I used to be a big deal
Wrestlers Name: Koala Typhoon
Wrestlers Nickname: “The Bear”
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 255 lbs
Hometown: Montreal, Quebec
Billed From: Red Deer, Alberta

Appearance:
----------- Hair color/length: Short brown hair, the front is usually spiked up.
----------- Eye color: Brown eyes
----------- Facial Hair: Clean shaven, other than the occasional 5-o’clock shadow.
----------- Ring Attire: He wears short, navy blue wrestling trunks with a red vertical trim going down the side and his initials, “K.T.” written along the top of his right butt-cheek. Blue knee pads with a similar red trim, black and blue wrestling boots. Ties around his biceps and wrist bands with of the same design. He comes out to the ring wearing a robe with no sleeves, usually either blue or red with the trim of the other color, again vertical, similar, to his wrestling trunks and pads. The back of the robe will read “Koala Typhoon” and his team name “ Northern Lights“ underneath in fancy lettering. On the front, left hand side, his initials are written “K.T”, as well as the team name “ Northern Lights“ once again right over his initials.

-----------Backstage Attire:
Unless heading to the ring, in which case he has his trunks and robe on, Koala will normally dress fairly snazzy. Dress shirt and dress pants at the very least, occasionally will wear a blazer.

-----------Physical Features: Fairly well built all around, a handsome man, fairly tanned for a Canadian, but nothing out of the ordinary.

-----------Tattoos: none.

Gimmick:
An inherently good and tame individual that has a BAD mean streak if rubbed the wrong way, do something to get him angry.

Strength: Good technical skills in the ring (including chain wrestling and a vast array of suplexes that he uses), power wrestling (well built, strong man), works well in a team.

Weakness: Short temper (could lead to DQs if he can’t control himself), not used to wrestling as a singles competitor (teamed most of his lift), plays into mind games fairly easily.

Alignment: Face

Brief History: Although born in Chicago, Koala moved to Red Deer, Alberta, Canada as a young child with his family, following a father that was looking for work. He has since embraced the Canadian heritage that brought him up and considers himself completely Canadian. At school, kids would pick on Koala because of his unusual name and the fact that he wasn’t actually Canadian, on top of the fact that he was taller and better build than most of the other kids, naturally, and would often be pushed into fights with other kids (fights that he would normally win, and be suspended for consequently). However once he left grade school and started high school, he met someone that would turn out to be his best friend and tag team partner to this date.

One day, while being picked on (nothing unusual), Koala was getting ready to whale on a punk bully, another kid his age approached him and convinced him to take the high road. That kid’s name was Windy Bridges and comes into WZCW as Koala’s tag team partner. They got through high school together, and Koala managed to stay out of trouble, when Windy was at his side at the very least.

When Koala turned 18, his family decided they missed Chicago, the big city, and moved back. However, Koala stayed behind, having grown accustom to living in Canada. He and Windy moved to Calgary to train under Stu Hart and the Hart family, while working in Calgary and wrestling the Western Canadian wrestling circuit to make ends meet.

Now relative veterans of tag team wrestling in Canada, Windy and Koala have decided to take their team, Northern Lights, to bigger things, namely the emerging promotion, WZCW, to add a little flare to the tag team division and make a name for themselves.

Title History: Several tag team championship belts on the Canadian circuit, but nothing major.

Entrance Music: “Animals” by Nickelback

Entrance description: A dim blue light takes over the arena as the roar of a bear, followed by the cry of an eagle screams over the arena. Suddenly, “Animals” by Nickelback hits and the lights flicker between the existent blue haze and a bright red light. Out of the back, Koala Typhoon and Windy Bridges, “Northern Lights” appear, full of energy, and jog down to the ring, slapping hands with fans on their way down. Once they just about hit the ring, Koala takes a left, and Windy takes a right, slapping hands with fans on their way around the ring, meeting on the other side. They slap hands before Windy slides into the ring and Koala grabs the second rope, lifts himself up to the apron and enters the ring. Both jump up on opposing second turnbuckles and pose for the fans as the regular lights come back on and the team waits of their opponents.

Finishers: Call of the Wild (tag team finisher – Koala lifts his opponent up into a powerbomb position facing away from the top rope. Windy jumps up to the top rope and as Koala drops his opponent to the mat, Windy jumps off and lands mid-air, sideways onto opponent’s chest as their falling to the mat and pins them – so a powerbomb/top-rope cross body pin combination)

CanadaDrop (Like Finlay’s Celtic Cross only Koala releases his opponents leg from the hold mid-drop.)

Brief History: A good old Canadian boy from a good Canadian family in Red Deer, Alberta. His father was a member of parliament in the Alberta House of Commons and although Calgary wasn’t that far away, he was away from home a lot. Although Windy had an older brother that took care of the family, Windy always felt overly protective of his mother and siblings.

In high school, Windy was basically a loner, not really interested in making friends, not really interested in anything really, until this freshman, one year younger than him caught his eye. A strong lad, real innocent looking, being picked on by other kids but always getting his way because he was physically bigger. Windy befriended that kid, who went by the name Koala Typhoon, and they became the best of friends. By the time high school was done, Windy had essentially replaced his family with Koala, and looked on to him kind of like a father figure, despite only being a year older.

At 18 years old, Koala was left alone, his family having moved to the states, and Windy’s father wanted nothing to do with Koala, having recently retired, and understandably wanting some time to himself to enjoy his retirement. So they moved to Calgary and decided to enroll in a wrestling school, under the tutelage of the late, great, Stu Hart and his family, and run the circuit and working odd jobs on the side.

Now relative veterans of tag team wrestling in Canada, Windy and Koala have decided to take their team, Northern Lights, to bigger things, namely the emerging promotion, WZCW, to add a little flare to the tag team division and make a name for themselves.

The Big Sleep (Windy runs towards his opponent, hooks his arm around his neck in a sleeperhold and drags him to the mat in a slam/drop type maneuver – see Flash Funk and Chris Jericho. This move can also be hit from the top rope and Windy often uses that option.)
