Formally announced by TNA tonight.

Let's keep all discussion here.

The I quit aspect is the only thing that makes this match remotely interesting, in terms of predicting who will win.

Tommy Dreamer doesnt win matches. He lose extreme rules matches, regular matches, submission matches, and retirement matches. Tommy has been booked for years as enhanement, for putting people over. And hes done a great job at it. But other then his token win at Extreme Rules 09, he simply doesnt win.

I think the key here is the way Tommy is portrayed. Tommys portrayed as the never say die warrior who bleeds and keeps coming back for more. Its hard to imagine Tommy uttering the words "i quit". AJ, on the other hand, has done a great job of playing the chickenshit heel known for hit and runs since Fortune has begun. I could easily seeing him quit if he gets busted open too badly.

The other key is the credibility of EV2. If they plan on extending the angle for any amount of time, they need credibility, desperately. To gain that credibility, they actually need to win a match! I dont think they have since arriving in TNA. As their leader, Deamer needs to be the one to give them that much needed credibility. Dreamer in an upset.

I don't know what to think of this match? We saw Dreamer go one on one with A.J. on last weeks impact. I really don't understand this I mean I know it's A.J the leader of fortune against Dreamer the leader of ev2.0. But I don't get why you have A.J one of the best wrestlers in the world facing Tommy Dreamer in an I quit match at a pay-per-view? This match will most likely be below average with some nice spots and I shockingly see Dreamer winning for some reason. Not interested in this match at all.

"Life" hit the nail on the head. Tommy puts others over and always looks good doing it. He is so much more than a jobber too. I'd love to see him win and actually go on a winning streak just to throw us off the sent but I doubt that will happen.:guitar:

I wonder if the title will be up for grabs. The only thing interesting about this match is that its an I Quit match. Dreamer usually loses his matches, but I can't remember a time when he was in an I quit match or said I quit. I just don't think Dreamer will go over AJ Styles. It wouldn't be right for Dreamer to win. All of the Fourtune members desperately need wins so they can continue their dominance. It wouldn't be very dominating if they are losing to EV 2.0. I'm predicting that one wrestler will make the other one unconscious, creating a winner by default.

I can't imagine Dreamer saying I Quit, but I doubt he'll win the TV title. Another guy coming in to TNA and beating the face of TNA for a title. Would lower the morale of the wrestlers who are already bothered by them bringing in talent and giving them their spots.

I hope Dreamer does what he's good and put AJ over. This could be a descent match and I'm interested to see how it ends. I'm sure Fortune and EV2 will get involved.

I can tell you how this ends...AJ is beating the hell outta tommy for 80 or 90 % of the match then outta now where tommy hulks up does a couple of running shoulder blocks, AJ gets up confused takes a swing at tommy but tommy ducks and catches AJ in show spinning back suplex. While AJ is laying on the ground tommy stands over his head and says "you can't see me" runs to the ropes hits a five knuckle shuffle, picks up AJ hits him with an attitude adjustment then locks in the STF for the win...BOOM this story line writes itself !

It doesn't appear the title is on the line here, which is somewhat odd, I suppose. Perhaps that means Dreamer is going to win. Yikes.

The match shouldn't be terrible though. AJ is capable of pulling off a good match against just about anybody. For instance, he had a pretty decent match with Shane Douglas last year. Certainly Dreamer is better than Shane Douglas, at least marginally.

I'm not really big into this whole EV2/Fortune/Wolfpac/Fatal Four/Abyss thing that's going on at the moment. Who am I supposed to root for? It's just stupid.

Anyway, if AJ loses to Tommy Dreamer on PPV, I don't know what else can be done for this company.

The "I Quit" stipulation isn't that interesting either. I guess this'll turn into nothing more than a psuedo hardcore match. Meh.

To think, I stopped watching TNA.

This is pretty much the perfect match to prove my theory that AJ Styles just isn't that good anymore. I mean Christian, little mid card fella, he had some ok matches with Tommy Dreamer last year. Surely Styles is better than Christian. Yes, this is how I work out who are the better workers. I've never seen how this method doesn't work.

Tommy Dreamer didn't quit in ECW, so he's basically going to in this match. It'll be shocking, mark my words.

The more i think about this match, an "i quit" match just doesn't fit whats going on between these two men. This fued is about their families, their friends, the love of the sport ! This is about both men being held back by their companies, this is about pulling yourself from out of the mud and reaching for the sky. This match needs to me "Utlimate X" !!!!

Recall how the IWC wants EV2.0 to be heels?

Recall The Rock vs. Mankind in (i think) in the "IQ" match where they just played his soundbite while the actual wrestler was out cold.

It'd be so awesome if Dreamer outlasted Styles, leaving him out cold then played the sound clip, but it was easily seen as fake by everyone. Pisses off the fans, despite Dreamer getting the title it's not really a push (he could get it taken then ext impact even) and hit the ground running.

No way that happens, though. Ah, stupid imagination.

Pretty sure this is going to be a TV Title match. I don't see why it wouldn't be. Probably just a fuck up on the graphic. Or maybe im wrong, though it would be damn stupid for it not to be a title match. Also it makes me think that Dreamer may go over here.

AJ is like Angle, as he can pretty much have a good match with anyone. Not really diggin a AJ/Dreamer program though. This match should be fine though.

Pretty sure this is going to be a TV Title match. I don't see why it wouldn't be.

That's what I was thinking, but then I had a brain fart. Styles is the heel, he really has to lose this. Especially if it's going to be a Fortune vs. ECW match at Bound For Glory. But if it's a title match you've then got Tommy Dreamer holding the TV title, I can't see it myself. So basically TNA have made a match without thinking it through.

But what do you expect, this is a promotion that puts Tommy Dreamer in Lycra.

I've little to no interest in this match in and of itself. As an I Quit match, it's a hardcore match and that's the only sort of match in which it'd even be remotely interesting to see Dreamer go against Styles in. I've been all over the internet and I can't find anything saying that the title is on the line. So, with the title not on the line, I think that makes it a possibility that Dreamer might actually win this match.

If Styles loses to Dreamer then, personally, I think it'll be a pretty sorry day in the history of TNA.

The fact that AJ's title isn't on the line really is scary. However, I can see the posibility of Dreamer's wife becoming a scapegoat for AJ to win. Similar to how Raven won at HardCORE Justice. If not her, maybe someone from the EV2 faction. At least that's what I hope. Dreamer is a booker now. I hope he's the logical type that knows he shouldn't avert his power to make himself something he's not. A winner. Seeing he booked himself to lose to Raven for the 392nd time last month, I think he is.

AJ Styles

Without the 'I Quit' in this match, I wouldn't see a point in watching it, but since it is, it could get interesting...I see AJ retaining here, why on earth would TNA give Dreamer the TV title? Because it might continue the feud between EV 2.0 and Fortune, but other than that, Dreamer shouldn't win here!

Ooops, MY MISTAKE, I DIDN'T SEE THE FACT THAT THE TITLE ISN'T ON THE LINE...

Now this changes things...Dreamer could well win this match! :)

Yeah, I have to believe AJ is going to win this one. I just can't see him losing to Tommy Dreamer on a ppv, and we're getting closer to Bound For Glory, so the outcome of this match will likely play a part in the EV2.0 VS Fortune storyline. Still, I'm not that excited for this match. I wasn't too crazy about their match on Impact a couple of weeks ago. Abyss' interference was probably the most entertaining part of the match. There's sure to be a lot of blood here(most of it will probably come from Dreamer). Dreamer will of course be reluctant to say the words "I Quit" but I'm sure AJ will beat it out of him at some point.

The fact that AJ's title seems to not be on the line scares me a little as it makes me believe that Dreamer might actually win this match, so that EV2.0 vs Fourtune feud continues until BFG. I think that this could be a good match and the I Quit stipulation makes it more interesting. I think in the end AJ will win.

AJ Styles will definitely embarrass Tommy Dreamer out there. i would of preferred to see maybe Raven as the leader of EV2.0 and put in this match against AJ Styles

AJ Styles has to win this one.

He really has nothing to gain by beating Tommy Dreamer at this point and that's nothing against Tommy Dreamer, but AJ has everything to lose if doesn't win. Hopefully AJ gets the win here.

So this isn't for the Global Legends of TV title? Has AJ even defended it since taking it from Terry? That kinda worries me because now Dreamer has an outside shot of actually winning. Couple that with the fact that I can't even recall the last time a heel won an I Quit match and I foresee a horrible move by TNA management.

The Best's Best Possible Outcome
Dreamer actually wins a match and it's against someone he has no business even being in the same ring as :disappointed:

I said as much in another thread, but the best case scenario if you want EV to turn heel is to have a prerecording of AJ saying I quit played after he passes out. Same thing to cement fourtune as heels, but make it dreamer instead. I cite the example of the rock doing that to mankind years back and that way, no credibility is lost and someone gets massive heat.

I think people should give TNA some credit. Everyone complains that Dreamer matches are predictable losses. Well, TNA says screw you guys let's make it an I quit. All of a sudden Dreamer simply losing is not so simple and predictable. Even if he does end up losing, it actually is a boost to the person beating him. Making Dreamer quit is an accomplishment. Not sure who is going over but I suspect Flair and Foley get involved with this one and play some role in the outcome, rendering the win less important. Should actually be more entertaining than people are suggesting IMO.

The one thing that is most addicting about TNA is it's unpredictability. Without it, you turn into the WWE - a company that makes matches predictable just so people will tune in to see there favorites win. It's a good marketing strategy, but it's just not fun. Case and Point - this match. Honestly, it could go either way. My money would be on Dreamer, but TNA's dying love for AJ Styles might throw him the victory. I can tell you one thing though, this WILL be a good match and I'm defiantly looking forward to it. I mean, who would have thought we'd ever get the chance to see Tommy Dreamer vs. AJ Styles?
