Official: Randy Orton Busts the shit outta his collarbone thread

Mighty NorCal

SHALL WE BEGIN?
Well for anyone who didnt see ONS, Orton took a nasty fall over the top rope, and broke his left collarbone. Fairly nasty buisness. I cant remember, but I think an injury such as this generally keeps one out for 8 to 10 weeks.

I say thank goodness. Not that im happy that he is hurt, becuase thats rather unfortunate for him. Thank goodness that we dont have to see Orton Vs Triple H over over at every PPV for the rest of our lives. Sucky thing is, that RAW's other two top heels are about as good to them as a remote with dead batteries, as Regal is suspended, and JBL succumbed to the Chain Gang. So im not sure were they go from here with Trips and his reigh. All the RAW heels officially got shitted on last night LOL. Were will they go, and what will they do???

Ouch not another injury. While I am glad the Orton/HHH feud is over, I feel sorry for Randy Orton. He really established himself over the last few months as a true main eventer. He is a great heel no doubt about it. I hope he isn't out too long and I expect him to be back around Unforgiven(September).

We all knew he was taking time off but I didn't want the guy to get fricken injured. On the bright side, at least he got injured after, what I thought was a very successful reign as WWE champion.

I saw the injury...not a nice looking bump over the top and he was genuinely totalled. However, he wanted some time off so I thought it was a work until I saw the large swelling on his collar bone. I think they'll give him a few months to recover, rather than rush him back like they did with candice. I would say Edge coming to Raw would solve it, but that would lead to him being buried which wouldn't be good, but that would leave SD without a top heel.
Personally, I'd like them to bring in Finlay for a few weeks, because he could work as a short term feud to get back at Vince for before WM by attacking his top guy. Just a theory

I still cant believe some of the fans were booing him at the end of the matchup. The guy goes out and performs and puts on a great show then he gets tossed over the ropes and lands wrong and breaks his collar bone. Hope he has a speedy recovery and comes back because he is one of the better heels right now IMO

Nasty bump out back, and i also thought it was a work until he didnt even attempt to get up on the second count out. I dunno what WWE is going to do now except probably turn Trips heel and have one of the faces (PRAY ITS NOT CENA!!!!) battle him. But i dunno, one thing that did impress me was that Orton while leaving was still acting like Orton, and mad props for that

The funny thing about him getting injured was i first read Nicks review and he was saying how Randy stayed in character when the fans cheered him and thought that was very good and gave him some respect. But now i get home and watched when he was leaving after the match and have come to the conclusion that he wasnt acting in character he just really wanted to smack the person, and if i heard right told him to fuck himself or something along that line.
Cant really blame him.

I'm gutted about this actually. I've really began to love Randy Ortion. He was a great champion in placement of Cena, and deserved to keep it in my opinion. But I love his matches. He's a great wrestler; one that will definately go down in history. And he i so original. He breathes life into some matches. I mean, we've seen HHH Vs Orton like 1000 times, yet still I love it. And I think that's because of Orton.

He is obviously not going to be wrestling for a while; but who is to say he has to be out of the business while he recovers.
With the talk of a new stable forming, why can't Orton be a manager until he recovers?

I think he couldn't be a successful manager for that rumoured young stars stable... he's not awful in the mic, but I don't see him capable of making a crowd hate him and his boys by just talking... like JBL for example, who can make a crowd go against him in just a couple of minutes, he is just so annoying... Orton is more of an action guy, so his in ring work speaks for him... but that's my opinion...

It's really a shame that Orton resulted injured, as I think he will lose a lot of momentum during his absence, and right now he was by far the top heel on Raw... on the other hand, this might have a benefit for him, because I think after his feud with H, he would be going down to midcard for a while...

Now the big question for the next monts on Raw main event would be... Face Cena vs Heel Trips? or Face H vs Heel JBL??? With night of champions in the coming weeks, you should expect Cena to be the #1 contender, Vince won't let him out of any PPV... So I'm expecting H to get the spot as Raw's top heel (he loves to be there, so I see it possible), and we will get Cena-H matches on every PPV from here till survivor series at least...

Well I watched One Night Stand last night. I can tell you that Randy took a nast fall. You could hear Randy say to the ref that it was his collarbone. This really sucks for both Randy and the WWE. At least now Randy will get his time off to see his kid being born.

Im really scared though because this sets up a perfect situation for Randy to come back and challenge Triple H again. We all know that doesnt need to happen any time soon. I just hope Randy makes a speedy and healthy recovery.

This is unfortunate, one of the only two top heels just got injured(Edge being the other top heel). After the match you can tell that he was pissed off at the fans for cheering for him, turning face is the last thing he needs right now, and the fans might have put thoughts in Vince's head. If he did turn face, he would be fighting for one of the top face spots against the likes of Cena, HHH, HBK, Batista, Mysterio, Jericho, and Taker, whereas if he stayed heel, he knows that he would remain a top star since heels are very rare these days. Hopefully, this injury isn't too serious and he will be back for SummerSlam, we will find out soon enough if it is really bad or not.

WWE needs to start changing a couple of Main Eventers heel(HHH and Batista would be the best choices IMO) because I am sick of this Face vs Face mentality that the WWE has had for the last year now. With Orton gone, there is only Edge and JBL(not so much) that are credible Main Event heels, that's just pathetic. I always say that Faces makes the company money(merchandise and tickets sold), heels bring in the ratings(people usually watch more to see if their least favorite wrestler is going to lose the title), which one is WWE lacking?

The first thing I will say is this is definately horrible for business. Randy Orton may not of been making a lot of fans happy by constantly facing Triple H., but now he's gone for a few monthes to say the least. I wouldn't expect him back until around Survivor Series, to be honest.

Although, the hidden storyline thats gonna suck is.. when Orton does return, what are the 9 outta 10 chance odds that he'll return into yet another storyline against Triple H., looking for revenge? The original theory was his storyline w/ H.H.H. was set to end at One Night Stand. Well, it damn sure can't end now.. short of Orton being drafted, which I still hope happens.

The "irony" if you can call it that, may put Randy Orton back into action before No Mercy, which would set up a Triple H. v. Randy Orton match at No Mercy, and complete a "year long feud."

Overall, I was never a HUGE Randy Orton fan but I enjoyed watching him. And hes had a great deal of issues with injuries, especially to his upper body and arms. At this rate, I suggest Orton will remain in the business for possibly 5-6 more years, barring no more injuries then be forced to retire if he wants to remain even slightly healthy.

Jeez I feel bad for the guy, and not just because I'm a fan of his. I mean really he was due to take time off apparently due to the fact that his first child was being born. I was really excited for him, and I still am. However... This injury probably dampens that for him a little bit. The injury, though sucks could not come at a better time. I mean we all know how much these guys are on the road as opposed to being with their families. Well for Orton, he'll at least have a while t be with his wife and kid. Right now I'm reading that he should be back in about 3 months or so. Thankfully he did not need surgery. Now what happens when he returns?

I see two possible scenarios...
1.) He comes back to Raw. Cena or somebody other than HHH has the belt. Now we will have HHH vs Orton yet again with Orton this time being out for revenge as opposed to HHH. I really hope this doesn't happen, but we all know that when a guy puts another out of action... He comes back, face or heel looking for vengance.

Scenario 2.) Orton gets drafted to Smackdown and looses all contact with HHH on air. From that point we may finally get to see Edge vs Orton for the title since that story unfortunatly never really culminated.

For WWE this injury sucks big time. That's the problem with having just one big heel on each show... What happens if one gets hurt? Now you have face vs face matches unless HHH goes heel or Cena, Hardy or someone else does. Face vs Face matches IMO don't sell and are no where near as good (espiecally the promos) as face vs heel.

Too bad about Orton. I like him and think he's a great talent. One thing he has going for him is that he's young. He should be able to recover fully and quickly.

Problem is, as mentioned earlier in this post, when he does return, he will probably want to get back at HHH, and this whole closed circle will start over again.

If they did bring Edge to Raw, he'd probably get buried, but maybe not. Bring him to Raw, and let him keep his current title for awhile. He could fued with the Game, and then maybe have a title VS title match. The titles could be split again latet. It would leave Smackdown with no title though, which is a problem. If Edge comes without the title, he'll be buried.

We really need more heels 'round these parts. I think HHH should stay face, though. He's getting freakin' Austin like pops at this point. Turn Batista and/or Cena heel.

I could even deal with Michaels VS HHH again, only have Shawn the heel this time. He starts a stable with Batista and maybe one or two young guys, and they could put HHH through hell.

Back to Orton. There's really not much to say, except I hope he does okay and comes back soon. Sometimes, I think it's good for a young guy to suffer an injury. I feel it gives them more respect for the business, and also builds character. With the personal problems Orton has had in the past, maybe fighting back from being hurt is a good thing for him.

Best to Orton.

Damn!

This sucks but what can you do. It's even sader when watching ONS and expecially the promo with Orton and Batista that they could have some point reunite. But now, as unrealistick it seemed, it has no change on happening. And looking back at Monday raw, it seems like they are going with face vs. face for the title. I don't like that.

It's not fair that he got injured but, like they say in Wrestling anything can happen.I hope Randy Orton makes a quick recovery and is back in time for either the Great American Bash or Summerslam(Is the biggest Pay Per View of the Summer).Furthermore,I hope they don't turn him face because he makes a great heel and he can feud with a lot of people still Triple H,Cena,Shawn Micheals,Jericho, and Jeff Hardy.I sure hope they put Jeff Hardy in the WWE title hunt because since he returned from his suspension he made a great improvement wrestling in the ring but, he still needs better mic skills.Triple H vs Jeff Hardy that's the match I want to see!!!It should have happened at The Night of Champions it would have made a great match not Triple H vs Cena lll(3).Hell, I would rather see Randy Orton win the title and face Jeff Hardy.

The Randy Orton promo last night on the June 23rd (I believe) Monday Night Raw was awesome. He says he will be back sooner than anyone thinks. He says he will come after the title and what not. With Batista on RAW it looks like the two could team up to reform a version of Evoloution thus Batista getting over massively due to the fact that Orton is the top heel in the buisness. I feel that Raw has really missed Orton as of late and unlike some others I pray that he isn't drafted. Randy Ortons character is bad ass... he would become too watered down on Smackdown, he wouldn't fit the mould of the show at all. I can't wait to see how they bring him back and I really don't mind who they put him with he usually comes out shining.

Randy Orton is the top heel WWE has at there disposal and he has gotten over on his own... he didn't need La Familia like Edge.
