NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III: NXT Tag Team Championship - AOP (c) VS SAnitY

It was officially announced on tonight's NXT episode that the Authors of Pain will defend the NXT Tag Team Championship against SAnitY members Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain in Brooklyn.

This is one of those strange tag team matches that pop up in NXT from time to time because, overall, the tag team picture has always been the weak spot of NXT. Aside from SAnitY and Heavy Machinery, the only significant team in NXT is TM-61 and we haven't seen them since early this year due to Shane Thorne suffering a knee injury that's kept him out the entire year so far.

It could still be an entertaining match, albeit a throwaway match most likely, with the Authors of Pain retaining.

Entertaining match and the result helped a lot. It was totally logical as Authors Of Pain have defeated everyone in the tag team scene except SAnitY. The post-match attack by reDragon was an icing on the cake. The tag division could benefit a lot from reDragon. Once TM61 returns and you also have Heavy Machinery. It could look very deep then.

Side note, SAnitY is too good and even better is Nikki Cross.
