R-Truth Theme Song?

truth doesnt need one plain and simple. i used to think he need one but now im used to it and it fits him. "THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE" is perfect :)

I agree I think Truth is one of the few wrestlers that could enter without any music, his entrance was short and too the point. R-Truth is one of my favorite characters on raw its something different. And I preferred him without music because when he made an entrance he could just come out talking right away which is always funny.

It is a little bit shit. In comparison to his previous "theme", it's very shit. Truth is a unique character, and he had a unique theme. That theme not being a theme at all. It was perfect. It added to his crazy guy gimmick and entrance. Now he's got a bad remixed theme with some guitars on it. I have no idea why WWE have done this. There must be some logical, business reason because I can't imagine anyone thinking this was the best thing for R-Truth.

Bottom line, it IS a business decision. It costs 99 cents to download an entrance theme. No one is going to pay 99 cents for a five second quote and two minutes of silence. The lack of song suited his character, but someone realized that it's another piece of music that they can sell. People don't have to download "Ride of the Valkyries" from WWE, they can get it elsewhere. I'm sure that factored into Bryan getting new music, too.

Yes, I think the new theme is rubbish; no, I don't think it's going to be in the top 10 downloads. I doubt they have to pay Jim Johnston much, or anything if he's salaried, to add some guitar over the existing "What's Up?" theme without adding the vocal track to the mix. If five people download it, that's $5 in revenue, most of which WWE gets to keep for themselves. Corporations are glad to make a dollar beyond what they deem satisfactory. That's business.

I think that with the heat being fresh before, it was cool to have no music because crowds jeers and cheers would fill the space. However, as time goes on you have to be careful that he doesn't walk out to silence. Also, that story may be coming to an end and the whole no music thing was directly related to that story line.

You're missing the point. It's not about burying Truth, or contributing to it, as you insinuate. His theme certainly won't "make or break WWE's pocketbook", but they can't make money off of silence. It's a corporate thing, in the name of business. What do you think WWE cares more about: making money or the gimmick of one guy amongst hundreds who have worked for the company? Consider that a rhetorical question.

I don't think his one theme would have made or break WWE's pocketbook so they should have left the shit alone. But he gets buried at capitol punishment by a damn drink, gets buried by Orton on smackdown and has really just lost a ton of fire. Man this guy was in the mist of one of the biggest character revamps in recent memory. Had tons of heat had all the fans interested, great mic time, great theme and now look where he's at. Then to top it off he gets a shit theme too.
BURIED BURIED FUCKIN EVERYONE WHO LOSES GETS BURIED

That's what you sound like. Every post you use that word. I think you're confusing "loses" or "lost" with buried. They are not equivalent.

Truth is more over now than he was before. The whole "Little Jimmy" thing is great for him. I thought that the no music entrance was cool, kinda liked that instead. However, WWE doesn't just do shit for no reason, they have a reason and we have yet to likely find out. Whether that means a storyline change or a financial reason.

By financial I don't mean "downloading the theme" because I really doubt that many people download his theme. I'd guess they make less than 500 bucks off his theme. It's not a particularly catchy theme and he's not a massive star with a super well produced song like Orton's or Cena's or even Miz's. I think maybe it was an advertising thing or maybe a sponsor suggested it for some reason. Like I said, we probably don't know and may never know.

It could have even been that Truth requested it for whatever reason. Maybe he feels like he performs better with some sort of noise coming on before.

His entrance theme, (or lack their of) was a perfect fit for his conspiracy theorist character, and im a little upset they gave him music. He is the first superstar in which seems like forever that didnt have official entrance music, and he could be a champ (obviously not a babyface) because he can perform in the ring, and is now very interesting on the mic, and i hope they give him another shot at the title in the future

The new theme he had this past monday was fine and I would not change it because it took his spoken part of his last "theme" and combined it with the beat of his what's up rap theme. This new "The truth has set me free!" theme works great for him. It is nowhere near as annoying as his what's up rap got by the end, better than the last "theme" by it having the beat part in it, and the worst of all was his time to get crunk theme.... That was the single worst WWE theme ever and whoever came up with that deserved to get fired.

They've recycled old themes for new superstars before. When I was younger I played the Papa Shango theme at double speed and it actually sounded better. I would be willing to break into the production booth to pump that in when Truth was expecting dead silence.

I agree, buried is kind of harsh. After over use it loses its flavor and starts to sound like the past tense of having berries thrown at you.

Did John Cena "bury" R-Truth? I havent seen much of Truth lately. Does he even have an angle anymore?

Thing with R-Truth I dont know if anyone else caught it but they tried sneaking the darker version of Whats Up back on him, after THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE, dark whats up starts playing .. the crowd was confussed. I still think Little Jimmy should be Jimmy Hart, let Jimmy work his magic w Truth and see what happens.
