[Official] Bar Room sports thread

Kobe gets his due credit. I really like both guys.

But these have been great playoffs for the NBA. A lot of close and down to the wire affairs. Can't get better than that.

I am a WITNESS.

See, see, see. This is why I hate Lebron so much. He made one fucking lucky shot ( second in his career) and he is automatically fucking god. WTF. This just goes to shows Lebron James is the most loved person in the NBA. See if Kobe did that or even Melo it would be " Oh no, what a holo, it was just a lucky shot" but as soon as Lebron hits it it's like Jesus came back to life. Anyways Lakers choked, Magic wil win in 6, I am predicting Lakers in 6 as well.

Whoa...now we all know how many big shots Kobe's hit in his career. A LOT. That's the answer to that. Now, Lebron is still in that status between being an MVP and an icon, but that shot tonight, in that situation, would have went either way. Was it a lucky shot? Damn right it was. 1 second left, he basically throws a solid prayer toward the rim and it gets answered. But the fact is, Bron is the catalyst for the Cavaliers. Without Kobe, the Lakers MIGHT be a solid playoff team. Without Bron, Cleveland's in the cellar of the Eastern Conference. And you also have to factor that Melo and Kobe aren't too 'kid friendly' with Kobe's infidelity and Melo's run ins with the law. Bron is clean as they get. That's why the NBA wants to shine the light on HIM and no one else. Because King James is squeaky clean. Until he starts rolling with Jay-Z. Then it's 'Oh snap.'

I'm still depressed. That was a great shot by LeBron though, have to give him that. But I like my Magic men's chances of winning the series after the Cleveland games. Before I thought they could win the series, now I think they will win the series. They have to stop digging themselves a big hole so early in games. The Magic just have to win at home and the series is won. Game 3 on Sunday.

The Magic are better on the road. I think Cleveland wins at least one, probably two in Orlando. If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that Orlanda doesn't protect their home court. I think it has a lot to do with uneducated basketball fans that panic to easily and don't do a very good job of supporting their team.

If I'm the Cavs I'm scared to death. Sure they won but they blew a 23 point lead and if not for a miracle they're down 0-2. Not a lot to brag abouth.

Anyone else watchin the Nuggets-Lakers game? Excellent game, I'm loving the physicality that's going on now.

The longer this series goes on, the chippier it's going to get. Let's hope for 7 games, I love watching these two teams play.

Lebron could have gotten right up into the face of whoever was guarding him last night and poked him in the chest a couple times after his shot and there wouldn't be a technical. :)

Shit and then smacked him across the back of the head, Kobe could have done the same.

Fuck these refs are just taking the game over. If David Stern wants to infuse excitement into the NBA, then tell the refs to let the players fucking play instead of calling a foul when someone places a finger on someone else.
