Have to say I am a little shock they would make this kind of match for their divas. Though I am intrigued on how they will book this match as Beth is way more powerful than Melina, so she should be able to make Melina utter the words "I quit." With that said, I can see this being a short match, though the E can surprise me and have Melina pull the upset, but that would ruin all creditability to Beth so I just can not see her losing. Again, interesting match to have, but I doubt it last long and Beth should win as she can not lose a match that is tailor made for her.

I think this is the second greatest Diva match in back to back Pay Per Views, since the era of Trish & Lita.

While Melina wouldn't dare try and match strength with Beth, the fact is Beth isn't exactly Chyna freakish with her power, and Beth can be stopped. Shes been beaten by Mickie James, and convincingly. With that said, Melina can become smart enough to out-do Beth and pick up a victory. Do I see it happening? No. But it could. And thats what needs to be focused on.

Making this match an I Quit match focuses on the fact that Melina can use weapons, such as cable cords, wires, and illegal objects to choke Beth out with, and attempt making her quit that way. It doesn't have to be a solid wrestling match, to be down right one sided in Melina's favor. That little hell-cat can dish out punishment, and she shouldn't be underestimated.

Although I think all this is doing, is building to the aformentioned/assumed Ladder match at One Night Stand, in which Mickie James will likely take on Beth Phoenix, or possibly both of these two. I think the shocker would be Melina winning, however if anyone has a secret advantage, I'd say Beth would have Jillian helping her, which would result in Beth/Jillian v. Melina/Mickie tag matches. (how great would that be!)

All in all, I see Beth picking up the victory, but not without a fight that a lot of people probably aren't seeing coming, or giving Melina an ounce of credit in.

The reason that I find this match so exciting is not just because it's an "I Quit" match. That is part of it, but the real reason why I believe this match will be great is because it had some decent buildup. Somehow after months, no a whole year of tag team matches, repetitive feuds, and rivalries that just didn't click, Melina and Beth emerge from this wreckage of a Women's Division to actually be booked in a decent feud. Who knew? Who knew that it was not Mickie that would get Beth the boos we hear now, but Melina, and who knew it would be Beth that would earn Melina cheers? This whole feud is refreshing because it focuses on something besides jealousy and PB covers. The greatest friends always seem to make the greatest enemies, as we have seen in the past.

Now onto the actual "I Quit" match itself, I'm keeping my expectations low so that way I don't get dissapointed, but I'm hoping that Beth and Melina really do make this a good match and not like the disasters the last two diva gimmick matches were (the FCA and the 2 out of 3 falls match). Beth will most probably win this, it just seems very unlikely that they would make Beth say "I Quit." It's going to be interesting what kind of new tricks Melina and Beth pull out of their sleeves.

And before I do close up, I have one thing to say about this match, about this whole feud between Melina and Beth.

Will brings up a good point: weapons.

They could use this as a means to give Melina the win, but in a way that still makes Beth look strong. For instance, if Beth is choked nearly to death and gives up, she can still claim that the only way Melina beat her was with a weapon and not with her bare hands.

I'm looking forward to this match...actually, about 10x more than the HHH/Orton match lol. Two of the best Divas (granted, there's only like 4 that are good lol but still) in a gimmick match that isn't something ridiculous like a pillow fight or pudding match or something.

Im looking forward to this match for the simple reason that it will probably be the most technically sound match of the evening. With a ppv loaded with gimmick matches that will involve every weapon imaginable, it will be refreshing to see a match with actual holds in them. Granted it will be an 'extreme' I Quit match, but I just don't see either of them going all out on trying to smash each other with chairs or other foreign objects. I do see them using the ropes or cables and so on on for choking and so on. It will also allow Melina to use some of her more vicious(albeit illegal) submissions holds. This match surpisingly is also one of the best built up of the evening. Good friends now bitter enemies. And im glad they didn't ruin it by having them interfere and each other's matches and continuously fight each other in tag matches for weeks. Instead you had one witness the other's match, and the glaredown insued. I like it. It will be interesting because while Beth is all power and strength, I do give the technical edge to Melina. In the end Beth is probably going to win this match, but I think this match will do a lot for the women's division... if it is given ample ppv time, which of course it probably won't.

I'm very interested by this match for a variety of reasons. Number one is the same as Dragon said, it has a build up. TNA's Knockouts have the highest ratings on the show for two reasons in my opinion. #1 is that they're beautiful women wrestling, which WWE also has. The second and more important reason is there are storylines with the Knockouts. Right now, there are at least two stories going on. Awesome Kong being chased for the title, and Roxxi vs the Beautiful People. They may be basic stories, but often that's all you need. WWE hasn't had a real storyline for the women in years. This is as basic of a story as you can get: Two women were a team, they got in an argument, they're having a match. That's all you need right there. There's a reason this match is happening and it's getting some good build up.

Secondly, it's the classicly done David vs. Goliath. Beth has been built up as a nearly unstoppable monster and Melina could be the one to stop her. It's a great story that's rarely failed to deliever. Like someone earlier said, Beth isn't Chyna, so she's more defeatable, but still a monster nonetheless. The last reason I'm excited about this match is Mickie isn't invovled. That's not a knock on Mickie, but it means that it's possible to have a match without the champion involved, which is a major step for WWE. WWE may have finally started to figure out the diva's division. Two months of good matches in a row? Will it last?

I doubt it.

Well. on the one hand, im not particularly interested in seeing girls do brutal things to each other with weapons. Just a personal preference thing. I like that they are booking the divas strongly, especially these two. Monday seems to indicate that she is doing well as a face. I also like the david and goliath aspect of Lil melina being able to use wepons to slay the giant Beth.

The interesting thing around this match is that it's being built up almost like a submission match, but yet as is being pointed out here...it's essentially just a match to hurt your opponent any way possible.

I honestly think that while the thought of two women beating each other senseless may seem a little barbaric, it's a great idea to book the women stronger. I think maybe WWE may be looking at the fact that women's wrestling on TNA is drawing ratings when the consensus is that T&A sells to WWE's demographics. However, if WWE is booking the ladies differently to bring in other viewers, i'm not going to complain.
Add to that the fact these two are HOT and you've a winning formula. Because let's face it, dominant, attractive women work. that's life.

In the match, I see Melina taking it close, but beth somehow manages to squeeze by, yet Melina looks good in the match. Win by submission

and even thou women running around almost naked is good
it has no place in a wwe ring
i have high hopes for this match and i realy think it will be good
i dont know who's gonna win but im looking forward to it
i think its safe to say that whoever wins is gonna win by placing the
other in a submission so if i have to pick a winner i'd say Melina after
she puts Beth Pheonix in her new submission hold

I am really looking forward to this match.

Finally the WWE has a Diva match which I actually really, really want to watch.

On the one hand, you have Beth Phoenix, a very strong, dominant heel which, if she wins, will become the Diva to beat in the WWE regardless that Mickie James is Champion.

Then on the other hand, you have Melina. Solid in the ring, great character, and a nice face turn this week on RAW. They could have her win this match, which would do a lot for her face turn, BUT, would make Beth look a lot weaker.

I think they should have Beth Phoenix go over in this match, simply because it would enhance her reputation as a dominant Diva. Plus, it could help Melina get some babyface cheers from the crowd.

Then, at the next PPV, Beth vs Mickie for the title in a ladder match. This was rumored for ONS so I see it happening in the near future.

I'm actually looking forward to this match more than Triple H/Orton part 1000.

I'd like to see this match end in a Bret/Austin way where Melina doesn't quit but passes out instead, probably from that submission Beth uses. That would propel Beth further as the dominant diva while it would give Melina a bigger babyface push.

It's nice to see a decent Diva feud again. I haven't seen one since Mickie/Trish or Trish/Lita. Though I can't help but notice that Melina/Beth are overshadowing Mickie's championship reign...

It's a match that could either be really good and surprising, or it could tank. I'm hoping it doesn't and Malenko has been working closely with these girls to make it look good.

I think it's overshadowing because it's a break from Beth vs Mickie. I mean we'd expect that match so this is something different. Gives Mickie a chance to get a break and freshen up for new opponent or the winner of this match

This match should be enjoyable cause In my opionon these are two of wwe best women,s wrestlers,but I should think that it should be Mickie vs Beth vs Melina In a ladder match for the women title but i like i quit matches and it should go a good long 12 min

Really excited to see this match. I'm glad they chose these two for this historic match. I only call it historic because its the first ever I quit womens match. These two are the only ones that can really have this kind of match and make it work. Im also surprised with the amount of time this story has had to develop. It was really only a couple of weeks but it seems to fit here. Really looking forward to this match.

This match should be good but it kind hurts mickie in a way. The champion sits out the pay per view and the match is not even for a 1# contender spot. I would think it would be better if the champ fought beth in this match but melina is not a bad choice. I don't believe she will win but she will definatley get that push. It would look even worse if melina beats beth decisively but mickie couldn't.

Even though I can't stand melina or beth phoenix they are the two of the best divas in the wwe. I love their moves and they are very original! In this match I would love to see melina win cuz I like her more than beth and it would be nice for melina to turn good but than if she faces mickie than it will be face vs. Face and that's not that interesting but melina and mickie always have good matches with each other.

I just cant see Melina having a chance here. I mean after all the building of Beth that they have done to make her a strong monster heel, I cant ever imagine her saying "I quit" in a match. I wish this was a ladder match. I could SO see Melina doing some sick aerial shit in a match like that. You know, Beth might get busted open in this. She bled at WM. This is intriguing, I really have no idea what to expect, besides a Beth victory.

Interesting that they've gone this way with these two imo. Instead of a one on one match we've got an 'I Quit' match which has a history of brutality (except Vince v Steph). As much as i hate to say it, Melina is my pick for this one. The fact that this is not a simple one on one evens the odds somewhat, bcoz Melina wud NOT beat Beth in a singles match. Now that the rules are out the window then Melina has a shot, with the choke holds and weapons etc.

Also, when did Mickie beat Beth decisively? A quick roll up to win the belt and then botched interference from Melina seems to b why Mickie has the belt. Don't recall Mickie actually beating Beth clean.

And.... Women's ladder match? With the WWE divas? I don't think so somehow. I'm not saying they would never do it, i'm saying it wouldn't be a great match. Can you really imagine Mickie jumping off the turnbuckle to splash Beth on the ladder only to wind up eating it? Or Beth smashing Mickie's face in with it and it looking convincing?

My last minute take on this match-up.

This is actually a change in the direction of women's wrestling and how everything is booked. I think that this match could go either way and I am not sure what exactly will happen. Has anyone ever beaten Beth cleanly? I dont recall it. But the rules are out the window in this match-up.

I don't think will be 'extreme' as such, I actually think that the outcome will be decided by sumbission, and one of them says I quit. My prediction is Beth, simply because she is beth.

I think this match is also worth watching. These 2 divas are more than just looks, they can actually put on a match. I don't see Melina pulling a victory over the more firice self proclaimed Glamazon. I think this a back to back best divas ppv match in a row.
