I for one don't hate rap thats for sure. I actually love Black Star as well, I listen to a ton of Talib Kweli. I pretty much just don't like any rap that you will see on MTV or BET or whatever. Because it's garbage. I like mostly underground stuff like Apathy but also old school stuff like Big L and Geto Boys. Pretty much I like any rap where the rhymes are actually complicated and very very good. Anything by Jedi Mind Tricks or Army of the Pharoahs.

Talib Kweli is the best he came to Madison in August and it was one of the best shows Ive ever been to. and like you said rap on MTV and BET is so different compared to stuff like him or anybody like that its ridiculous people like Talib Kweli put effort into there music but the people who make the money are the ones that just put out music with generic lyrics and terrible rhymes rap music is a sad buisness. and now to a video staying with the Talib Kweli them here it is
