MMA games- the video kind, the browser kind and any other type EXCEPT board. DISCUSS.

Uncle Chester

I see you, and your penis.
I've never played the UFC games but trying to even understand the concept of trying to achieve a good virtual MMA game perplexes me, but I will surely one day gauge whether my fears are correct about MMA games and play UFC-UNDISPUTED. Until then I'm going to be happily wasting my valuable study time on what seems to be a gem of a fantasy picking game

From the looks of it, the site has a nice amount of members and seems simplistic enough so I would probably recommend it.

Anyway- post any MMA games you enjoy in here.

Well there aren't to many MMA games that I know of. I know that there were a few UFC games made in like 2003 and 2004, as well as a K-1 game, and I believe a Pride game. However, I never played any of those games because I had no interest in the sport at the time. And recently we have gotten Undisputed and EA MMA. I really did not like EA MMA. Outside of the graphics it did nothing for me. The game play was pretty stupid. I did enjoy the Japanese rules though.

My favorite MMA game so far was the most recent Undisputed. I enjoyed the visuals, as well as the game play for the most part. The submission system needs to be worked on and the addition of a TUF mode would be great. Also, a few fixes to the career mode would be nice, but overall I really enjoy playing Undisputed.

I (or my roommate) Own EA MAA, UFC Undisputed 2009, UFC Undisputed 2010, And a couple of the older ones.

UFC 2010 is by far the best, it has it's flaws, but it is a huge step forward from 2009, I do agree with the above poster, a TUF mode would be amazing.

Something good to say about EA MMA, ummm ummm I guess the only good thing I can give it was the submission visuals, the rest of the game just was crap. EA made it to cash in, a couple years prior they had shot down the UFC telling them MMA was not a viable real sport and no one would buy the games, then ones they saw the success of UFC 2009/2010 they had to cash in.

EA MMA is the worst video game I have ever played, and thats saying alot. By the look of the graphics you would almost think that it was made the when the early UFC video games came out back around 2000, but it came out in the last year! But the worst part would have to be the controls, whoever thought that it would be a good idea to flick the right thumbstick to throw a punch is an idiot. I remember playing the game at the actual premiere in Universal Studios, I was all pumped to play it and I got to meet legends like Bas Rutten, Frank Shamrock and Randy Couture. I finally went to play it and I thought ok i'll punch and kick with A B X and Y, I pressed A and it put be into some wrestling stance.....Anyway my opinion of EA MMA is that it is a disgrace to MMA and video games.

I love Undisputed, it is one of my favorite games and I honestly never get tired of it. 09 was really good, the controls were somewhat basic but was enjoyable. 2010 is when it really came together, the controls are great and I absolutly love the improvements on the graphics, movement and roster. The avoiding and countering is great and once you have it down it makes the game so much easier, and the ground work has improved by leaps and bounds. My only problem is that the playstation version got extra charecters including Royce Gracie,Jens Pulver and one of my favorites, Dan Severn. I was extremely pissed I couldnt get those with my 360 but otherwise no complaints and I cant wait for the next one, Stann had better be on there and Cerrone better be on there, then I will be a happy little MMA addict

Oh and I also think that a TUF mode would be epic!
