Mr. Anderson vs The Rock

Occasional Pre-Show
Forgive me, first off, if this isn't the right spot for this, but it's the best place I could think of for this. That being said, let's get down to business:

Mr. Anderson vs The Rock...Throw in-ring ability out the window. STRICTLY from a promo point of view; How awesome would this feud be? More so, how entertaining and FUNNY would it be? I find myself actually laughing out loud at some of Mr. Anderson's promos lately, just like I used to when The Rocky would rip into someone with his "Jabroni this" and "Smackdown Hotel that."

My question to you all is this:

1. Would you or wouldn't you give your left pinky to see this feud?

2. Had Cena and Orton not complained about Anderson, would he have been the next Rock in terms of promo ability and would it have worked as well in the WWE?

3. Do you get as giddy with anticipation for another knee slapping, side-splitting promo as I do when you see Anderson's mic drop? (It brings me back to the good ol' attitude era when The Rock and Stone Cold used to rip the mic!)

It could be good on the mike but, personally, The Rock still kicks Anderson's ass in promos. The Rock is such a talented gab man that you could give him the complete shite they have to say today and he'd still manage to get it over, he's that damn good.

Anderson's alright but, personally, his mike levels aren't up to the Rock's. He's def an upper-midcarder on the mike but not that main event person (like Rock, Austin, Flair, Hogan, Foley, HBK and, when he wants to be, Triple H)

I will say I find his character one of the best of this era which isn't hard, admittedly, but it's still good.

Now, on a level, Anderson vs Punk would be golden on the mike, especially with Anderson's history. That'd be a current day mark out feud for me!

The Rock hands down would win in a promo battle...hands down for me...he was just toooooo goood..the king of promo's in the history of pro wrestling...well then theirs the other king Ric Flair...but i see him as a different type of promo guy...

The Rock was just tooo funny, he always had the crowd laughing...becuase of their promo work, i would love to see these two in a feud...it would be really funny...

Anderson has a long way to go before he's able to be in the same league as The Rock when it comes to promo work. The Rock could literally hold an entire crowd of 15,000 people in the palm of his hand, have them hanging on every word and enjoying the shit out of it the entire time. The Rock could have come out to the ring carrying a phone book, quirked the People's Eyebrow, started reading the phone book and the crowd would still be chanting his name.

Anderson has given some really good promos in both WWE and TNA, but he's just not in The Rock's league. Just because Anderson is out there calling out asshole every 5 seconds during his promos is coming off like a cheap stunt now rather than a catchy catchphrase. Just because Anderson's promos contain a dirty word doesn't particularly give him that much extra kick.

As for a feud between these two, the mic work would easily be the highlight of the feud.

Yep, like most have said, THe Rock was way too good, even from time to time when he shows his face in WWE (like Smackdown 10th anniversary), the man is great in promos and during the attitude Era he was one of the kings of promos.

Anderson is good but still has a long road to go to ever even being considered near The Rock.

Had Cena and Orton not complained about him, he probaly would still be with the WWE but no with The Rock issue, on his first night he was not allowed to shine by Cena who owned him on his first segment, but that was not Anderson's fault, it was meant to put Cena over and Anderson did that. I think he would not have been completely free to put on his promos since you know who was at the top back then and it would have took for Anderson to come back to Smackdown to shine, Raw is way to crowded and The main event scene has been the same for years, at least Smackdown has more leverage on that department and has help created more stars into Main eventers.

And as for the 3rd question, I mean I like his promos but is not (At least not now) like it is a "must" for Impact!. Still a work in progress.
