Since I don't have a computer right now, I don't want to right out a long drawn out post from my iPod. I just want to ask you guys who is the third best centre in the NBA.

Nène, Bargnani, Bogut, Jefferson or Brook Lopez.

Top 2 are Howard and Bynum of course.

1. Dwight Howard
2. Andrew Bynum
3. Al Jefferson
4. Brook Lopez
5. Tyson Chandler/Al Horford

Yea I picked 6, get over it.

Bargnani is not a center. He is a shooting guard/small forward trapped in a centers body. He is a tremendous scorer but not a very good defender or rebounder for his size.

Are they really? I haven't paid much attention to NBA this year, I figured they were undefeated or close too it. How's Cleveland looking? Is Irving playing well?

They just moved into a tie for second actually, now that I look at it. Wade got hurt, so they slipped a little bit.

The Cavs are okay. Irving is doing pretty well, averaging somewhere in the range of 17 points per game. The Cavs were treading at .500 before going on a losing streak that they just snapped against the Knicks tonight. 7-9 now, I think. They're holding onto 3rd place pretty tight, which is okay by me, considering last year they were the worst (2nd worse?) team in the league.

Irving is legit.

As for centers, what about Marc Gasol? He has to be up there.

Howard, Bynum, Horford, Nene, Gasol

Irving is very legit. The lockout has really pulled me more in to basketball that I ever have been before.

Howard, Bynum, Jefferson, Hortford, Gasol

The correct answer is "Anderson Varejao".

Other than Paul Pierce, he is my least favorite NBA player to watch. I honestly haven't seen a Cavs game in a couple of years, but I remember every time I would watch one Varejao would always flop and bitch and moan constantly about not getting calls. I came up with the clever nickname Varegina.

And he looks like Carlito.

Also, the more I think about it, the more I think I would be on board with trading Dwight for Bynum. I would like to get another player, but I think I could live with a straight up trade. The Magic have to get some kind of value out of him. The Magic also need to fire Otis Smith immediately.

:(

Varejao is one of my favorite players.

Dwight Howard (I am a Magic fan by the way) whines and complains more than any player currently in the NBA right now. Almost every trip down he's always complaining to one of the refs. Of course, without him, we move from top 5 to bottom 5 in the conference, and I'm hoping we trade him before the trade deadline, so we get someone in return for him, but I'm not sure if that will happen.

Also, yeah I'm not a huge fan of Anderson Varejao.

After further review I'd make Horford the lone guy at 5 on my list. Chandler is overrated by his performance last year.

1. Howard
2. Bynum
3. Jefferson
4. Brook Lopez
5. Horford

Honorable Mention: Marc Gasol, Chandler, Bogut, Nene. Deandre Jordan and Spencer Hawes are both playing great this year as well.

Why do you have Brook up there? He's currently injured yea he scores but other then that he doesnt do much he isn't a good defender and he's also a pretty poor rebounder for his size

I'm not taking injuries into account. Just who's the best when they're healthy. Lopez isn't that bad of a rebounder either. He averaged about 8.5 per game over his first couple seasons. Last year his rebounding numbers were down because Humphries took over as the Nets top guy on the boards.

If you're a seven footer playing 35 minutes a game you can't be averages 6 rebounds a game and be considered elite, regardless of is Mr. Kardashian in on your team.

The only elite center in the NBA is Dwight Howard. Bynum may be there, he just has to stay healthy for an entire season. Plus Lopez averaged over 8 boards a game for his first couple years. It's not like he forgot how to rebound. He certainly isn't that great on the boards but 20 points per game makes up for a lot.

Forgot about Noah. Not sure if he's top 5 but he fits his role perfectly and is exactly what the Bulls need. I think Jordan has a ton of potential but this is his first year playing full time. A year or two from now he should be up there though
