PPV Poster Competiton: Hell In A Cell

Daniel

Of Ace Stevens fame.
You know the score. Make a poster for Hell In A Cell, post it in this thread, people go "oooh" and "ahhh" and everyone is happy. I'm well aware that this thread is late, but I'm going to shift the blame onto WWE's dumbass PPV schedule. So please address all complaints to Titan Towers, Stamford, Connecticut.

This. ladies and gentlemen, is my entry. I haven't produced anything on Photoshop for about a month, so I am a little rusty and I have no idea whether this is good or not. So feedback would be massively appreciated. I started with the main image (it was the only decent-sized Hell In A Cell picture I could find) and added a grunge texture of the top of it set to overlay. Then came a key element to this: the orange and purple gradient map I put over the top of it. There's some black brushing around the focal of the image and then came the text. Because the main part of the image takes up the whole poster, I had no choice but to put the text directly in the middle. I'm not sure if it was a good or bad move. And the font is Times New Yorker. I really like it.

Anyway, now it's your turn. I'm excited to see what everyone produces.

I was making a poster for Vengeance when I realized I never did one for HIAC. I realize this is late, but I enjoyed making it.

I started with a destroyed city image from google and worked around that. I duplicated that image and desaturated it. I then set it on multiply to give it a darker feel. Next I added in a render of Mark Henry, who I felt was the perfect poster child for this. I duplicated the render and again desaturated it and set it on darken so it blended better with the background. Next I wanted to go with the same approach the WWE did and base the poster around fire. So I got the fire art from PSDdreams and duplicated it that I had four images to work with (one for each side). I then merged them together, duplicated it, and you guessed it I desaturated it. I also set this layer on darken like the Henry render. I then added the HIAC logo and the basic information, set it on screen and called it a night. Pretty simple, but I loved the turnout.
