Here's a whole new twist on "cover". This is the last song that Freddie ever wrote, and you almost tingle listening to it. It's extremely sad, but it's about going on, and carrying on through everything, and it has the power to bring anyone to tears.
The Original:
The "Cover":
I'm personally a fan of Moulin Rouge, and think it often catches too much slack. It's a decent cheesy musical, and it's made so anyone can enjoy it. They did a lot of covers throughout the movie, and this one was probably the best. Like the others they did, it fit the story where it needed to, and was easy to listen to.
But, nothing will, and nothing should, ever be nearly as good as the original here. Mercury is a goddess when it comes to writing and performing, and this is probably him at his best. I enjoy the cover, but it's just not the same.
