[Official]New Jersey Thread

Oh of course! And besides in the end I could care less about the importance of Rhode Island. I mean Philly is a pretty important city, but I still think it's a total dump LOL.

Oh great, now we get to wait for somebody to lecture and rant on about how important Philly is too the country

I'm not denying it's significance in history... Besides this thread's not for the state that contributed most to shaping or creating the nation... I'm still waiting for my question to be fully answered. So far I got that there's a tennis museum, and a festival... Is that it?

No, the Tennis HALL OF FAME. So Cooperstown and Canton don't have anything there either right? Tennis is one of the most popular sports on the planet.

And a "festival"? You obviously know absolutely nothing about the history of rock and roll. Because the Newport Folk/Jazz Festival was the most important festival in the US for a long time. Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, John Coltrane, Joan Baez, Billie Holliday, the list goes on and on. So congratulations you guys not only don't know your history very well, you also don't know your music history very well either.

And for extra "Boo-Ya Beeyatch!", RI is where Family Guy was created.

And what the fuck does New Jersey have? Atlantic City? The turnpike? The Nets?

Yeah, who the hell would want to live in Rhode Island?

What a DUMP, huh?

And to end my wonderful post of Jersey-hating, I have discovered a fun website that pretty much sums up my point.

JerseySucks.net

Atleast Rhode Island doesn't suck so bad that it has it's own collectible shirt for sucking.

Aaaaand.......BUUURRRRRRNNNNNNN.

Dude, you don't get it. I don't care what they think, I care what I think.

I think New Jersey is the best place in the entire world. :) Well, scratch that, I love Dubai more. ;)

As I said... a Tennis museum and a festival... Don't care too much for the importance of either. Jeez that pic looks a lot like coastal New Jersey... Instead of grass there's sand though... Anywho... your wrong about the whole Rhode Island doesn't have it's own T-shirt for sucking.
look a t-shirt Just type in Rhode Island sucks in google and you'll find at least 10 sites :) Have fun and uh... burrrn?

It's not exactly a burn when you reply with the exact same thing that I did.

Go look up the Burn rules damnit!

And BTW, for all of your claims that RI doesn't have "anything"' (despite me listing an exhaustive list of landmarks & cultural PHENOMENONS) you've yet to give me one thing that New Jersey has. Casinos? So does RI. One of the most polluted states in the US? Yep, that's wonderful NJ.

So tell me, where in New Jersey was the course of rock and roll forever changed, as Dylan's decision to go electric at the Folk Festival in 65 did?

If you're going to hate on RI, don't expect me to sit back and not hate right back on NJ.

I marked out when we were talking about the Newport Folk Festival Mr. Eko today. We were talking about Bob Dylan's controversy.

It truly was one of the most important steps in the evolution of Rock and Roll.

But fuck, they have Atlantic City, how can we compare with that?!

We also have one of, it not the biggest theme park in the country... Not to mention the fact that though a lot of NJ is polluted I.E.: Northern NJ by New York, the South, outside of Camden is really nice

We now go to the Meadowlands.......I love saying that name. Anyone from Jersey ever been to the Meadowlands?

Ya been there... Disgusting place really... Northern NJ around NYC is really nasty... Go up in the hills and it's reallly nice go figure, but ya I've been there... Smells like a swamp... Cause it is a swamp...

really? I thought it was cool seeing as how all the football announcers hype it up I mean really hype it up everytime they go there. Plus its a cool fucking name.

Don't get me wrong, it is cool, I mean how many sports complexes are dead in the middle of a giant swamp? As I said though it does reek cause of that.
