WARNING!!!!: If you are fond of shows such as Two and a Half Men, Friends, or basically any other overated shows with a laugh track then this is basically me telling you why I don't like them.
Back when I was a child I found shows with laugh track's to be extremely funny. But going back and looking at them and especially the shows of today, I found sitcoms with laugh tracks(Mostly ABC's) are to me the least funniest things on television. How I Met Your Mother was an exception, or at least it was about two years ago when the show was on it's game. Laugh tracks(audience laughter after every joke) is very misleading. It almost feels as though the viewer is either be forced or told when to laugh without even knowing what's really funny. It takes no brain power what so ever to watch a episode of Two and a Half Men and just wait for Charlie Sheen(Refering to past episodes, not Ashton Kutcher) to make a joke, crowd laughs, then the viewer starts laughing because that is the normal reaction to do when hearing multiple people laugh. Now im not saying it should take the highest of genuis or intellect to write a joke or understand it but try watching a show such as the Big Bang Theory without the laugh track or for that matter any other sitcom and see how much of it you find actually funny.
Comedies such as Louie, Scrubs, and various other shows without laugh track has made me bust out with joy way more than a show with it has. Basically im just alittle sick of people saying shows that aren't really funny but are deemed as funny because of something that basically tricks people into thinking it's more entertaining than it is are being called shows of the decade, or lifetime. Your thoughts?
