So, how would the people on the forums rank the rookies so far on the show? Make sure to give reasons for your rankings and not to spam. That is about as far as I can elaborate, so here we go.
Sign Guy's Rookie Rankings: Through Week 4
1. Alex Riley: A-Ri, to me, is the total package. He has some of the best mic work in the E at this point, which is saying alot with him being where he is. I haven't seen a bunch of his in-ring work, but it is good from what I have seen, and I've heard good things from his FCW time. He has the look about him, which helps his case alot. He is my number one, easily.
2. Michael McGillicutty: I like his attitude. He has, as he so kindly puts it, ruthless agression. You know, that thing Cena had. Of course that didn't work out at all for him. Anyway, Hennig (as I'll refer to him) seems pretty good in the ring, has a good look to him, and a great finisher. He has the right (kayfabe) attitude to make it in the WWE. Let's go Hennig!
3. Husky Harris: I am going to get so much heat for this, but I realy don't care. Husky is good. He has a good in-ring style that works for him and can let him produce decent matches. That is all you can really ask of some people. His look might not be the greatest, but Vince must not care because he is in the WWE to begin with. He has the right attitude and his character works for me. And I love how they are building him to be his own character, seperate from his family. That is how it should be done with some people, and it works for Husky.
T-4. Percy Watson: "Showtime" is here for his abilty to connect with the fans. He is entertaining, he is funny, he is exciting, and in all the right ways. He has decent enough ring skills to make it in WWE. But even though he might make it in WWE, I seriously doubt that he'll be a "breakout" star. Anything is possible, but this is tough for him, which is what keeps him down. I don't see him winning this thing, but hopefully he sticks around. I like him.
T-4. Kaval: He is this low for two reasons: One in the fact that his pros are holding him back. Lay-Cool would be fine with anyone else, but he isn't the type of character that should be with Lay-Cool. I understand that the thing here is to put some of these guys out of their element, but this is more than out of the element, it is wrongful character building. This leads to my second point, his character is being built wrong. He shouldn't talk. He shouldn't be fan-friendly. I'm not saying he shouldn't be a face. He could play either way, but he should be the kind of guy who intimidates you, scares you, doesn't explain himself, attacks, makes an impression, and leaves. Kind of like a cruiserweight Goldberg. This is how I see a character like his. Even if he does talk (that is my personal preference), this is how I think a character as his should be built.
5/6. Eli Cottonwood: He has a slimmer of hope. He could be one of those mysterious, creepy, vicious big men, like Kane or Undertaker. Other than that, he has nothing other than being big. He'll take much work to be succesful in the character I mentioned anyway.
6/7. Lucky Cannon: Wow. Horrible. Bland. Cookie-Cutter. Boring. Average at best yet boring in the ring. Eliminate him now.
And, as a side note, Titus should be on the show. If there were no eliminations as planned, he would be in-between Kaval and Cottonwood.
