Am I the only one who despises this?
In movies and television shows, people talk about their dreams as though they hold real significance and people listen intently. "Wow, that's so interesting", "Wow, that must have been eye-opening and profound." Does anybody here listen like that when other people recount the events of their dreams?
You know those dreams people have on television or in movies where something dramatic is about to happen and you wake up in a tizzy? I had one of those last night. T'was dramatic. Glow in the dark dollar sign tattoos and growth spurts were involved. At the end, I was sitting next to a guy I know (We were in his bedroom or a library, I'm not sure which). He had the tattoos on his arms. Somehow, his room/the library was also a stage on a road that goes through my campus. The guy left for a moment and this lady I know climbed up on the stage and told me about her class. She was going to leave and I felt threatened by that fact. Upset. At that moment, my buddy returned to the scene and she stayed to talk with him. This made me feel insecure. Then, she grew to be ten feet tall. As I gazed up at her, she asked if one of us wanted to kiss her. The way she said it struck me as unnatural. It was almost a mocking tone. Also, as I gazed up at her, I imagined that her silhouette at the moment must look rather phallic. I woke up with the same dumb look on my face that I had at the end of the dream.
Is this dream significant or profound?
