If someone could post that as i am unware how to that would be lovely.

So in case you haven't heard the director of Fame has made a trailer on a 7,500 budget to pitch for a Rated R Mortal Kombat game (which is the only rating a MK movie should have). Over night it blew up with views, comments, and debates. Debates over the new character portrayals (such as Baraka as a black doctor turned crazy), and and changing of antagonist to protagonist, and the death of a popular character in the trailer alone. Despite all that the trailer has received mostly a warm reception for its gritty scenery and brutality, and outside of Baraka, excellent casting.

I am asking as a fan, how have you received this new trailer and its direction? Do you hope it gets picked up, or gets scrapped? Do you not like the Mortal Kombat series all together an hope it never sees the light of day?

Personally I am beyond exited for it, and feel it presents an excellent style of bringing some realism to a fictional game, even if they did the kill off the best character in the game whom is my favorite.

So yes, I am sure that I saw this thread before but since I can’t seem to find it anywhere, I will go ahead and post in here. I even took the liberty of embedding your video for you.

Anyway, I am very excited for this. Whether it is a movie or a game, I am of the impression that it will probably be one of the best movies I have seen in recent times. Judging by the trailer, I would assume that they will not be following the first movies and basically anything goes in regards to who can die and who will survive. If it a movie, then it definitely has a lot of promise because the trailer has whet the appetite of everyone on the internet and has really gripped them into thinking about what a reboot would mean for the franchise.

Personally, I would love to welcome Mortal Kombat back into my life as I was always a fan of the games and even the first movie. If it is a game then I will be slightly disappointed because this trailer has really given me hope for a new Mortal Kombat movie that is worthy of the franchise name. As a gamer, I have always loved MK and to see it brought into the new generation would be spectacular. What would be even more spectacular, even though I am getting way ahead of myself, is the possibility of shooting some of the movie in 3D. How amazing would that be?

But yes, I definitely think that this should be made into a movie and should hopefully bring new life into a dying franchise. My hope is that it gets picked up soon and we don’t have to wait for another couple of years for the movie to actually appear on our cinema screens.

Yeah I looked before hand and didnt see any previous topics, and thanks for embedding it.

And bringing to a new generation is nice I just do not hope to see hardcore fans shit on everyone else for digging it because "Teh OMG Scorpion is not a g00d guy". Stuff like that can really ruin a good movie for me.

Yes the director has stated in interviews he wants to stray away from the first 2 movies completely and bring about a new story. So seeing people like Lui Kang is not a guarantee as well as other popular characters, although I would have rather seen no Cage, then one who is beaten to a pulp in the trailer.

I only hope he does not mess it up , as he said he does intend to bring about some mysticism to it with peoples specials, like fireballs. He said nothing corny as in Raiden being an Electrician who built special lighting shooting hands.

I just hope it does not turn out to be another Airbender.

It looks a lot more realistic and makes the characters more creepy than how they are in Mortal Kombat 1 & 2. I would love for the Mortal Kombat 3 or Reboot whichever it will be, to look like this however I looked on Wikipedia and the guys who will be playing Johnny Cage & Scorpion in the MK movie are the same guys from the first movie meaning the guys who played Cage (Matt Mullins) & Scorpion (Ian Anthony Dale) in this "trailer" will not be in the movie playing Cage & Scorpion meaning this may not be what the movie and frankly after seeing that trailer, I see no other way of that being topped, so I think the MK 3/Reboot will be disappointing.

uh sorry to burst your bubble but i forgot where i read it but i read that its going to be a mini movie. like an hour long or so which really blows cuz it looks insane
