So, while searching the internet for upcoming shows, I came across Paramore doing a headlining tour, at some small, but rather well known venues across the country. Locally, at least for me, they'll be playing at the Electric Factory in Philly, and I also saw they'd be playing at Hammerstein Ballroom shortly after that.
I like that they're headlining, as it shows they've finally made it big enough to do so, and that it can only lead to bigger and better things. However, maybe they're peaking a bit early. They just did a tour opening for No Doubt, and now they're grabbing two (much) smaller bands to open for them. I don't see how it could hurt them for now, but maybe in the long run, it'll hurt that they've already toured with bands too small to draw anyone that isn't already a fan. The bands opening for them will see huge sales, and a boom in the fanbase, so no one can blame them for tagging along.
What do you think? Will you be going to see the show? Do you think this is a sign of things to come for Paramore, or is it too early for them to be out on their own?
