Getting Noticed By Management
I don't know if this thread has been done already but hear goes. Awhile ago I replied to a thread about who was the better Fourth Horsemen, Ole Anderson, Lex Luger, or Barry Windham. If you were to form the Horsemen today, who would you put in the group and why? The criteria are that the main four must be active pro-wrestlers today that have never been Horsemen, this includes the Diet Horsemen aka Evolution, any retired guys can only be managers. My choices would be Angle as leader since he reminds me the most of Flair with his promo cutting ability, he never has a bad match he's showing he can lead a stable. I could see Jericho but can he lead a stable? A repackaged Kane as enforcer, I'd put Big Show here but Kane is much more kickass, Show's strong but I've always thought the main criteria of the Horsemen was to be kickass. Interesting sidenote, I would've put JBL in his "Bradshaw" gimmick from the APA here because of his no-nonsense style. Jack Swagger, to be that guy you just can't touch in the ring so that they'd always have some one who just wasn't about jumping people. Last would be Dolph Ziggler as the annoying little shittalker. I'd have Flair be the manager like J.J. Dillon so that Swagger doesn't have to speak a lot, he can cut a pretty good promo but his lisp gets in the way a lot. Lastly, I'd put Maryse or Kelly Kelly there strictly as eye candy/girlfriend to one of them. Those are my choices, who are yours? It can be anyone from any company, including independents(ROH, SHIMMER, etc.) mostly because we don't get to see independents where I'm from and I'd like to hear about some new guys.

it would all depend on which company I'd be building the stable for:

WWE -

Raw= Going with young guns here:
The Miz - The leader. I could easily see him in the Flair spot ie the lady killer, jet set, wine and dine leader.
Cody Rhodes - The Enforcer & one half of the tag team. Cody has shown he has what it takes to rise up and make a name for himself and any group he is part of.
Ted Dibiase - The Versatile Wrestler & the other half of the tag team. The new Tully Blanchard, another of the rich pretty boy style wrestlers who could still kick @$$. Keep him teaming with Cody for the most part, but change the team name back to Priceless.
Chris Masters - The Muscle. The spot filled by such names as Ole Anderson, Lex Lugar, Sid Vicious, Sting, & Mongo McMicheal. (Ok let's forget that last one.)

Smackdown = Going with the (well mostly) more experienced grouping here that needs a good push to get them out of their respective slumps:
Matt Hardy - The leader. This North Carolina native has stated in the past he grew loving Flair this could be the push he needs to get over the glass ceiling.
Charlie Haas - Versatile Wrestler & one half of the tag team. One of the best all around wrestlers in the company & currently not doing jack squat. This would also be a good reason for WWE to bring back Miss Jackie to be his "Baby Doll".
Jesse "Bam Bam" Gordy - The Enforcer & the other half of the tag team. Man I know it's mostly his idea but the Slam Master J gimick is really not working for Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy's son. Have him revive some of his father's toughness, flair and old moniker and team him with Haas to help round out & polish his skills.
Mike Knox - The Muscle. He started getting a little bit of a push with the whole "I'm smart but for some reason I like to hurt people" gimmick but that
just really phased out to nothing.

ECW = Really unless they get a bigger roster I could not see the Horse men coming on this show.

TNA -
Frankie Kazarian - The Leader. Yeah I know he's currently Suicide but they could always put some else in the mask and build up the gimick of while he was "retired" he got bored and called a few of the boys and started hanging out with them again and that led to him wanting/no needing to get back into the ring and go from there.
James Storm - The Versatile Wrestler & one half of the tag team. The Cowboy has shown he has what it takes to to be the modern Tully.
Robert Roode - The Enforcer & the other half of the tag team. Bobby has the size and appeal tho really pull this off and Beer Money would really fit into the group.
Matt Morgan - The Muscle. Keep him working the middle area & maybe going after the Global title.

What a great thread. Best stable ever. I would go for this, in the WWE who has the rights, in a heartbeat. I know legacy has a horsemen type thing going, but it could have been better. Flair would have to manage, no doubt. Randy Orton, young DiBiase, and Cody Rhodes would be perfect, but being in Legacy already would take some steam off of it. It would have to include HHH, Flair would insist. I would still go with DiBiase and Rhodes, and maybe bring in someone unknown to be an enforcer type. Miz??? Are you kidding me? That bum should be nowhere near the 4 Horsemen...ever. I wouldn't mind Ziggler, but he would have to tone it down a bit, they weren't as flashy as some people seem to remember them. i really wish they would have scrapped Evolution and just made them the Horsemen, but it was basically the same thing anyway.

Morrison-He would be the Flair of the group.
DiBiase-would be the Mid-Card champion for a while.
Ziggler-I like him, I can't help it and I don't know why. Maybe its the blond hair, he seems like a throw back to Mr. Perfect and I miss that.
Shaemus/McIntyre-Either one, would be your Enforcer.

These would be my picks if we're going with newer talent to be The Horsemen.

MY PICKS WOULD BE FOR THE NEW HORSEMEN WOULD BE.

THE MIZ=RIC FLAIR(WHOOOOO)miz has a great talent future world champion
TED=MID CARD DUDE(great young talent needs a push)
CARLITO=dont know why just think he needs to be doing something and i like him.
Zeke or sheamus=enforcer(zeke could destroy anyone and save all these guys above, same for sheamus).

If I could create another four horsemen, it would be in TNA because I think they do past legacies justice and won't just ruin something just because they didn't create it like how Vince would do. Besides Flair is supposedly heading to TNA, so it makes sense. Not to mention, TNA kicks ass right now!

-Flair would be the manager
1. Robert Roode=number 1 guy(lead guy)
2. James Storm=number 2 guy
3. Matt Morgan=number 3 guy(he could really benefit from Flair)(enforcer)
4. Christopher Daniels= number 4 guy(Can be a good supporting cast. Has the legend aura older look about him)

Leader: MVP or John Morrison, but I’d go with the former. I can’t see The Miz successful in this kind of role because he is too self-centred whereas a leader also has to put over the others in the group without belittling them. Flair was great at that (of course the mic skills of the others helped a lot too). The Miz is just an obnoxious, egocentric frat boy. It just wouldn’t work. I can see him in the old Tully Blanchard role, but definitely not as the leader. MVP has a superstar arrogance without that irritating obnoxiousness. I really believe he could be a big heel and an effective, charismatic leader if he tones down his speaking style a little. If he can’t, John Morrison might be good too.

Number Two: Cody Rhodes. I don’t know how to define this role, other than ‘unofficial second in command’ or ‘leader’s protégé’. Rhodes has enough charisma to make this work. Besides, how cool would it be if the son of Dusty Rhodes, the nemesis of the Four Horsemen, joins them? If Rhodes improves on the mike and can tap into his father’s charisma, he might even be the leader with John Morrison in this slot instead. This role might be a little more suited for The Miz, but again his obnoxious self-obsession might take away from the cohesiveness of the stable to focus on him.

Tag Team: Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler. They were both collegiate wrestlers so they definitely have credibility in the ring and could pull off the image and no-nonsense aura of Ole and Arn Anderson as a tough-as-nails heel tag team. It also helps that both of them have a natural arrogance about them, especially Ziggler who you just want to punch in the face every time you see him. The tag team dynamics would also be clear as Swagger is the big, tough guy (enforcer, if you will) and Ziggler is the sneaky bastard.
