WWF Royal Rumble

Stone Cold Steve Austin becomes the first (and only man to date) to win three Royal Rumble matches, last eliminating Kane. Kane dominates the match, spending 54:49 minutes in the ring, and sets a new record for Most Eliminations in a Single Royal Rumble that still remains unbeaten to this day, with 11 eliminations. Drew Carey also enters the Rumble match. Chris Jericho defeats Chris Benoit for the IC Title in a great Ladder match.

-Mr. McMahon gives up his Wrestlemania title shot that he won at the Royal Rumble, Commissioner Shawn Michaels names Stone Cold Steve Austin as the #1 contender at Mania since Vince gave up his rights and Austin was the last man eliminated, Austin then challenges McMahon to a Steel Cage match at St. Valentines Day Massacre in which if he loses he will give up his shot at WM, McMahon accepts.
-Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett defeat The Big Bossman and Ken Shamrock to win the WWF Tag Team Titles.
-The Rock defeats HHH to retain the WWF Title in an I Quit match. Chyna turns on HHH after the match and joins The Corporation.

On Thunder, Commissioner Kevin Nash strips Sid of the WCW World Title because he did not pin the legal Harris Brother on Nitro (if Sid beat The Harris Brothers, he would get a title shot against Nash, which he did and won), but sets up a title rematch between him and Sid, and Sid defeats him again to win the vacant belt for a second time.
