Possible D-Generation X Reunion?

Let's face it, it's not exactly improbable.

The WWE Merchandice machine keeps grinding out new DX shirts, it even did when both men were injured. Now, I see a re-uniting of the oldest teenagers in the world as soon as Monday Night.

Let's add up the points:

First, last week, Orton and Umaga destroy Triple H.

Then, later in the night, HBK returns, starting a rivalry with Orton.

So, this week (yes, that's tomorrow) I see Orton/Umaga vs. DX happening. And I'll be there. And by God, if it happens, I'll pop. I know I shouldn't, but I will.

God I hope not. But I wouldn't be surprised. It didn't work last year. So it certainly wont this year. In fact if they reunite they'll look even more pathetic than last time. Trip's looks bloated and HBK has got hobo facial hair.

What I propose is that instead of reuniting they just make new shirts so HBK & Hunter can wear them. That way that give's the illusion that D-X are still together, but we don't have to see the lame skits.

ugh, I sure hope we don't get another DX reunion, it's old and tiresome now, I wouldn't mind seeing Trips and HBK team up but not as DX, the whole DX think just doesn't work well with these guys as faces, I say just let the DX thing die and come up with something that is fresh and new

A DX Re-union is likely if only because its safe. They have the merchandise already and they have the fanbase for purchasing the merchandise.

If you are at a WWE show, are you going to buy a DX shirt if there is no DX...of course now, because that wouldn't be cool. That would be like wearing a NWO shirt or NOD shirt. It's not 'IN'. You will however purchase the merchandise if the faction exists, that way you can mark out 'Hey, look at me, I'm wearing a DX shirt, I'm cool"

So...while its not guarenteed they will return, it is likely and nothing original will come from it

I'm still waiting for King Booker to come down, scissor kick Michaels and say

they seriously need to stop rehasing old ideas/storylines...create a new faction would work well, just not Dx.

how much longer can they rely on HHH and Hbk to be the top draws before people get sick of it?

i think starting a 'new breed/blood' type faction would be a good idea with guys like shelton, kennedy, possibly carlito, maybe cade/murdoch, move MVP over and let him join, it would give these guys something to do instead of having random 1 month feuds and then disappearing from TV for a few weeks....or they could just push hhh, hbk as they have been doing for awhile now, i know which i'd prefer

It really looks like it will happen. Mostly because RAW is down in the gutter with ratings and will do anything to boost them. Lets just hope that it's just a one night, one match reunion. DX will never be the DX '97 one because of HBK's beleifs and because DX doesn't work with faces, they'd have too both go heel, and that obviously won't happen. The other downside with DX is HHH and HBK are main eventers and if DX is back then they're a tag team.

With HBK returning from injury a lot sooner than anticipated he probably won't wrestle until Cyber Sunday, except for maybe a short match against a jobber (Santino or Carlito). With Triple H not being one of the options to face Orton at Cyber Sunday, he will probably have a rematch with Umaga as he won't leave himself out of a PPV. However, in the long run they will probably reunite but only for a night like Undertaker and Kane did last week on Smackdown.

The only way i think a dx reunion will help the wwe is if they make it a faction more than a tag team. the tag team dosent work because michaels dosent need triple h and triple h dosent need hbk.
however think how much some of the guys on the roster could benefit from being in a 5 or 6 person faction with these 2.
If they turned mr kennedy face he could go into main event status.
cody rhodes has shown comedy value with the trojan condom segment, he also hates randy orton so that would be logical.
maybe one of the tag teams could join and become a fresh new age outlaws.

For ratings sake they NEED this.I wish smackdown would do like a minstery of darkness type stable with taker upducting people again like they did back in 2000.that was good stuff there. But with HBK coming back and Jericho pretty much confirmed to come back i think Raws rating should be back in the hunt for a rise.Hopefully Vince starts feeling pressure from TNA going two hours. But i defintaly see a DX reunion happening.Both guys HATE orton.

I think the crotch chop is just going to be incorporated into HHH's face persona from now on, it doesn't mean DX is coming back every time he does it. It's just a gesture that gets the crowd pumped.

I wouldn't expect to see this reunion happen, except for (like everyone else has said) a one night thing here and there and they'll probab;y wrestle as a tag team at a lot of house shows.

Should DX return, which I actually hope they do. I never got a chance to see the old DX, so this is really still entertaining for me as well as I'm sure many new fans. Anyways. If they return let them do their little feud with Vine, but after that please WWE keep them as a tag team at least. Even if they don't team up often like Kane and Taker on SD!, reason being Raw is in dire need of face teams now. I think Londrick is the onlyface team left on Raw since the Highlanders went heel. I also think that if DX returns that ratings will go up for a little while, but WWE will need to come up with new material, and a lot of it for them.

The problem is people love the DX angle, and as Chewy said, the Ministry angle, and really all the angles that remind us of WWF Attitude. Now, this is a new era, maybe not as good as the Attitude Era, but they really can't keep reusing dead angles to draw back the fans.. it's going to just become reruns after a while.

I dont think they really got to finish them off.. I think they where suposed to get the Titles.. But HHH got injured so they let Cena and HBK hold the titles together.. wich didnt work out to good..

For ratings and merchandise that they're losing with Cena (since we have to agree, the reason he was champ for that long was due to merchandise and his popularity with the little kids) they'll most likely reunite. However, the way I see it going down is that we won't have the skits. By now, everyone has ingrained HBK/HHH in their memories - we all know they're friends and former tag team partners time and time again. So I could see them tagging together often, and when they do, coming out to the DX theme, however, using their normal themes for their singles matches. We'll have an implied DX always there but nothing 100% substantial.

Of course if I had it my way, we'd have a faction again with people that could fit in the DX persona (like Shannon Moore, Matt and Jeff, etc). They won't do that, though, or bring back the Nation, which I'd also like.

i believe like many of the attitude era fans that dx was and will always be ground breakers. But thats where they should stay as ground breakers. Its time for a new breed of ground breakers.wwe please stop bringing back broken superstars...

How much can they really milk the fans for? i mean seriously. they did it in 1999. they did it again a few times. they fake hype it. they NWO'd it... and its the same crap again and again. unless DX goes and attacks TNA or something they cant do crap. it will be the same old DX vs Authority except now they both need wheelchairs.

The only reason I wouldn't mind a DX reunion would be to help develop young talent and put them in the group with HHH and HBK. Maybe like CM Punk and some other younger talent of some sort

I agree that DX was great for WWE back in the day. I understand people's concerns that it may get redundant having DX around again. Maybe they just need to repackage them a bit, add a few new members.

If people are still chanting, "What?!" then I still see hope for DX. I mean, I am so sick of "What?!" It was funny the first MONTH that Austin did it. After that, it just got old and stupid. But that hasn't stopped so many of the fans from doing it.

Raw needs them to get back together at least until Wrestlemania to save RAW and over that time bring new members like Lashley when he comes back into it. Mabey bring Stephinne into it to make it a little more interesting then just DX vs. Vince and Shane.

First of all, to anybody who claims its not the cool thing to wear NWO shirts, let me just tell you that since it died, orginally(yes, as in back in 99ish) i have seen, at almost every single Raw, Smackdown and PPV show at least one NWO shirt or sign.

face it folks, its like Hollywood said "whether you like us or you don't like us, we're the best thing going today"(yes, i know he stole it from Flair, that was the point). Without the NwO we might not have ever had the Attitude Era.

Sadly, Austin and The Rock are the reasons why the WWE NwO angle failed, as neither one wanted to lose to Hall or Hogan, due to them not liking them for their role in almost ending the WWF.(Kevin Nash spoke about all this in an interview he did for the Punisher Movie way back when that came out).

On to DX. I love both guys(Hunter being my favorite wrestler), and I would love to see DX come back, but i will readily admit they need new blood in it. personally I wish they would create/bring back more factions, as I love factions...NOD(Burke, Lashley, and the returning Cryme Tyme maybe?), New Breed type group(Londrik, Orton, Kennedy, heels), etc..

No way can it possibly happen. I mean I love both of these men and I loved DX, but thats exactly my point I loved them.

Last year when DX returned it was a pleasant surprise but they were nothing compared to the old DX and it was just sucky to see them try.

Another DX reunion wouldn't do anything. Maybe they can tag together but DX should not be reuinited.

I would agree that DX should come back. I expect on Monday, Mr.Mcmahon talking trash to the fans and what happened last week. Suddenly every thing goes green. William Regal also is doing terrible as a general manager. They need to have Jericho as GM. That would be funny.

That'll be the best thing that has happened since DX reunited last time and then Triple H unfortunately got injured. i know i wuld luv 2 see DX reunite, it'll bring back the real wrestling, instead of the fake stuff i've been gettin the last 2 months. and it'll make everbody step their game up.
