On the 25th, the sequel to one of the most talked-about Survival Horror games will be released. Dead Space was out in 2008 and it immediately became a big success. To me, it's the next Resident Evil, but in space. There no Star Trek or Star Wars similarities here; It's more like the Alien movies but you're all alone. The gameplay style, atmosphere, and enemies is what caused Dead Space to become such a success.
In a generation where Survival Horror games have gone downhill, the Dead Space franchise is pretty much the best American Horror video game franchise today. Resident Evil was the best in Survival Horror in the U.S., but like many things, it went downhill. Now, Dead Space 2 will most likely prove that it's the best at what it is and that it's better than Resident Evil.
You're still playing as Issac Clarke in this one. From what's been told, the game continues right after the ending of the first game. The weapons from the first game will be in this one, but you'll also have more new weapons to choose from to dismember and destroy enemies in many different, gory ways. New and old enemies will also be appearing and the boss battles seem to be more horrifying than before. Online Multiplayer will also be compatible this time. You'll be able to play as either Isaac Clarke or the Necromorphs online.
