Paganfest 2008 (Metal)

Dark Match Jobber
Will anyone be going to Paganfest 2008? The line up is Turisas, Tyr, Ensiferum, and Eluveite. While I have never heard of Eluveite, the other three bands are among my favorite metal bands. This is the first time Turisas has set foot to tour on American soil. Turisas has an odd sound to it.. Kinda of like Finntroll, but not exactly. They have dubbed themselves "Battle Metal." This show is definitely work a go, and Turisas alone I feel is worth the ticket.

So if you're into metal, you should definitely check it out! There are really not expanding over many states, so I was wondering if anyone else will be going. Either way, I am gonna have to make a road trip.

I will definitely try to get tickets to go, maybe even more than one show. I love Folk Metal, Battle Metal, as you called it, or they call it. Ensiferum was one of my favorites a while back, while Jari was still the guitarist/vocalist. Since then, though, with the addition of this new guy, it's become more Folkish, and I still really like it, so I wouldn't mind seeing them again. Tyr and Turisas is definitely worth seeing, but the main attraction in my mind would be to hear Ensiferum again.

I might be going to Pagan Festival event in Leeds. Moonsorrow are about as epic it gets when it comes to Folk/Pagan Metal, Tyr are great, Ensiferum's earlier material was great, and not really a fan of Korpiklaani and Eluveitie.
