This is the homepage of the NWL official website. Since I cannot update the first page of this thread, I will simply use new posts in order to keep all the information up to date.

What you need to know:

The WWE went bankrupt blah blah blah. The typical sob story of every Book This thread ever made. Anyways, Vince McMahon is going to take a different approach with his company in order to appeal to a relevant audience. He will adopt the tried and tested formula of the season and playoff format of the NFL to his current roster. He trimmed the fat off of his roster and split up 28 men into two conferences (Raw & Smackdown) and four divisions (A,B,C,D). Only 12 men will make it to the playoffs and compete for a chance to wrestle at the WrestleBowl.

Jim Ross will be the sole season analyst as he will be given small five minute segments to cover the weeks on ESPN.com

*** This will be a simulated wrestling federation. Meaning that there will be no detailed matches, but only results. I love to do things like this, and I thought I might as well post it here for people to get a kick out of it. Just to clarify, I am not pre-determining any winners. Everything will be random and anyone could have a chance to win any round.

I will keep a record of win and losses and plan on posting at least two simulated rounds a week. Depending on my free time I could post a lot more.

Furthermore, this will be a trial run for the first season and I will make roster changes and league changes if I feel that I need to for the second season. Finally, you have to remember that I can only make changes that you want if you speak up. So feel free to post here if you have any questions or suggestions. Thank you!

The 3 Tier System:

I will be operating this simulation under the three tier system that I developed. The three tiers are this: Main-Event, Upper-Card, and Lower-Mid. This means that Main-Event talent will have a slight advantage in the simulation over Upper and Lower level talent. Two talents on the same tier level will be even. Think of it as a coin flip. You have Main-Event vs. Upper-Card. Main-Event only needs one coin flip in his favor to win. Upper-Card will need two. Get it?

Here are tier levels for the roster this first season.

2. Randy Orton

With three weeks of the season over, NWL.com would like to take an opportunity to ask the NWL audience how they feel about the overall product. Feel free to respond here with any comments that you have.

I love this idea! I've been racking my brain for almost a year trying to make a similar idea work with an indy company in real life, but using WWE takes it up a notch. I completely understand simulating matches, as typing 30 some odd matches a week would be murder, but I just wish there was some way to get more into it. Without story lines, and since it lacks the pride and fanfare of a local team or market, I'm not too sure how entertaining it'll be.

With one half of the season over, NWL.com is wanting to know who you think will make the biggest comeback? Also, feel free to leave predictions for who think will ultimately win their respective divisions.

I say Heath Slater turns things around second half, But not enough to win it all sadly. I still got faith in the one man baaaaaaaaaaand baby!

Kermit, How do you decide on winners for this?

Man, that would be a massive comeback. I would love to see it though. Haha.

All of the winners are decided randomly, but you would be shocked how often patterns occur even when you do things randomly. I ran a 2 season simulated WZCW federation and saw a lot of winning streaks happen.

However, there is a little bit of method to the madness. All of the talent is separated into three levels: main-event, upper-card, lower-mid. The main-event talent has an advantage on upper and lower, and upper has an advantage on lower.

Think of it like this: A level 2 talent faces off against a level 3 talent. I flip a coin (actually I use a random number generator) to decide the winner. If the coin lands in favor of the level 2, the level 3 will get another shot because he is a higher level. However, if the level 3 had won it on the first try then he would of won it all together.
