Paige's progression.

Since this is a thread about a Diva, it will probably not be so popular, but I'm paying close attention to Paige (and AJ of course) and those two are really entertaining together. I love their chemistry and I think they have found their rival.

When Paige debuted on the main roster after WM, you could definitely see she was panicking. It took her some time to adjust to the bigger crowd and her mannerisms and general performance was average. Ever since AJ came back and especially after she turned "semi-heel", she has jumped to a whole new level. "Mocking" AJ's skip, the talking she does during and after her matches and all those little things she does, whether in a promo or a match. To me, these things just make her really enjoyable and I'm glad she is finally finding her place and her way to work. She is still so young and she can become really big as a Diva if she stays around for many years. There is obviously room for improvement, but at the moment, she is doing a damn good job, to the point that not only do I not fast forward her segments, but I even pay close attention to them.

I agree, she has really developed since her main roster debut. However there is still a lot of room to further develop in the future. The main issue I have, is that she has started at the top of the divas division so at some point she will be moved away from that, either off of the card completely or into a male dominated story. It is once either of these happen that we will see if she has developed enough to be able to rebound and stay relevant.

One can sum it up by saying that Paige was lucky enough to draw her initial assignment with AJ. Probably, every diva on the roster would love to be paired with her, as AJ is the woman who has garnered the biggest diva reactions in WWE since Trish Stratus....and whether AJ has worked programs with the guys or the gals, she's seen a degree of success in all of them.

Now, it's Paige.....and I'm wondering how the divas in the back feel about the new girl coming in and being given the choicest parts and most effective partner. That's nothing against Paige, btw; she's pretty good at the technical end, which certainly can't be said for all divas. But because of her interactions with AJ, Paige has been allowed to develop a ring personality and style that works when she's facing other divas, too.

It's all good. Hopefully, by the time AJ has moved onto something else, the Paige persona will be sufficiently developed for her to function on her own.

As mustang sally said,im sure there is jealously amongst the other Divas. But the painful fact is only three of them can actually work.. AJ,Paige,Natalya. Thats about it. Paige has improved a lot the mocking AJ's Skip,pretending to be crazy those things.. If you want to make it in this business,Paige cannot care what the others think cold blooded as it sounds,its true..

Paige is really coming into her own though.. Such a young age,we all thought too much too soon,but she is proving all her doubters wrong. Its a great thing to see.

Honestly I'm still not convinced by her excessively, yes her mocking AJ is fine and all but it seem almost to be lacking a personality of her own aside from "I have a british accent and I hate AJ for some nonspecific reason". But if the alternative is that awful match the funkadactyls had last raw (which borderlined in unintentionally funny territories), yeah I'll take paige matches and promo every day.

I was very underwhelmed with Paige at first, her fans praised her as if she was Trish and Lita's love child so I was anticipating her debut like I was when Kharma was set to wreak havoc. I did cut her some slack since she was obviously adapting to performing on a bigger stage, but her personality, like the OP said, didn't go far from British accent champion. They spoke of her being the anti-diva on commentary, and that was about it. She's obviously a better worker than the Bellas and Eva Marie, but that's really not saying much since Eva sucks and the Bellas improved from being pretty worthless all around.

A lot of people thought it was cheap to hand AJ the title back immediately, I was glad about it. Since she's lost the title, though, she's quickly became a favorite of mine. The "frienemies" storyline has been done well, and she's been able to show a little more of her personality. Granted from following her on social media her personality doesn't stray far from Brit Punk, she's still enjoyable.

I don't think she stole much from AJ besides the skip, her pushing AJ off they stage and her reaction to what she did was hilarious and something you wouldn't expect AJ to do. Also their exchange on RAW before that showed their differences too.

On a side note, I am just about tired of hearing only AJ, Paige, and Natalya are the only watchable divas. I for one do happen to enjoy the Bellas, not everything has been hit out of the park, some inning have been disastrous, but all in all from Stephanie v. Brie to Brie v. Nikki they've been entertaining, and both have tried to do better in the ring. Even if you despise them you still have Layla, Naomi, A. Fox, Emma, and a decent enough Summer Rae running around. Though WWE is to blame mostly for the lack of screen time outside of TD.

In terms of complete skill set she is the best women's wrestler on the roster right now, which is why AJ had to win tonight. Have to keep the rivalry going between the only 2 worth anything in the ring.

Nikki and Brie are awful and the rest of the women's division is non-existent. Paige is the best women's wrestler, IMHO, in a decade or longer...
