Night Of Champions - Dolph Ziggler VS Rusev

It's been announced that the third one on one meeting between Ziggler & Rusev will take place as NOC, also marking it as the first nontitle match on the card thus far.

With Lana out of action for what's believed to be the rest of the year, the feud itself is pretty much derailed since the relationship drama was the driving force behind it. Since it's unlikely Lana will be in Ziggler's corner, I'd say that Rusev will come away with a win here due, in part, to at least some degree of interference on Summer Rae's part.

That means that..... OH GOD NO!!

If Lana isn't there, they won't be able to conclude this horrible storyline. More whimpering Summer Rae complaining about her softcore porn moment with Dolph, more Dolph defending his love of Lana and Disneyland selfies, more Lana doing the exact opposite of what made her so endearing before and more of the downward spiral that is Rusev's career.

Would we feel gipped if they just had Dolph end up with Summer, and have Lana via satellite from wherever explain that she's decided to get back with Rusev so they can retcon the fuck out of this stupid storyline? We can't have that, we apparently deserve more and more of someone we don't care about (Summer) shrieking out her angst toward someone who's being underutilized (Dolph) in an effort to usurp the relationship between that person and someone who's starting to make us forget why we liked her (Lana). You might think I'm forgetting someone, but not really. Rusev's only role in this whole debacle is that he's supposedly masterminded this unwatchable clusterfuck, that's not exactly an accolade to write home about.

Rusev needs to win this feud and move on. He looked like he had headline potential before he encountered Cena. After hitting that brick wall he's feuding with Ziggler of all people.

He needs to transition into a feud with Orton, or somebody of a similar stature, as quickly as possible.

They both need to do a double turn like Del Rio/Ziggler did at Payback 2013. Rusev is stale as a heel, even if he do get back with Lana and Ziggler is stale as a face. Rusev needs the win more than Ziggler though.

Rusev needs to win this feud and move on. He looked like he had headline potential before he encountered Cena.

Agreed, although I think the Cena feud did a lot to enhance Rusev's image. He won the first match and looked great in all three. The man has his own style, systematically breaking down opponents in efficient fashion .....which is the mode you'd usually attribute to a good guy. What Rusev has is all his own.

He needs to transition into a feud with Orton, or somebody of a similar stature, as quickly as possible.

The only reason he's been at odds with Ziggler is because of two divas. In my view, Rusev has advanced beyond the Dolph Zigglers of the world and should be facing higher-rated competition.

So, Rusev should win this contest and move up. Since the women have been taken from the equation, I don't know why they'd want to make a multi-match series of these two guys, unless advance planning has already occupied other contenders they might face, leaving Dolph & Rusev with each other for the next couple months.

I see Rusev winning this match and it should be pretty good, only if Summer does not get involved. I would like to see a face change for Rusev and a heel turn for Dolph, Rusev can move onto a feud with Kevin Owens that would be awesome. Dolph can start a feud with Dean.

Rusev desperately needs to win this match. He has been pinned by Cesaro and Reigns. He needs to get some wins. Like Sally said, he has surpassed Dolph Zigglers of the world and he needs to move on to better things.

This feud started because of their girlfriends and at the eleventh hour, Lana gets injured. This is a really bad thing. Lana must appear for this match. Unfortunately, she can’t. I was sold out for Cesaro vs. Owens vs. Rusev until Ziggler showed up Couldn’t he move on to something else. Oh, he had Lana, thus this was inevitable. Why did WWE go this way? This completely derailed Rusev.

As for the match, this could be a good match but, the storyline doesn’t support it. The worst part is that this storyline focuses more on Lana and Summer Rae than it does on Ziggler and Rusev. Anyway, they could give away a good match and that is all I expect. This storyline should culminate now.

You want better proof that the feud sucked ass than the fact that whomever wins this match, doesn't really gain anything? Ziggler's at a point of his career where there's nothing else he can do with his gimmick and his style. He had the drama last year and WWE's brass didn't care. He's a good midcarder and winning here wouldn't matter. Rusev's act is stale and there's nothing else he can do that I want to watch. Make comedy skits mocking Donald Trump and I'll be on Rusev's train again.

Since they really put some time in this story I just hope that Ziggler gets the win. Fuck the girl and carry on doing anything relevant. Same for Rusev.
