If she believed <insert random less accepted prejudice here> would she make a good ambassador and spokeswoman (which are the main things beauty queens end up doing)? This isn't hot or not, more than appearance does have relevance. I think they ask them about current events so I am not sure how gay marriage should be off limits. As for the Miss USA thing, I still fail to see what anything related to politics or social issues has to do with a beauty pageant, or why we're having a "celebrity" in essence take away the title from her because she said something he disagreed with, but whatever. She looked good in her swimsuit and that's about all that matters out of such a competition.
