My WWE resolutions!

You don't want it with me.
1. Continue to cheer the faces and boo the heels. I can like Edge or Randy Orton as much as I want, but I sincerely think it makes the show better if I boo them. If I boo them loud, then that is the best way to show them that they are doing well. I love a lot of heels but I still root against them. I may like to see them win, but I will never cheer for it. This doesn't make me a shareholder. I sincerely think it improves my enjoyment.

2. Find a way to get Kane a push. I think that two men, Kane and Chris Jericho, are WWE's MVPs. Both men can fit in at any spot in the card and put on good matches. Jericho get push after push and belt after belt for his service, but Kane has been world champ for about 24 hours, and he deserves better. He has had plenty of belts, but would it hurt for him to be put in a feud where he actually comes out on top? Please, Vince, please. If Sheamus can be world champ, why not Kane?

3. Continue to look for the positive. I know that not every show is perfect. I also know that a significant portion of the readers of this thread that Attitude is all they know of wrestling. I came up in the 80's, and I know that wrestling is good without all the theatrics. There are simple formulas to wrestling, good vs. evil, heels cheat, etc., and however simple some of these feuds may be, I think it works out fine.

4. To never submit to smarkdon. I watch to be entertained. I still consider Raw to be one of the better TV shows that I watch. I still consider Raw and SD! must watch TV.

5. Have fun with every show. You don't like the Hornswoggle segments? Well, fuck you, I laugh at them. I know, it's two minutes that could be used to watch epileptic monkeys like Evan Bourne jump around like they're having a seizure, but honestly, those segments are popular with the live crowd, and, when you force yourself to be a mark, shit like that is OK.

1. Stop reading spoilers as they drastically decrease my enjoyment of watching the product.

2. Boo heels and cheer faces I like. TS is right in that booing your favorite heel is the best way to show them you appreciate what they are doing.

Sooooo, what is this thread about, WWE resolutions or what you enjoy about the WWE. I'll talk about what WWE should do to improve their show. 2010 is going to be the year of newcomers. A whole bunch of rookies should be getting pushes this year so it should be very exciting. WWE better utilize the new talent or 2010 is going to be another year of shitty boring feuds. Another thing they could do is really improve the tag team division because it always helped get the young talent over. Another resolution would be to have more wrestling matches and old school promos instead of silly, not funny bits with Hornswaggle and the guest host.

Nice thread, interesting topic. Iv never thought of a wrestling new years resolution.

I Agree with you here that faces should be cheered and heels should be booed.but i am in no way obligated to do so.I feel you can cheer and boo who you want to. Like in a specific match say orton vs cena.with orton being the clear heel and cena the super babyface. i am a huge orton mark so i would cheer for him,not because im a cena hater just rather im a bigger fan of ortons and not so much cena. Generally i find the heels more entertaining than the faces.Just my thought

I think Kane has the potential to be a big player in some major roles if the wwe actually used Kane and not just throw him in squash matches. im not the biggest kane mark but i do feel there arint using him like they could. i also wish the wwe would listen more to the crowd and push people in reflection to that. And to not give up on talent so easily. and stop pushing people the crowd just isent into.

3. Continue to look for the positive. I know that not every show is perfect. I also know that a significant portion of the readers of this thread that Attitude is all they know of wrestling. I came up in the 80's, and I know that wrestling is good without all the theatrics. I couldnt agree more. i never grew up watching the 80's or even the attitude era. But i know the product isent perfect, was it ever?sure its probailly the worst its ever been in a good while, but i refuse to buy into all the negativity. There are portions of the show i like, portions i dislike, and portions i downright loath. But its no reason for me to shit all over a product designed to entertain.and thats exactly why i watch. constant bitching wont fix it. Change will come, when?i dont know only time will tell. so until then we'll have to do with what we got.

4. To never submit to smarkdon. I watch to be entertained. I still consider Raw to be one of the better TV shows that I watch. I still consider Raw and SD! must watch TV.

I try not to succumb to this as well,i first came on these forums to just see others peoples opinions on the product iv come to enjoy. and i was amazed to see just how many people put it down and yet continue to turn in. I really dont get it lol. People have their own thoughts and opinions. and they are free to express themselves. But there comes a time where you have to accept what the product as become and just move on. Im not the biggest fan of PG. But it dosent bother me as much anymore. I watch wrestling for wrestling. As mush as the Pg has effect promos and speeches and over the top storylines. it dosent effect the wrestling, unless of course you minus the blood.

5. Have fun with every show. You don't like the Hornswoggle segments? Well, fuck you, I laugh at them. I know, it's two minutes that could be used to watch epileptic monkeys like Evan Bourne jump around like they're having a seizure, but honestly, those segments are popular with the live crowd, and, when you force yourself to be a mark, shit like that is
OK.

I agree to have fun with the show but that dosent mean i have to enjoy everything they put on it. hornswoggle is a good example.i really really dont like him. but i dont come on here and bitch about it,i simply just switch the channel. thats What i do when i see something airing that i dont like. Just flip the channel.

But to end this, my resolution are to find ways to enjoy the product even when its at an all time low(like some of you say)and not buy into all of this negativity. You can all hate if you want. But im going to enjoy it even when things get a little unbareable at times. I dont get how people can bitch about something your suppose to be fans of. Again this is just how i feel about the wrestling industry and all of its fans who sometimes act as if their more so enemies of the industry and forgot somewhere along the way to just be fans.

I disagree with this right here. I understand its your resolution and you should do what makes you happy as a fan. However I don't think there is any sort of unwritten rule regarding cheering and booing specific wrestlers. I am a fan and I will cheer the wrestlers that entertain me and boo the ones I dislike. I hate Triple H and if he ever turns heel then I'll still hate him. Orton is my favorite wrestler and I'll cheer him as long as he remains so.

Kane is a great worker and can have a different kind of match with anyone regardless of size. However there isn't much you can do for him to get a push outside of continuing to show your support and fanhood towards him at every live show and watching his segments every week. WWE decides the pushes but you can help in little ways.

3. Continue to look for the positive. I know that not every show is perfect. I also know that a significant portion of the readers of this thread that Attitude is all they know of wrestling. You always should look for the positive. Noone wants to be miserable.

I disagree but thats your opinion.

Evan Bourne is much more than an epileptic monkey. He is an incredibly talented performer. Your also in the minority if you find Hornswoggle funny.

That's fine, but you're missing the point. You're supposed to cheer the faces and boo the heels. If you want to show appreciation to a heel, boo him. That is what he's trying to get you to do. When I like a heel, I boo him louder. Cheers for liking Orton though.

I understand that. But I will always support Kane. He's always going to be one of my favorite workers.

You must be new around here.

I disagree but thats your opinion.

That's just it though. The second one becomes consumed by backstage, he forgets to focus on the on stage stuff.

Evan Bourne is much more than an epileptic monkey. He is an incredibly talented performer. Your also in the minority if you find Hornswoggle funny.

Evan Bourne has no charisma whatsoever. Wrestling isn't real, so being good in the ring is not enough to be considered good. No one cares about him. The opposite is true about Hornswoggle. He has no ability, but people love him. If you think Hornswoggle is hated, you're spending too much time on here and not in the arena, because the place goes apeshit for him. He makes me laugh, so I cheer him.

1: Start watching Raw more than every few weeks. I've mainly been following it through the main site and forums. It's ok, keeps me up to date, but I just miss watching it, so I need to start doing it more, especially with the Hitman coming back, even if it is short term.

2: Watch Smackdown somehow. I don't the channel it's on, so I haven't been watching obviously, but I'll try to find a way. Anyone know any sites that put it up to watch?(If so PM link please). I always kind of liked Smackdown and would love to watch it some more.

3: Watch a lot more TNA. For some reason I rarely watch it, I have DVR, so I can watch it whenever, it's just lately with the seemingly cramped airwaves, it's just too much for me to watch, I get lost easy. However I miss watching AJ Styles, Foley, Jarrett, Angle and more, so I just need to do it.

4: I'll keep my fingers crossed and never give up the hope that Kane will get another WHC reign. He is so deserving of it for all he does for the WWE. He is a great all around wrestler and person, doesn't complain, he just does his job and needs to be rewarded for it.

I've been arguing this for ages. They're putting on a story for us, and the heels want to be hated. Cheering Orton goes against what he wants. I completely agree.

2. Find a way to get Kane a push. I think that two men, Kane and Chris Jericho, are WWE's MVPs. Both men can fit in at any spot in the card and put on good matches. I love Kane's use these days. He's there to help the rookies. However, I think a one off title program where he actually wins and stays there, say on Raw, could really help him out in the long run. Give him the title for two months, then lose it to Swagger or something. Then he can go back to helping ECW out. Having him job, job, and job without a winning program will reduce him to Dreamer. And we don't need another Dreamer, promise.

The only time I ever said "Wow..I seriously can't watch this" was the other day when I looked up the December 28th Raw on Youtube. It was shhiiiit terrible. Even then though, I looked to find a good part about it. Sure, it was when Bret Hart was announced as the next guest host, and that was about it, but still. You have to stay positive.

4. To never submit to smarkdon. I watch to be entertained. I still consider Raw to be one of the better TV shows that I watch. I still consider Raw and SD! must watch TV.

Who cares if The Swoggle is DX's mascot? Cena still entertains me more than Punk. Sorry, X.

You're awesome.

I have a few of my own:

1) Sell off some of my WWE shares. Watch more ECW. I usually just watch Raw, and catch WWE.com for the other stuff. I'm looking to get a bit more into it from now on. Oh, and I'm going to be buying WM this year. It's soooo gonna happen.

2) Try to find something nice to say about Shelton Benjamin. I hate that bitch, I really do. But I'll try to find something he does well instead of jumping really high.

1) Watch ECW more often. I don't have SyFy but i'll be damned if I won't try and find a way to watch it online. I see bits and pieces of ECW and they seem to consistently put on good wrestling.

2) Watch Superstars. The last time I remember watching it was when Cena was on. It was a long time ago. I know I watched it more recently, but for the life of me I can't remember which episode. I'm fairly certain it involved Tyler Reks.

3) Stop reading spoilers. I hate myself for doing this. It takes all the shock and awe out of the product. I usually read the spoilers for Smackdown and then end up not watching the show or forgetting, whatever.

4) I have a habit of breaking down the product and listing its flaws, instead of just leaning back and enjoying them. That's another thing I have to quit. It's quite bothersome.
