No Doubt Reunion Tour

NSL

Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
Is there anyone else going to this tour? I'm going on June 11th, in Camden. Paramore is opening, which is semi-expected, but should be good.

I've been a No Doubt fan since, I'll admit it, I'm Just A Girl. I like every single they put out, as well as a ton of "other" songs on their albums. Gwen is a great frontwoman, and I've wanted to see this band for a long time. Now that they're touring, and putting out a new album, I had to make sure to go. I've also never seen Paramore, so it's doubly good, although Paramore could fail to show, and I'd still be happy.

I always try to guess what songs a band will open, and close with. I'm guessing they'll close with I'm Just A Girl, since it's their biggest hit, and the song everyone will be there to see. As far as opening, I'm going to guess Hella Good. It's a fun, upbeat, song, and sets the mood for a good party night.

Unfortunately I won't be going to the reunion tour. I like No Doubt. Mainly their older songs, like..."I'm Just a Girl," and "Don't Speak." Gwen is an amazing singer as a frontwoman and as a solo artist. I'm glad that they are making a new album. Gwen has a very unique style. Especially in her music. I just watched No Doubt perform tonight on American Idol.

If No Doubt were to come near by, I would possibly go, granted with me, it would depend on who was on tour with them. As for Paramore, I don't know too much about them, so if that was the band opening, I most likely wouldn't go if I could.

You know, I didn't even realize this tour was happening until they mentioned it on Americal Idol this week. I loved No Doubt back in the 90's, especially when they played rock music. My friend and I were actually just discussing taking in a show if they come around my area (actually, Camden will probably be the show we hit up). I am also a fan of Paramore, so it sounds like a good show to me! I will be looking for tickets very soon....

Great...So, there's going to be witnesses to me dancing, singing, and generally acting like a fool...Please tell me you won't be taking any video...

I'm bumping this thread, because the concert is in just 2 weeks. Around this time, I start to get very excited for the show, and this time isn't any different. Now that I have a job, and have caught up on bills, and rent, I'll be able to get some merch. I'm hoping to at least get a t-shirt from No Doubt, if I can't afford a shirt for both. I've heard on the local radio that there's another opening band, going on before Paramore, but I haven't been able to find anything on who it is...

I just can't wait to hear Hella Good...It's been a while since I've heard it...

I'm bumping this thread, just because I'm still getting more and more excited that the show is less than a week away. It's rare that I find a show with bands that I've never seen before, so it gets me a little extra happiness. Luck has been working with me as well, and it seems I'll be able to afford some merch...

My girlfriend, and my friend, are both bringing their cameras, so I may even have a pic or two to post from the show :D

I hate saying it, but I haven't been that impressed with anything past Tragic Kingdom from them. Doesn't help that Gwen went on to create that god awful song "Holla Back Girl". To pull a quote from family guy:
"I don't know what a holler back girl is, but I do know that I want her dead"

Had they kept with that ska-punk sound, I might be interested.

Anything that No Doubt put out, has the ska punk sound. Anything Gwen put out on her own, is pop. That's obvious. But, what she did as a solo artist has no bearing on them as a band. From what I've heard, they're putting out a new album soon, and they'll probably end up playing something new on this tour.

Thursday night, or most likely Friday morning, I'll be reviewing the show, and I'll include any new news about the band.

This show was amazing. Paramore was great, and lived up to everything I've heard about their live set. They played the songs we all know and love, as well as 2 new ones. I'm actually looking forward to the new album now. There was one heavier song that looks to be a single, and a slower melodic song, which is great for Hayley's voice.

No Doubt was just awesome though. Gwen was spot on all night, and the entire band had such amazing stage presence. There's a lot of bands out there today that could take a lesson from them on how to keep the crowd going all night. I drank a little, danced a lot, and sang to my heart's content. I'm sure if you keep an eye out youtube, my girlfriend will eventually post the video of me dancing and singing "I'm Just A Girl"...
