According to PWInsider, the new "concept match" that TNA will reveal during its two-hour primetime special this Monday night (February 12) is believed to involve something of a scaffold style match.

This new match will debut at the company's Destination X PPV on March 11.

Hopefully Abyss will be involved. He's absolutley crazy. It's a shame that Sabu is involved with WWE. In fact they should have saved Jeff Hardy just for this match, the only credit I give him is he know's how to take a bump.

Reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling will be announcing a new match called "Elevation X," which will feature X-Division superstars, for the company's March 11th, 2007 Destination-X pay-per-view. "Elevation X" will be a new type of scaffold match, insiders say.

maybe this is what it is:

its not done, but you get the idea.

How r they suppose to wrestle on it. its just a higher version of ultimate x with metal im very confused.

I have no idea WTF that picture a couple posts ago is supposed to be, looks like someone just made it.

Anyway its a Scaffold. Check out This Link for what it's gonna be like.

It's what Ultimate X should have been. Them stupid 'ropes/wires' just have no use for many moves or anything much at all.

Only thing I worry about is high spots off the X. HOW?!? The TNA ring is so small now that they've "cut the corners" and gone to 6 sides, that you won't get these amazing moves off the top, you'll get more of people just falling or dropping off the Scaffold, instead of getting thrown, chucked, leaped etc... off.

I think the idea is that Ultimate X will be for the X-Division, while the HW Division uses Elevation X.

Less room for highspots, which most of the HW Division don't have anyway.

could be a fun concept.

i think if enyone is gonna take a dive off of the scaffold it'll probably be to the outside (through a table or something).

i'm looking forward to seeing it tho.

Anyone got any idea who will be in the first one?

Looks like it's going to be pretty much the Ultimate X, but I guess people will be able to stand ontop of it. I suppose the rules of grabbing the object out the middle will be the same as the Ultimate X, otherwise I don't see much point of the scaffolding.

On top of the Scaffold, they should put the Ultimate X ropes above that, so you have to climb the Scaffold, then grab the "belt" which is higher up.

its gonna be a nice match, but im sick of TNA and its taling about inovation. Its only real innovation is ultimate x, everything else is a reverse something or a different version of an existing match, or in six sides of steels case, the exact same thing of an existing match that they call an inovationg

If I am understanding everything I've seen and read so far, then I think the match works by having four wrestlers start at the top of the scaffolding, and the objective is to throw your oppnents off, and when your thrown off your eliminated from the match, the last man left standing on top of the scaffolding is the winner, that's how I understood it anyway

Looks like a dumb match... TNA is getting to the point where it's concept matches are becoming very WCWish....

WHAT?!?! Hmm seems interesting, but also seems very very dumb! I would be horrified if that's how it worked. Think of it, it'll just be guys hugging & clamping onto one another & everything, hanging upside down and there would be no moves basically. What a couple of punches & if we're lucky a drop kick? Sounds like the "ULTIMATE WARRIOR X", 3 moves and it's over! LAME!

That's what she said. Seriously though, the official rules are exactly that. You have to throw your opponent off the scaffold. Knowing TNA, they'll find some way to lengthen the match. I hope.

Yep that's it I'm calling it "Ultimate Warrior X"!

To be honest, I'm not all that excited about this new match. Don't get me wrong, I love TNA, but sometimes I think they try a little too hard to be innovative.

The reverse battle royal where you had to get in the ring to stay in it? That was just lame.

The king of the mountain match? "Hey, look, I hung the belt! See? See? Now...I do get to have it back, right?"

Ultimate X? Am I the only one who realizes it's just a ladder match that has the competitors to retrieve the prize in a different way that requires them to be a bit more agile? That was what made it possible for Christopher Daniels to take the X-Division title from Samoa Joe. I know Joe is agile, but honestly can you imagine him winning an ultimate X match?

And this match doesn't sound much better.

I agree with the fact that if abyss is involved, he will probably put body his on the line like he did in the barbed wire match with Sabu.

Seeing as they are both in WWE (Hardy and Sabu), who should be his opponent in an ideal situation? I think that AJ would be decent.

Personally I wish that they would have made the scaffold wider so the people up there had more room to perform moves and I would have liked to see it have a kind of Deathmatch rule- Once you get thrown off you have like 30 seconds to get back onto the scaffold or the match ends, but if both go off at the same time it doesnt count for either.

Then it could have multiple falls, more moves used and also have more drama in if a guy would make it back up in time.

What the hell is TNA doing these days? Why don't they put on some good matches instead of all these hokey gimmick matches that have no logic to them at all. A match where there's a penalty box and you hang the title on a hook? That's ******ed, why not see a ladder match, much more exciting. The x division rope thing is okay because of the tight rope action but overall isn't that exciting watching wrestlers shimmy across a rope. Honestly, the Elevation X is just stupid and doesn't look to exciting. Everybody knows that scaffold matches in general, suck horribly. The only good part is watching the guy get thrown off.

They should make it a double X made of Steel. The first X is the what you have to climb up to get to reach the belt, the next X would be higher up where the title is being held (just like the ropes in Ultimate X). That way you could have battles on top of the first x (and fall down) and everyone is trying to climb the thing to grab the title. It's basically an Ultimate X match, but 2x higher & with Scaffold instead of weak ropes (that way bigger guys like Joe & Abyss can compete logically)

What is it with TNA making these random matches? I don't like it one bit and IMO, it makes them look bad. They do a belt match....in which they can only use a belt? What the hell? They push a rivalry that seems on and off for 4 months and once they get all they can get, they stop. But at PPV's, they make a match like this one in which nobody knows what they're talking about until they finally explain it. Any match that you don't know the stipulation of is a bad match IMO at least not worth ordering.
