Tarantino talks about his career, Django, Inglorious Basterds, Prometheus, and the possibilities of doing a TV series. Good stuff, and it's worth the time, especially if you're a fan of Tarantino.

In the videos or somehwere else? I know Lee is protesting against Django now, but I didn't notice a Spike Lee mention in either clip.

Katt Williams said if he ever sees Tarantino he will kick his ass over Django.

And Spike Lee has hated him ever since he used the n-word in Pulp Fiction.

Katt Williams sounds like a guy, who's looking for attention. And Lee likes to use the race card to justify his jealousy and bitterness. Tarantino is vastly superior to Lee, when it comes to writing and directing, and when it comes to directing, Lee can only dream of being in the same league as Eastwood.

Perhaps it's just me, but does anyone else get really annoyed whilst listening to Tarantino? He's just a vastly annoying voice at times...that and sometimes he comes across as up his own backside.

I understand where you're coming from with the voice, and the only thing that annoyed me in the Ferguson videos was Tarantino's mimicking of a lap dance. Other than that, I love to hear any conversation with him. Tarantino's an engaging guy, and he's got a great sense of humor.

I love Quentin Tarantino - he's one of the best minds in the industry - but he's real annoying to listen to. He laughs at his own jokes, and his voice is just kinda high pitched and incessant. I think his mind is probably going faster than he can relay the message, and it just comes off as obnoxious and cluttered. He reminds me of Leno actually; just intelligent. He's also not a usual to the media spotlight, so I don't blame him.

Also, Spike Lee can suck it. He's not the only person alive that's allowed to talk about racism and slavery. I'm sorry, but the opinions of Jamie Foxx and Sam Jackson mean more to me than Spike Lee's any day of the week.

I don't get Spike Lee's hate on Tarantino. Granted I haven't seen Django, but Tarantino seems like a guy who trys to keep things as genuine as possible (hence the n-word a lot) I know Spike Lee can be a good director, I thought Malcolm X was brilliant and people say Do The Right Thing is also great, but I can't think of any other Spike Lee films, so it might be partially due to jealousy

I believe Tarantino is dyslexic, which probably plays into his unusual speech patterns.

And yes, as much as I enjoy the guy he is his own biggest fan.

The film is set a couple years before the Civil War, and takes place in Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. The n-word was thrown around a lot in those areas at that time.

I agree, I think their is some jealousy there. I said it earlier, back in Pulp Fiction when Tarantino's character said the n-word multiple times it upset Spike. Spike went so far as to ask if Tarantino wanted to be made an honorary black man. Samuel Jackson came to his defense though, and blasted Spike Lee, claiming Tarantino was making good films, something Spike hadn't done is some time. Since then Spike and Jackson haven't been on great terms either.

Not trying to say Kerry Washington's views makes her the voice of all black people, but she's really liberal and very outspoken about race issues in this country, and I have to believe if someone like her is willing to star in a film like this, then it really can't be disrespectful towards the black race at all.

Spike Lee has made some really good films and I actually do like the guy, but his views on Tarantino has always came across to me as jealousy more than anything else. If neither of these guys were filmmakers and simply co-workers at Blockbuster, I'm positive they would be the best of friends. But, Spike hates Quentin's success since a lot of it involves "black dialogue."

What's your pick for Spike's best film? I would go with the Malcolm X biopic, mainly because of Denzel's compelling and powerful performance. I enjoy Do The Right Thing, but I would put Jungle Fever over it, because DTRT is a slightly overrated film in my eyes.

25th Hour is by far his best film IMO. I'd probably place Malcolm X at 2, and Do the Right Thing at 3. Do the Right Thing was fantastic until the ending, which I thought was just awful. It should have been just a day in Brooklyn, but instead Spike decided to add in the over-dramatic stuff at the end to prove some stupid point, when all he did was make his character and his race look bad by doing so.

Crooklyn, He Got Game, and Clockers are three other good Spike Lee films. I don't like any of his other work, especially Jungle Fever and Miracle at St. Anna. I also think his Oldboy remake is going to be a massive failure.
