Arctic Monkeys have announced a series of European festival dates in August this year. A conspicuous window in their diaries around the August Bank Holiday weekend suggest the Sheffield four piece are available to play Reading and Leeds.

So far, the band have confirmed appearances at the Ova Festival in Norway on August 13, Highfield Festival in Germany on August 21 and the Lowlands Festival in Holland on August 23 (effectively ruling them out of an appearance at V). The Reading and Leeds Festival takes place between August 28-30, which the band could now theoretically play.

Arctic Monkeys are still putting the finishing touches to their as yet untitled third album. As previously reported, a number of new songs have been debuted while touring as part of the Australian/New Zealand ‘Big Day Out’ jaunt.
