Morrison v Miz

straightedge martyr

The Chosen One
Now the draft isn't too long away at the moment and morrison is booked in a tag match against the Miz at wrestemania. Here's what i think.

They had a program a few months back around bragging rights, and although they only had one match, i found the feud interesting. ""who's the Jannetty" was a really well thought out promo on the dirt sheet and i found it pretty entertaining. and during the feud, miz had one clean victory while morrison got nothing, so its not as if wwe would be rehashing an overdone storyline.

So my question is... would you like to see miz drafted to smackdown or morrison to raw and continue a feud on from wrestlemania. throw miz's united states championship in there and it could be a great feud.

Would you like to see it?
Who should come out on top?
Am i just a dumbshit noob?

Let me know

It would work, but not for the U.S. Title. Morrison and Miz are both so close to the Main Event, feuding over a midcard title wouldn't make sense. But Morrison needs to work with Miz because Miz could teach him a thing or two on mic skills. And Morrison could teach Miz a thing or two on in-ring skills. All in all, the feud needs to happen, and it will happen on Raw.

i think at Wrestlemania 26, it should end in a draw. then the refs would argue about stuff and give one title to each team and finally break up the unified tag championships. then i think there would be a pretty good fued i think between the two teams both going for the other tag titles

Honestly no. If the idea was a Miz/Morrison feud, then the match should've been for 'Mania one on one. These two have been dragging their asses all over the place for WWE and do deserve to go higher on the card. Putting them together instead of against established stars can hinder the progress. Just look at Kofi and how hot he was when he feuded with Orton. WWE should prolong this and save it for a better occasion. Maybe WM 27.

We discussed this in The Town Square already. Keep it there.

These two have terrific chemistry. I could see this "who's the Jannety" feud going on for years. Just kind of always being there regardless of status with the crowd. A real hatred. You can almost build an entire show around a feud with potential like this. This is one feud (if done right) that could be something they could carry for the rest of their (hopefully) very long careers. It could be the next Rock vs Austin or Hart vs Michaels for the new generation. I love the idea of JoMo coming over to RAW in the draft. If they don't do Miz vs JoMo after WM, I would like to see a Miz vs Jericho feud... come on... you know its going to happen eventually.

I like your thinking, but I have to say no to them being drafted. I think they are perfectly where they need to be. In fact, I think just about everybody is where they need to be. They'll be feuding in the main event in a few years, just be patient :p

I really hope that the tag match at Mania is only the beginning of a Miz-Morrison feud. Hopefully post draft morrison is sent to Raw and can finally have the feud with Miz that everyoen was hoping for after their Braggin Rights/Survivor Series interactions. An earlier post stated something about them so close to Main Eventing that they dont need a mid card title to feud over but I disagree. Having them feud over the US title would be similar to when Triple H and The Rock were feuding over the IC title while on the brink of breaking into the Main Event scene, same for Rock and Austin as well. The two could really use the feud as a stepping stone into the mainevent. They work perfect for foil against one another and both really desperatly need fresh feuds after Mania so why not push the trigger and let them tear into one another.

I personally think that Miz would make some waves on Smackdown. I also think that he and Morrison could have a feud that really lights up Smackdown. However, I think that is where it needs to stay. If the opposite happens and Morrison is drafted to Raw, I think that is a huge mistake on the part of the WWE. Smackdown does not have the same main event talent that Raw does and the midcard is what everyone is talking about. If you add The Miz to that midcard and you have something very special. I don't like the idea of them feuding over the tag team titles though. I thought that that part of the Miz and Morrison was done and dusted. However, it seems that the WWE is keen to push them back into a rushed program over the tag titles and we will all have to live with the fallout from that.

However, one thing I will say is that Morrison is due a win over The Miz and I think that that is the most likely thing that is going to happen. Again, I think this is a huge mistake and will really take away all of the momentum that Morrison has. I think Morrison has what it takes and should get a "Kofi-esque" push to see how far he can go. If he is holding the tag belts, then that fire is extinguished and I wouldn't like to see that.

It really all depends on who moves about elsewhere, but I do think there's a potential for a more long term feud between these two. If you look at Smackdown post Mania, you're going to hae Undertaker off, Batista on the wind down Punk, Edge and Jericho and that's your main event. They might move Sheamus or Show across, but that's pretty much it. As a result, Morrison and Miz would be on the cusp of breaching the main event on that brand and a feud between the two might do the trick. I would like to see a feud between them, because they have good chemistry and it hasn't been done properly yet.

I wouldn't be opposed to the two going at it again. They have great chemistry, and it doesn't matter if they're partners or opponents. It was a little more than Breaking Point, because if you remember they had encounters on Raw, Smackdown, and Superstars, and each lead a team against the other at Survivor Series.
My only worry with them feuding again, is that Miz will once again beat Morrison, and he'll be pushed further back. Miz could stand to lose. Let's face it, they split up one of the best tag teams in the last decade, and sent Morrison to Smackdown, and kept Miz on the "A show." In my opinion, Morrison was the better wrestler and superstar between the two. Now, Miz has done a lot of work, and I think the two are on more even playing fields. I think Morrison needs to go back to Raw, or at least Miz needs to go to Smackdown. If they're going to do this feud, do it right, and have Morrison get the clean win. Maybe put something valuable on the line, like a shot at the champion of the brand their on?
Honestly, what better way to sell the two? I'm not alright with using Mania as a stepping stone for feuds. It's always been the end of feuds, and it's not right to have a match end in No-DQ at Mania, just to further a Raw or Smackdown feud. Let MizShow keep the titles, and have Big Show dump Miz in a title match, and have the belts go to somebody else. Than have Morrison laugh at Miz, and Miz take offense to it. They go on to find out who the better man really is, but with a high stake. The winner of their 1-on-1 match becomes the number 1 contender to the World or WWE title. Morrison vs. Edge or Jericho would be GREAT!

I don't know if a Miz-Morrison feud is in the works after this year but I would like to see it because, as crazy as it sounds, it would elevate Morrison more than Miz right now.

Why do I say that? Look where they both were a year ago. Tag Champs and two of the most exciting heels in the company.

Then Miz went to Raw and feuded with Cena (before the foolish squash) and generally caused mayhem before becoming the US Champion.

Meanwhile, JoMo went to Smackdown and became the #2 face behind Jeff Hardy for months, even getting a spectacular title match. He even pinned Punk twice while Punk was the champ!

But the last six months have seemed like neither has been pushed further. Morrison took the IC Belt because Rey was suspended and Miz got involved in the tag division after beating MVP like 6 times in US Championship matches. Sheamus came out of nowhere to jump both and become a champion and Morrison had to job to Drew Fucking McIntyre and get his world title cred hit.

Now we have both guys fighting for the tag titles at Mania when the whole point of last year was to establish them as elite singles stars.

I really hope that they both get a shot at one of the World Titles because both are two of the biggest reasons I watch the WWE anymore.

And if you want a brand guess, I expect Punk and his society to come over to Raw with Morrison to combat TNA's move to monday nights.

On one hand i really want to see Morrison traded to RAW, maybe a feud with the Miz, maybe feuds with other people. The only thing that i am worried about is that because he is probably getting close to being in the main event (hopefully), will he get lost in the main event on RAW right now? I think he might. I think right now the best thing for them to do with the both of them is build them up on their respective brands, build them into main eventers, then trade one to the other show, preferably Morrison to RAW as i dont see the Miz on smackdown, dont know why i just dont. I think maybe they should keep this whole tag-team feud going for a bit, have them go their separate ways to later continue this feud as well as the whole 'Who is the Jannety' when they are both over as hell and fit well in the main event.

I would definitely like to see the Miz and Morrsion feud and the tag team match at WrestleMania could be the jump-off point. Afterwards, the tag team rivalry can continue for a couple of months before they each split up.

These two are superstars just waiting to be made and I think a feud between them could really help elevate their games. Just look at Austin/Rock or Rock/HHH back in the late 90s when they were just feuding over the Intercontinental Championship.

I remember reading a post on this site where the two were compared to Trish Stratus and Lita and I do see the comparisons.

The Miz is a lot like Trish Stratus.
When she first started out, Trish Stratus was seen as nothing more than a pretty face with a hot bod who accompanied male wrestlers to the ring. Eventually, she wanted to break away from that stigma and make something of herself. So, she busted her ass and became gifted in the ring by working with females more gifted than her and learning from it. She would then go on to become a multiple time Women's Champion.

John Morrsion, on the other hand, is like Lita.
When Lita came to the WWE, she was already an innovator. With her moonsault and hurricanrana, she was noted at one point as being the female version of Rey Mysterio. When compared to Stratus as they started out, she was the more gifted of the two. She even wrestled in matches where she suffered what looked like career-threatening injuries and still came back more determined than ever. Much like Stratus, she too became a multiple time Women's Champion.

The Miz has proven to be a great talker that could almost rival the Rock, down to the catchphrases they both use. Morrison has proven to be a great athlete to the point where it appears he can defy gravity.

A feud can help them improve in the departments they need work on.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
