Fucking Hostile
Potential is a word thrown around a lot in the IWC these days, you are always hearing people say "so and so has the potential to be the next HHH if they can just work on this" or "he doesn't have any potential to do anything good." A prime example of this would be John Morrison, for so long we have heard people sing Morrison's praises saying he has the potential to be the next HBK but all these years later we are only just now starting to really see his true potential shine through.
There are many others on the current WWE roster who many feel have the potential to be great, the likes of Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan and Jack Swagger are all touted as having endless potential yet in most those cases we are yet to see that potential really shine through and transform itself into the kind of talent needed to be a main eventer.
In all of the instances it certainly can't be blamed on lack of opportunity John Morrison had matches against the likes of Jeff Hardy, Edge and Rey, Kofi was given a feud with Randy Orton, Swagger was given a title reign and Daniel Bryan main evented Summerslam, yet with these opportunities to shine their potential didn't really shine through as much as many feel it could have.
All three of these people have been wrestling for a long time so why have we yet to see them reach what many feel could be their full potential?
So my questions on this subject are:
Why do you think it takes some people much longer than others to reach what many feel to be their full potential?
How long should someone with potential be persisted with before you expect that potential to transform into actual talent?
What is the difference between having potential and having talent?
How should someone with potential, but who has not yet converted that potential into talent he handled?
