According to reports.. this weeks voting is not for next thursday, but the following week. If you're a fan of spoilers you can go check out the spoilers for this weeks Impact! to realize why that is.
Ok on that note, lets look at the standing for the 3rd title defense.
From top to bottom:
Matt Morgan- Dominating the field with almost 40% of the vote. (71,000 V's)
Desmond Wolfe- Week I winner and currently in 2nd with 34%
MRRRRR. Anderson- 10%
Jeff Hardy- 5%
Rob Terry- 4%
Sting- 2%
The following part of the field all have 1% or below.
Rhino- 2,300 Votes
The Pope- 2,200 votes
Kurt Angle- 2,000 Votes
AJ Styles- 1,350 Votes
Hernandez- 1,285 Votes
Double J- 1,250 Votes
Brother Devon- 1,000 Votes
Abyss- 850 votes
Brother Ray- 750 Votes
My Thoughts:
The first thing that jumps off the page at me is that same thing that did week one. Abyss who arguably got the biggest push (even though it came off horrible and generic looking) is behind Brother Devon right now. Thoughts on Abyss fellow users?
Matt Morgan with a comfortable lead: He's about 11,000 votes ahead of Wolfe right now, and I don't see Wolfe making that up within the next week. Thoughts on Matt Morgan/RVD TNA Impact! Main event?
The Pope: What's the bigger beat down.. The one Mr. Anderson just put on you, or the fact the TNA audience doesn't think you're as pimpin' as TNA management. Thoughts on the Pope's low numbers?
Hernandez: What in the world is Hernandez doing on this poll? You are trying to sell a serious injury sustained just weeks ago, yet he could be back next week to challenge the champion.
Rhino: Maybe the biggest shock on this list outside Abyss' numbers. We haven't seen Rhino for months and yet TNA considers him a top 15 guy. Not to mention he's beating out bigger names in the Pope, Abyss, and Jarrett. Thoughts on the War Machine name getting brought up?
Now to my biggest thought on the rankings. I think when looking at this angle we are going to see 50/50 of users on here that either love the idea, or don't understand the point of it.
Which side do you consider yourself on?
A- You think it's great that they are allowing the fans to determine the rankings system.
B- You're a part of the people who don't understand why this weekly because you think it's got no credibility. When introducing the concept you most likely didn't expect Wolfe to get the shot right away, yet lose in a lackluster match on Impact where nobody expected RVD to lose.
A or B?
