Hopefully Bree isn't a stupid bitch like Bella, who could possibly be the most unlikeable protagonist in the history of literature. And I don't mean unlikable in the good way. I mean the author wants us to like her but she's whiny, stuck-up, stupid, and a bitch.

No. Meyer let the director and character playing Bree read the book while filming Eclipse so they understood how to play/portray the character.
None of that made the slightest sense to me. But then I've never read any of the books, so that would explain it.
Maybe I'll watch the first movie, just for you Becca. I won't promise I'll like it though.

I don't think it was that bad. It got me interested enough to read the books, and it was different, but at the same time, I do see why some people don't enjoy it.
I may be able to take the middle ground. On one hand I"m a diehard horror fan so I'll probably be pissed about the sparkling vampires, but on the other hand I grew up with Harry Potter and am a bit of a sentimental romantic at heart, so if the story is good enough, they might just hook me. I don't think they will though.

It's all shit. Harry Potter didn't treat you like you were dropped on your head as a kid, and Harry wasn't the worst protagonist since Jane Austen's Emma.
Becca, I'm sorry... but the first Twilight movie was complete and utter dogshit. I know because I never read the books and when the movie ended I said to myself, "Wait... that's it??"
Perfect sign for a disaster of a movie.

But to be fair, the movie was made for teenage girls, not adult males. I enjoyed it.
If Robert Pattenson and Kristin Stewart did not star in it, the movie would've tanked.
It just goes to show, just like in wrestling, sometimes a nice look with absolutely no talent is all you need for succession.
