Not to mention having to pay Conan 33 million dollars because they let him go early and then having to pay Leno a bunch more money while Conan's state of the art studio sits there empty.

While the Conan fiasco was bad, producing shows about current topics isn't ******ed. It may be perhaps be considered shortsighted looking back years from now but that's about it really. People gravitate towards what they know and can relate to.

John Slattery as Steve Austin just killed it dead on 30 Rock last week. Pretty much the only reason to bother with NBC.
