Question regarding WWE/TNA on widescreen

I figured I would ask this here since it has more to do with television than wrestling

So I do not have a widescreen tv since I have not had the money in recent months but I do have a question to ask concerning WWE & TNA programming. I have seen feeds and streams of shows and we see the WWEHD logo on the upper left hand corner. I don't see that on my standard square screen tv. My question is if I watch RAW, SmackDown and TNA on a widescreen tv but not the HD feed will I still get the same size picture if I were to watch an HD feed? Sorry if this is a little confusing but I can't think of any other way to word it. Can anyone answer this question of mine?

It depends on your cable provider. Some, you have to go the specified HD channel to get the HD feed and if you are on the regular channel, u get a square picture that could be a little cut off. Sometimes it will stretch it out, but you won't get an extended, clearer picture. However, cable providers are working on eliminating specific HD channels so that boxes and feeds have HD recognition and will simply feed the HD feed to the regular channel if you have an HD capable TV. That is only the case with select providers at this point.

I hope that helps buddy.

It does. My fiance and I are looking into getting a nice widescreen HD tv when we get out of our apartment and I was just wondering if I should bother getting the HD channels from Comcast or just stick what I have and watch the standard USA feed and still get the widescreen picture. Honestly I could care less if I get to see just how many beads of sweat are on the guys or how many colors are on a guy's tights. I'm just tired of seeing things cut off on the sides of my screen.
