There have been rumors that WWE is considering doing another old school Raw next year. So would you like to see Old School Raw return in 2011? Do you think Old School Raw will return? What would you change? Who would you like to see return at the old school Raw next year?

I really hope they have another one next year. I honestly didn't think they would put that much effort into the show. Watching the whole show, I felt like it really was the 90's. I liked everything about the show. I think WWE will return it next year. I wish they would go back to that set up every week except with the WWE logo instead of WWF.

Their wouldn't be much I would change, honestly. Overall, I enjoyed the whole show. I probably would have changed the announce team. I would have had The King and Good O'l J.R. call the whole show. I might have added more alumni to the show and gave them more television time.

Next year I would like to see The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Kane with mask, Booker T, Goldberg, and Gillberg. Yes I said Gillberg. I would have loved to see Gillberg face Goldberg and have Goldberg completely squash him. The Rock should have been there and not on a video promo either, he needed to be there in Hershey to cut a promo. I figured Steve Austin would have been there. He must be caught up in making a movie. Shawn Michaels hasn't been on RAW since the night after Wrestlemania and I would like to see him return on old school Raw. Then you have the 5 time 5 time WCW champion. Booker T is one of my all time favorites, would love to see one more spinaroonie.

What would you do?

I loved RAW last night. No doubt, my favorite RAW of the year. The feel to it made me feel like I was 4 again watching RAW and cheering on Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. It was a huge sucess in my opinion. I found very little wrong with yesterday's show.

To be honest, no matter how much I would love to see this, no, I don't think they should do it again at least for a little while. Look at what happened at One Night Stand in 2005. It was an amazing night. So they decided to do it again, and again, and again, and again. It got old and eventually lead to the WWECW which was nothing like the old days. I'm not saying there was anything wrong with occasionally doing these type of shows every once in a while but not every year.

If they did it, it would have to be Raw Is War.

I was thinking bringing in some late 90's talent and going all out like they did last night which means the tron from 99, red ropes, Raw Is War banners and ringskirts, JR and King call the action and the 99 RAW opening. If done like last nights show (Which mixed old and new perfect) i think it could be great. And just because i said Raw Is War they don't have to say loads of swears and bleed all over the show.

Just bring the War to Raw so to speak. Getting Austin to appear would be great and Rock... Well a taped promo would be good enough as long as we get a little bit of Rock. And attitude era marks have been begging for this so it might bring back old fans for one night and might end up being a good draw.

I'd love for the WWE to make this an annual thing. I liked last night's show far more than I thought I would as I thought that the WWE would kind of go into it half-assed. The overall attention to detail with the old school graphics, the ring, the ref uniforms, the old WWF t-shirts, the little promo squares at the top of the screen, the podium used at the top of the show for the first promo segment, even the little bit using Lord Alfred Hayes' voice with the "promotional consideration paid for by the following" bit and other stuff really just kinda blew me away.

The WWE treated last night's show overall as a serious affair and I liked that a lot. They had some of the old school legends do some of their classic stuff, not all of it worked for me, but most of it did. The wrestling action on the show was overall solid even if some of the matches were on the short side. The last 45 minutes or so of the show were solid gold I thought with the Daniel Bryan vs. Jack Swagger match and the Piper's Pit segment. I marked out when Jim Ross came out and I thought Cole was great in his role. He was a world class dick out there and it was perfect. Roddy Piper was the best he's been in a very long time out there. He didn't scream and rant and all that and he was able to pull out tons of legit emotion with his interaction with Cena.

This was head, shoulders, hips & ass above the last 3 hour Raw and I'd love to see this show become an annual tradition. I wouldn't mind if the WWE brought back some of that old stuff we saw last night like the promo podium and the little promo squares. Also, put Gene Okerlund's ass back on the payroll. He did a helluva job last night. Last night showed how well these 3 hour Raws can really be if the WWE decides to treat everything seriously. There are still 2 more 3 hour specials in this year and I hope they're treated with a similar mind set at last night.

I would most definitely be in support of making the Old School RAW concept an annual event, and I wouldn't change very much about it. The show really had a vintage (sorry) feel to it, in terms of audio, video, as well as its participants. I would like to see JR come back to call one match again at next years's OSR, because I have no interest in seeing him back on RAW on a full-time basis. I would try to get more particiapnts from yesteryear on there if possible. If former superstars saw the quality of the show and how well it was received, maybe more of them would be receptive to returning for a tribute show of this nature.

It would be interesting to see if a "RAW is WAR" type of OSR could be put together. I'm not going to go on and on about the PG Era, because truthfully, I have absolutely no problem with it. But it would be interesting if somehow, they could adjust the rating for one show (likely not possible I realize) and re-introduce the language, sexuality, and violence of an Attitude Era RAW. This could either serve as a experiment, a way to see how well an edgier product would be received. Or it could shut up the PG Era opponents once and for all, if the end result ratings wise were no different.

I really enjoyed pretty much the entire program last night. A few things I could have lived without, but for the most part, the show was solid from top to bottom. It goes to show that nostalgia does have it's place in professional wrestling, just in moderation, as opposed to every single Thursday night on Spike TV.

Honestly I loved last nights raw and loved mae young outburst calling laycool ****s and bitches and it was uncut (but side note on their youtube channel they bleeped it out so it was the productions booths fault) anyways the lead up to survivor series was great with pipers pit and orton revealing ways he could win. Also Good Ole J.R. returning to broadcast was totally awesome. But the bad part of the night was to me santino and koslov getting a chance at the tag titles and john morrisons explanation for stopping sheamus because he is a bully. But i would love for this to be yearly with maybe austin, rock, goldberg, sting( if he's done with tna), and many more incuding Ron simmons DAMN!

A treasured memory will only end up being belittled the more it is used. Simply put, Old School Raw was fantastic and I would definitely love to see it again, however, I don't agree with it being an annual event because it will truly lose its touch the moment it airs in 2011. If WWE want the next one to be successful, they need to truly space it out and make it actually be a special night. Much like someone else said, it messed up with One Night Stand as well the classic gimmick matches like making Hell in a Cell into a PPV. If WWE want to do something right, they'll bring this back when the time is right, not annually, there's plenty of other special type of episodes they can do, and the 1000th episode will be lurking up at some point. Keep it fresh and don't over it, that's the key here.

Raw last night was ok. First off i didnt know how far WWE was going back. But i figured it would be 1995-1998. But it was further than that so watevs. The next time WWE has an Old Skool Raw, they need to get stars from 1998-2005.

P.S: What do you think about an Old School Smackdown? O.O :)

only thing i would change is the announce team from cole and king to j.r and the king cause it was awesome to hear jr and king calling a match again and i think the legend's should have more time on air weather it's an interview or having a match i think old school 2010 was awesome cause it reminded me of how i got started watching wrestling and i think old school raw should return every year in november for as long as i shall live and to quote the miz "it was old school and it was AWESOME"

Let me start by saying that back in the day I was a huge Piper fan. I saw some of his first matches here in Los Angeles back in the 70's. To see him and the rest of the old schoolers, it kind of broke my heart as with most, time is not kind to them. I would prefer the occasional cameo but not a whole night devoted to old school, and not this close to a major PPV. What was the point? How much did Vince have to spend to use the old logo's? I mean the "other" WWF took him to court and won, so I'm blown away they are selling merch now.

I mean the "other" WWF took him to court and won

The only reason that the World Wildlife Foundation "won" was because Vince let them win. After going public the change from Federation to Entertainment was made as a business decision. Vince has been trying to distance himself from "wrestling" for years and the court case was his excuse to make the change. The first two letters could not be changed from a brand recognition standpoint so he went and changed the third to give the company more mainstream appeal.

The show last night was awesome and like others have mentioned the attention to detail really is what sold it. I think the podium that Mean Gene cut the Orton interview from was a real upgrade from the backstage promos they cut now days. I think you could lift an idea or two from that show and apply it to their weekly broadcast, greatly improving the product.

What I would honestly love to see them do is do an Attitude Era Raw...have all the guys who were part of the Attitude Era that isn't still in the WWE, or in TNA come back and do a similar style Raw like they did last night, but have JR and King call the show, with the spanish announcers next to them

I think it would be great to see wwe go old school again. They did put a lot of effort as far as the refs, the ring, and just the overall presentation. I hope if they do do this again that it would be somewhere like Madison Square Garden. The Heshey, PA crowd just didn't seem into the legends. MSG is where many of these guys became house hold names. I think a venue like this would give the legends the appreciation they really deserve.

I think everyone would love to see an Attitude Era Raw if it was done right like last night. They could make it a little more edgy but don't have to swear all the time and just make it feel like Raw of the late 90's. And then the guys that are still in the WWE (HHH, Taker, Kane, etc) can come out to their old music and old characters along with bringing The Rock and Austin and others back.

i also loved the old school raw episode. They could have had more legends, but besides that very cool to see the old school ring skirts and RAW tron like the good ole days. But i would of loved to see people like doink, sid, marty janetty, vader, amhed johnson, marc mero, lex luger, mosh, thrasher, new age outlaws basically guys from the early 90's thur 99,and...the godfather come on wat about the hoooo train.but still awesome show

If WWE decides to do this again in 2011, it needs to be the Monday before Wrestlemania. Since it's Hall of Fame week/weekend anyway it would work perfectly. And it would be a nice tie-in/wrapping up storylines going into Wrestlemania.

I agree with what someone else said, that the last 45 minutes was solid gold.

I will be interested in seeing what the rating will come out for last night. I think it might be one of these deals where it appealed to more people on television than it did in person. I thought the reception for JR was really weak. Hacksaw Jim Duggan got a larger response than JR.

I loved the set, graphics, and storylines. I got really excited when I seen the WWF logo all over the place.

What I was originally hoping for after I seen JR was that we all had been duped and that JR was going to return. He kinda acted like he wasn't going anywhere after the match. Also the use of language like when Lawler told Cole to shut the hell up, I wondered then if WWE is testing the waters. We might begin to see a thin-line in the sand being drawn between what's considered PG now.

i would love vince to do an attitude era raw, the way the fans remember it like he did twice for the ecw fans with one night stand ppvs, and if sucsesful make it a once a year thing, 3 things tho
1 no Michael Cole on the show what so ever, have JR and the king on comentery
2 The Rock, Austin, HHH,Undertaker, Kane are a must for the show, they are some big names from that era
3 All the hardcore stuff, the blood, the tables, the wicked chair shots
for 1 night forget the pg rating and go all out, show that the wwe still has got attitude

Yea i agree in some aspects. But i really didn't like the show. Only thing i liked was J.R. and The awesome Fink which for some reason isn't full or part time. For some reason they had the WWF logo but called it WWE although we Know it wasn't WWE back then. If they couldn't say the WWF name they Shouldn't have even used the logo. Every-time it's something old school they tend to have the same legends. Like Piper, Snuka, Brooklyn Brawler, Sheik. Can't they get other people. Sid, Kevin Nash, Papa Shango, Savio Vega, Ultimate Warrior, Bob Backlund, Lex Luger etc?

Sure I would like to see another one. I was really pleasantly surprised when J.R. showed up. I like Mark Henry being Sexual Chocolate again was pretty funny and I even enjoyed his match with Dolph. Though I didn't like how it ended. He dominates kicks out of the Zig Zag only for MH "The World's Strongest Man" to be put out by a sleeper hold. The part bugged me. Also when the Usos had their match with the Hart Dynasty and they brought out Jimmy Snuka (who is a great legend no doubt) but I think it would have been more fitting if they brought out Rikishi instead since he is the father of the actual tag team. Overall a good show though and I enjoyed the ending.

As mentioned a couple of times in this thread, they utilized the WWF logo - however, they did not need the World Wildlife Fund's permission for this or pay them any money. In the final settlement - the WWE was deemed fully entitled to use the what they call now the "Legend" WWF logo likeness at any time, but not the Attitude Era scratch WWF logo - which remains blacked out on all attitude era dvd releases.

i think it was the best week they have had in a long time and the ratings r gnna go very high.

and as much as i liked it, i dont think there should be one next year because its too quick, now what made old school raw so great was bcuz no one has seen the old school wwe in a long time and expecially the legends.... ects. and if we watched it for the third time it will be boring, just like the wwe has done with anniversarys, we r gnna get used to old school.

RAW was amazing last night...I got chills and got giddy when it started with the old school opening video, I thought it was even cooler putting the NEW videos in it. One problem I had with it...it seemed to focus on the late 80's early 90's. Most if not all the wrestlers and talent featured were from that time period.

I would've loved for them to redo ALL the opening videos or show some nostalgic videos from back in the day. 3 hours and all we got were matches and storyline setups. It sucked that it was the go home show for Survivor Series.

Id love to see WWE do this again, I dont know about next year. If they do it again, Id love for them to focus on the early Attitude days and redo the opening to RAW IS WAR where they look like they're walking through a warehouse, explosions going on in back, and all wrestlers start fighting in the ring.

I would love the WWE to do this again I enjoyed it alot. I almost forgot what JR's voice sounded like and it was good to hear it again but Michael Cole was being an asshole. But it was a pleasure to see alot of people and Ron Simmons coming out sayin DAMN was hilarious because I forgot all about him. Then Mae Young called Laycool ****s and bitches I wasn't expecting that. But what would have really made my day would have been to see Ricky Steamboat do another match. You have to admit that out of all the older people that try to wrestle still Ricky Steamboat is the only one you would probably enjoy really wrestling. I know he is for me. But it would have been nice to see Sgt. Slaughter win against Albert Del Rio that would be an upset. Then Roddy Pipper doing a good promo with John Cena was great. He would make a good manager and I would really enjoy him doin more mic work. Every thing was great we heard the million dollar man do his laugh we saw mae young, we saw Jimmy Snuka, we saw Roddy Piper. Im all for another Raw like this.

I agree with eveybody esle that they should do another Old Skool RAW but this time RAW from the last 90s and early 00s....The Atttude Era. I'm sure for 1 show only they can have it be TV-14 so they can do what they did in the Attitude Era. And for that night they should try and get everybody who contributed greatly to the Attitude Era.

Guys like Austin, Rock, HHH, Taker, Kane, ect...bring back old stables like Nation of Domination, DX, Ministry of Darkness and the Corporaion. Also have guys like Gillberg, Thrasher, Savio Vega, just new legend and not the same old legends they have every special show like this.

Maybe I am the minority here but I was completely not happy with Raw.

They went back to 1995 and before. Bleh.

Maybe I was expecting more out of this but it is 2010 now... old school Raw to me is 1996 - 2000. And I know everyone says it all the time but I wanted Old School Attitude Era... not old school Jimmy Snuka and Ted DiBiase. We already see them all the time anyway.

The only thing I liked about last night was the return of JR and that match made me feel nostalgic again. It was great. But the rest of the show was lame.

Yes I respect these guys for what they have done, but go away already. They are "too old" to come back and do a show. Give me people who can actually wrestle that are still considered "old school" by todays standards.

Give me Austin, and The Rock. How about Ken Shamrock vs Steve Blackman. Some Shane o' Mac with the Mean Street Posse... Al Snow and Head... Maybe some new age outlaws (Since they are not with TNA anymore)...

1998-1999 WWF Forever
