Iv also got to say if we where including Stanford he would be right up there, its a travesty that he is so under used by WWE. And I have never understood the heat Cole gets on these forums, I think he is by far the best play by play guy the WWE have, he puts over talent and story lines and generally does a good job IMO. I agree his heel character could be very overbearing, and he does the occasional thing that could be considered irritating but I still think he is by far the best the WWE have.
I used to be a huge fan of Ross and Lawler but I have to admit they are not the same as they used to be, Jerry seems outdated and cheesy and Jim Ross is not quite the Attitude era Jim Ross, having said that I feel the style of commentary has changed a lot and that is perhaps what is hurting Lawler, whereas as Jim Ross has also had his well documented health issues.

The announcers are very, very good. The problem is that we've historically enjoyed legendary announcers (Vince, Heenan, Gorilla, Macho Man, Ventura) and these announcers aren't anywhere close to their level.
