No one put together any better cards then the UFC. But truth be told it is because they are the biggest company in the world for mixed martial arts and because they have a wider reaching market. They can put on so many cards a year that there is no way for any other company to win, for now. Give it maybe a year or two and we could see Strikeforce make a serious run at the top spot, as long as they continue to get big name fighters and put on solid cards, CBS doesn't hurt either.

How can you not give this to the UFC? Nobody else could even compare to the buy rates, and quality shows they put on. Strikefore comes in at a far and distant 2nd compared to the UFC.

I will be different and go with WEC, even though I think UFC probaly deserves this but I have enjoyed WEC alot this year. So many good fights have came out of 2009 for WEC, Torres-Mizugaki, Cerrone vs Henderson, Cerrone vs Ratcliff, Razor Rob vs Karen D. Brown-Faber II, Brown-Aldo, Torres-Bowles, most of their main events deliver. Most whole cards deliver as well, not like UFC where if you are lucky you get three solid fights in one card. I wanted to vote K-1, mostly because I am a shamless K-1 fanboy, but I just couldn't do it, even though it was great watching Overeem kick the shit out of Badr Hari and Peter Aerts, and the K-1 World Grand Prix this year was very very good too, but besides that there is really nothing happing in the heavyweight division, but at least the K-1 MAX fights were pretty good this year, but to me they really never dissapoint.
