I've never watched X files but I need to. I've heard good things about it.

God Damn man, you've seriously never seen even one episode of the X Files? You've seriously missed out, I highly recommend it. Its like CSI meets Supernatural.

Sadly enough no. I got hooked on a show called so weird back in the late 90s and supernatural seemed like a more adult version of that.

I used to find x-files very boring....... not so great IMO. I know alot of people liked it though.
