Met Dan Gladden the other day

justinsayne

Cody Rhodes is an excellant
The Twins winter caravan came through town and he was part of it,Tolbert and Valencia were their as well, pretty fun time, can't wait till baseball season starts, hopefully this year we beat them dirty Yankees;)

Who the Fuck is Dan Gladden? I assume he's related to the Minnesota Twins.

Don't take it personal, I just never once have heard his name before.

He was a Twins pitcher for both their WS winning teams ('87 & '91), in game 7 of the '91 WS, Gladden stretched a bloop hit into a double before scoring the winning run on Gene Larkin's single off of Atlanta's Alejandro Pena, in the bottom of the 10th inning, he's currently a color commentator for Twins radio

I second this motion. I'm just glad we were able to keep Pavano and Thome, which is rare for the Twins considering our past of letting players go. Liriano should be motivated as well since he hasn't got a sizable contract yet, and we need to replenish the bullpen once again.

Gladden was not a pitcher. I'm almost positive he was an outfielder.

OK, thanks for telling me.

Being 6 and not a Twins fan in 1991, I never heard of the guy. And not being a twins fan I don't listen to the Twins radio broadcasts.

Twins had a good offseason. I'm glad they actually kept 2 of their own, as it's rare for them to do that. And they chose the right 2 people in Thome and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Carl Pavano, who has been good for Minnesota.

If the Yankees don't win, I would love to see Minnesota get one. Loyal fanbase and now they're starting to spend more money by keeping the right players.

Hopefully the Yankees have a terribly disappointing losing season.

Same with the Red Sox.

And the Phillies.
