damn will...my immortal. Easily Evanescence's best song...loved it in Daredevil.
While connection can always be made, I've always found it rather ironic that a good 70% or more of my favorite songs are depressing. I enjoyed the entire soundtrack (except Moby) to Daredevil. 20 songs, and I loved 18. (minus Moby's and an instrumental)
The Cordy/angel thing was clever though...they got a seemingly happy moment, only for Cordy to not actually be real and to die at the end of the episode (i got a little choked up). That being said...it played into Angel's character well, cursed to never be allowed to find true happiness.
Again.. the irony.
Anyways, you're very true. While I begun everything with Buffy & Angel, I just couldn't grip them nearly as much as I later could Cordy & Angel. The closest individual I could ever grip Buffy to was Riley, merely because I just found it stupid (other than the irony) for her to be with a Vampire. (let alone two)
I mean, a Vampire (with soul or otherwise) is still a dark and brooding creature. Buffy, no matter how bad ass she is suppose to be.. is still a blonde teenage girl, from California, with the name that just points out stupidity. Angel (to me) was above that, above her.
Furthermore, Cordy grew up in L.A.. Buffy never grew up. If anything, she decreased.
But the Fred, Wes deaths were just wrong. Gunn was also poor the last series.
They could've given Fred & Wes half a season. Hell, even more than just the episode they gave them. What'd they get anyway, one show, two at most before she died? I won't get over them killing her.. but again, the character she became was very cool in its own right.
Gunn was poorly written in the last season, same with Angel for that matter. Angel went from brooding to corp. And Gunn went from street smart brawler, to harvard educated lawyer.
Lynsey was the only character that went up in my view. ok, enough Angel talk.
I completely agree with this. Lyndsey (sp?) was the only character (outside of Fred's, if you call it that) that truly progressed into anything major. I can not tell you how much of a fan of his I am..
During the latter seasons regarding Darla. Then his return, with the symbols, then into helping them in the end. To be honest, his death was somewhat stupid as well.. since I don't actually think he would've turned on them.. yet Leore swerves everyone by being the guy to kill him.
Finally.. you can never have enough Angel talk.
