So this is my first thread here (yay!) and I wanted to make it about something I haven't seen done to death but that still interests me. Now I did a search and Sable is certainly brought up pretty frequently but I couldn't find a topic dedicated just to what the posters here think of her.

So I thought I'd ask a few questiosns about what people on this forum think of Rena.

1. What do you score Sable as on Bret Hart's Rating System?

In case you are not familiar with it, in "Hitman" Bret scores wrestlers based on three things:
-Appearance
-Mic Skills/Charisma
In-ring ability/Workrate

Each score is out of 10. I think this system can be used for divas too so I'm curious to see what people would socre Sable.

2. Do you think Sable should get in the WWE Hall of Fame? Moreover, do you think they want her in it?

As one of the most over, if not the most over, female of one of the WWE's most prosperous eras, I think Sable should be a shoe-in for the HOF. However i've heard she left the 'E on very bad terms and she's currently married to the WWE's prodigy who turned his back on the company. So even if she is deserving of admission, they might not consider her.

3. Do you think Sable has had a positive or negative impact on WWE Womens' wrestling?

While Sunny was the pioneer of sex symbols in the WWF, Sable brought it from a strictly pretty manager/valet level to the wrestling level. I'm no great judge of wrestling ability but I think it's fair to say Sable got very far on her looks and not just her technical ability. That isn't to say she was just a pretty face. She was very charismatic too so that helped. But is it perhaps Sable's fault that womens' wrestling in the WWE in more modern times has been such a topic of disdain in the IWC? The WWE are looking for girls who have more talent shaking their ass than wrestling.

And that's all I have to ask. I'm just very curious to hear more informed posters' opinion on the subject of Sable.

She had big tits. Other than that, I really can't think of too many positive influences Sable has had on WWE Women's wrestling. She was over because was she was insanely hot in her prime, and she used to show off a lot of skin. I don't remember what pay per view this happened on, but there was a bikini contest between Sable and Jacqueline. Jacqueline flashed one of her nipples, and Sable showed us her famous breasts, which were covered by painted hand prints. Yeah, that's probably Sable's shinning moment of glory in her WWF/WWE career.

I can't remember one memorable match she had, and her in ring work wasn't anything special at all. As far as her mic skills go, she wasn't too good when it came to talking either. The majority of Sable's promos would include a bunch of sexual innuendos or she would just talk about how hot she was. Yeah, the crowd would give her a nice reaction, but I'm sure a lot of this happened because so many of the men in the audience would be fantasizing about having her in the sack. Ugh, I can remember her feud with Torrie Wilson when she returned in 2003.

Could Sable go be inducted into the Hall Of Fame? Sure. It might happen, but I don't think she's a lock. She won't be remembered as a legend in WWE's Women's division. That honor will go to Trish Stratus. Sable will be remembered as that really hot woman who showed us some skin during the attitude era, and she gave us some hot Playboy photos.

Sable was the first real hot Women's wrestler. Wendi Richter and Madusa was kind of hot, but the only hot women in wrestling was managers like Elizabeth, Missy Hiatt, and Sunny. Sable took Sunny's spot because she was not involved in Backstage Relationships like Sunny was, and quickly became the top woman in wrestling. But she was not a good talker or wrestler, she just had sex appeal and a good body. She ran her mouth and left, and when she came back in 2003 she was not as popular as before, mainly because Trish Stratus, Lita, and Torrie Wilson helped to make Hot women the norm in Wrestling.

In all fairness, she should not have been in Wrestling at all. She was more fitted to be in porn because of her crappy acting skills and her rocking bod. She really made the Lesbian angle work with Torrie Wilson, unlike Torrie who looked uncomfortable with the whole thing. Plus, according to many shoot interviews, she was hard to work with, which lessened her career in the long run. In my opinion, Sable was the woman version of the Ultimate Warrior, but not as accomplished.

I dunno. I thought Sable played a fine heel. She won't win any awads for her acting but she has the same talent as Bischoff. They can just sound smarmy and conceited naturally.

Just listen to her little intro about all the men coming to see her and the womaen wanting to be her. It sounded perfectly realistic to me.

Though admittedly it could be I was just ready for the grind and that clouded my judgment.

In case you are not familiar with it, in "Hitman" Bret scores wrestlers based on three things:
-Appearance 8 Beautiful but kinda fake looking - there have been several better looking natural women
-Mic Skills/Charisma 6 No real mic skill and her charisma was all based on her looks and exhibitionist nature
In-ring ability/Workrate 7 Not a Trish or Lita but was very good for this period in wrestling

Each score is out of 10. I think this system can be used for divas too so I'm curious to see what people would socre Sable.

Yes, along with Sunny - Sunny created the Diva model that WWe still uses today, but with the cases she has taken against the E - she probably has as much chance as Randy Savage

Generally positive, if it had not been for the popularity of Sable and Sunny we might never have had Trish, Lita or Mickie

And that's all I have to ask. I'm just very curious to hear more informed posters' opinion on the subject of Sable.

Nice post - don't put yourself down, you seem to have a very good grasp on your topic.

I never cared for Sable. She was the reason why Luna Vachon never became a champion. Her mic skills were average and she was simply a bad wrestler. Sunny had more of an impact on wrestling than Sable did. Don't get me wrong; she was an important part of the Attitude Era. No one can deny her popularity, but I'm not a fan.

I thought Sable was awesome.... I remember my eyes nearly popping out of my head when she showed us the handprint bikini...still one of the greatest wrestling moments of all time haha!

She could wrestle pretty well I thought, her Sable Bomb was decent and I always thought she was pretty competant in the ring. She was one of the "SEXY" WWE women, and as someone said earlier in the topic, alot of the divas now are based on the style of Sable, so she was extremely important in womens wrestling.

She was just average on the mic, same as most of the divas, but she wasnt horrible so I cant really criticise her there either.

1. Appearance - 8
Mic Skills - 7
Wrestling - 7

2. Well, Sable obviously did not do much in the ring. I mean, she did. It's not wrestling she did at most of the times. But if they take people who revolutionized the company in a way, I think she should be considered. Boy, she did make some impact!

Do they want her to be in it? Absolutely not. One of the reasons as it is well known that her departure was not in good terms. And since it is Sable, I seriously wouldn't risk having her on the HOF when it is PG now. Because they show the accomplishments in the screen before the induction. Sable's accomplishments are more X-rated. (lol. Imagine showing her treasures on the HOF screen which is supposed to be something very honorable.)

3. Sable did not have any impact on the way Women wrestle in WWE. Many women wrestlers before her, in the 'WWF' have performed a lot better. But did she have an impact on the women in WWE. Of course, yes. Sunny was the original diva, she did not put out much of a .......'show'. Sable showed us everything she had. And many divas followed suit and made people look forward to seeing women in WWE do something (until it was all stopped by what is known as "PG")
