The funny thing is I was actually going to start a similar thread, so let me try to edit the post I typed up in word a bit and sum it up.
1) The bottom line is, TNA is the WWE reject squad. You have your Kurt Angle, Sting, and Christian Cage who respectable athletes and not rejects, but the rest of them, even Booker T, are rejects. I agree 100% with the headline that was posted on the main page:
Basically the article says that TNA picking up Booker shows a WWE star that failed a drug test and was willing to give up money, fame, and security, calling TNA a safe haven for those that refuse to comply with WWE’s Wellness Policy.
Granted, Booker's only option was to take a back seat to HHH, but he makes himself look really bad leaving the company and showing up in TNA in this manner, much like Kurt Angle did with the way he went about jumping ship.
The rest are tired losers that need to find a way to redefine themselves. VKM? give me a break, last time I watched impact, they were still doing the same intro and running to Stanford, CT to use a megaphone to yell at the WWE building in the middle of the night. If they really had balls, they'd walk in their dressed for business with a camera and demand to speak with Vince, or even set up an appointment. I lost A LOT of my respect for TNA for doing that for not only running of an old DX skit, but for trying to be "edgy" and "risky" by showing the WWE headquarters on television.
Paul Bearer (is he the real one or just a user with that name?) said that it adds credibility, but I think it does the opposite. It shows us exactly why these guys aren't in the WWE anymore. If Bret Hart came back and did a last run/retirement program he'd probably look worse in the ring than Gillberg; it's much better to remember these guys for their greatness rather then watching them make fools of themselves.
2) The biggest problem I currently have with TNA, the show feels more like "The Kurt Angle and Friends Show" rather than "TNA Impact!" Angle seems to have complete control over when he has the belt, and it's boring in all honesty. He should be putting guys over and having back and forth fueds rather than having Sting put him over. Their current fued doesn't get them anywhere, it just keeps newer guys from getting a shot to show what they've got; which is fine if TNA wants to stay where they are, but is not fine if they want to move forward and catch up to a level where WWE is.
3) Commentators, this has been covered, but I want to re-enforce the point in case anyone from TNA Management is reading. Don West should also be renamed to "Captian Obvious". It could be worse though, Tony "Gee Willicars" Schiovane and Larry Zybysco could be doing commentary like they did in WCW... *shudder*... "The human game of chess.... blah blah blah...." *shivers*
4) Promos, again something that's been covered, just read Lance Storm's blog and he makes the point "Clear as Crystal."
5) 6 Sided Ring and 2 Entrances. Why? Seriously... why? I've seen some legitimate screwups where guys forget they are in a 6 sided ring, especially back when the guys would work RoH then come back to TNA. I get the whole different thing, but it's just hard on the eyes, and forces the camera to be further way from the ring sometimes because of the width. I've watched TNA off and on for a couple of years and even been to a couple of shows, it just looks awkward, everytime.
Why have two entrances? Remove one and put more seats in, it will seriously help and give a bigger feel to things.

Now, what I DO like about TNA.
1) They have fueds, and some of them seem legitimate. The Dudley's (Team 3-D) and MCMG (Motor City is two words, it's not Motorcity) had a nice fued. It was nice to not only see a tag team fued that wasn't for a title, but to see one that had some substance. WWE has completely run their tag teams to shit, even though they keep making it feel like they're trying to beef it up.
2) Mid-Card competition! X-Division is awesome, 'nuff said. I do agree though, that your Mid-Card can't run your company, which is why they've taken the emphasis away from it.
3) Wrestling! More then just kicks, punches, clotheslines, and leg drops. Seeing suplexes, pile drivers, and all sorts of other things is awesome. It makes it interesting to see, and WWE really needs to lighten up on their bans if they want to get some good wrestling back. Most matches are really boring, punch and kick fests in WWE, so seeing actual risk makes it much more interesting.

Just a response to Paul Bearer (again)...
And as far as old goes, why is it a problem with TNA using old stars, when the WWE's main event scene is made up of...Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and The Undertaker, nope, no age there. Not to mention that the guy with the most camera time this year is the 60 year old owner of the company, and another guy in his mid 40's in Finlay in the upper mid card scene.
The reason it's a problem is because most of the older guys in TNA are out of shape and completely washed up (Stieners, VKM, Outsiders) or close to getting there (Angle is going to break his neck soon, word is he's having a lot of neck pain and getting back on pain killers). While Michaels is balding, he can at least move for PPVs or when he really wants to. HHH may not be the best wrestler ever but he can cut a promo and get you into his character enough to want to watch the match before it happens. WWE just seems to have a much higher standard for their main carders and the shape they need to stay in (Ric Flair being the biggest exception to this).
As for Vince getting the most air-time, I think he's gotten the message and stepped back a bit in recent weeks. He was getting really bad, but it's gotten better.

I'm not saying WWE is perfect, it has its own laundry list of problems, but TNA is even deeper in the mud then WWE. I honestly think if Spike grew some nuts and put them on Monday night, that they'd do much better out of necessity to survive rather than being "that show on Thursday that I usually forget about." My friends and I all agree, we associate Monday with Wrestling, and unless Spike takes a chance (at least air a replay for a couple of nights to test it out, so all of us that forget can go back to flipping), TNA will remain the little engine that could.
