Men Hitting Women

Heres my interpretation of this. If you are a guy, you are, more than likely, bigger than a chick. Now, not trying to sound sexist in the least bit, but women are NORMALLY not as strong as men Although, I do know women who are stronger than some men. But, back on topic, I feel that a man striking a woman and completely out of line. If she goes to hit you, just grab her arm or wrist and push her away. I find no reason to strike a woman.

Now, in instances of a guy hitting a friend who is a chick, I've kicked one guys ass cause he was a douche and deserved it anyways, and I've threated to break another's nose, because in the morals my parents set in me, hitting women is a HUGE no no, you just don't do it, plain and simple. Of coarse, there are exceptions, I.E., the chick has a gun to your head or whatever.

What are your guys thoughts on this?

I used to believe there was no excuse for striking a female with your fist. Then I found out kicking is completely allowed.

Seriously though, this is a good topic and a very controversial issue that needs to be discussed and handled in a mature manner. In my opinion, while on average males are to be seen as the more "dominate/powerful" species. The fact is all too often do most bitch-like females try and use this to their advantage.

I've come across several bitches, not females but bitches, who believe strongly that they have every right to lay down on you and open up with a flurry of slobberknockers.. yet they believe strongly that its against everything known to man, and even in some cases feel it should be outlawed, for a male to strike back. I don't quite see it that way, especially anymore.

You see.. I used to be the type who'd see a Female striking me as something I'm suppose to just more or less let blow off and take it for what its worth. Afterall, Females are suppose to be "caring, kind and comforting" creatures.. are they not? So if one were to attempt striking you, surely you deserved it. Thats the way I seen it, honestly. However that was then.. this is now.

Now, I see the light between a female and a bitch. If a bitch gets in my face, and tries laying down on me with rights and lefts. I'll defend myself by blocking them and shoving her to the ground. If she continues, I won't stop to think whether its right or wrong.. I'll lay the bitch on the ground, because theres something they should've thought about before entering the "jungle".

And thats the law of the so-called jungle. Survival of the Fittest. I'm not gonna willingly standby whilst some she-beast tries laying me out. If I shove her down, push her off, warn her and do all I can before striking her back to get her to stop.. yet she continues, the only way to prove a point, is to match her on what it is she's trying to do to you. And thats give her, what shes trying to give you. I'll use it as a last resort, but if I must.. I won't think twice about hitting a Female, if shes threatening me to the point I believe I need to.

Wife Beaters: This is another story, and one I'm complete on the side of the Female for. You see, I foresee 'Wife Beaters' as guys who had a bad life growing up and got picked on a little too much.. so they do the only thing they feel they can, and thats vicious cycle themselves on the next weakest link.. in this case, their Female counterpart.

I don't agree with this, and Males like this should be outlawed, and downright shot. The fact is, there is a heavy difference between defending yourself and trying to show off how strong/powerful you are.

Some of the times, a Wife Beater comes into their own from cheating and getting the punishment in the form of a slap to the face, a kick to the groan, or a straight up punch to the jaw. They'll take this as if they didn't deserve it, and fight back. If I were to do something of that nature (cheat) then I'll know I have whatever just type of punishment headed my way. I wouldn't fight back in a situation like that.

However, to end my points of view.. I will definately defend myself against a Female if harm is trying to be done.. and I'll flat out lay a bitch on the ground, if shes exactly that and refuses to back off for no other reason than thinking she won't get touched because I have a penis.

It would take a LOT. IFa girl was just punching on me, I would probably just grab her, and shake the shit outta her, like a baby. Only two scenario's would I ever justify myself doing more than this....

1. If a group of girls jumped my girlfriend. And I probably wouldnt hit them. JUst dispatch them. Throw them asunder.

2. If my life, or Penis/testicles was in danger. All bets are off now. Ill knock the shit out of a girl. Those are lines that are not to be crossed.

Other than those two situations, I personally feel that there is no reason to EVER strike a woman. Although its somewhat hypocrtical for feminists to talk all this equal shit, then pop off like a crazy person in someone's face and act suprised when they get dropped. Dont want to be treated like a man, dont put yourself in a man's position. And if there is no such thing as a man's position, then you should be able to get knocked the fuck out, all the same LOL

Never should happen. If a girl was hitting me or what not. I would just simply walk away. There should never be any violence in the world, but there is. A man should never hit a women. God put a women on this earth for us man to care for and protect. How can we do that if we beat them? I agree that a women should never hit a man either, but it happens. EDIT: Although if it was a life threatening situation. It would be a tough call. I think I would simply tackle her or something. But I wouldnt hurt her. I would just take the weopon and simply walk away again.

The natural right to self-preservation takes priority over male-to-female ethics. Now, some women just think they can throw punches ad expect nothing to happen. I'm not talking about when you get a chick mad at you and she starts punching you in the arm. That's when you can just suck it up and take it. But when a bitch starts trying to do you some serious harm, like coming at you with a weapon, or throwing shots at sensitive places like the groin, face, or even places like the kidneys and the stomach (you can get some serious organ damage from gut shots), that's when it's no longer a question of morals, of ethics. It's about self-defense. If you can toss a girl off of you, and she keeps coming back for more, then yeah, pop her one in the mouth, and watch how fast she backs off. I had to do that with my sister once. This wasn't your usual sibling fight. She legitimately was trying to kick my ass. I don't even remember why, I just said someting that really pissed her off. Now, my sister is an athelete, she can take care of herself in a fight. If she's angry, it doesn't matter how much bigger you are than her, she's not gonna just let you shove her away. She was throwing some hard punches, she was trying to get me in the face, make me bleed, maybe even knock a tooth out. I warned her that if she was going to throwing punches, to prepare herself for a fistfight. But she didn't listen. One punch, that's all I threw, and it was only after she just barely missed cracking me in the the eye. Got her right square in the nose. But she STILL wanted to throw down. It wasn't until she realized she was bleeding that she backed off and headed for the bathroom. Believe me, I didn't like having to do it. Hell, I felt downright terrible about it. But my brain knew that my body was under attack, that I was in serious physical danger, and I reacted the same way I would have reacted against anybody else. That's the real world. You can't expect to do whatever the hell you feel like and not suffer any repercussions.

I would use my voice of reasoning. I have anger issues no doubt, and if something like that were to happen I don't know man. I think I would do everything I could to stop her. But I would NEVER hurt a woman. Because to me they are God's perfect gift to a man. I would undoubtedly be highly pissed off for sure. But I wouldn't hurt her. Like I said I would stop her without hurting her. I couldn't live with the fact that I hit a women. It would haunt me until the day that I die.

I totally understand where your coming from, and I can't honestly say what would happen in a situation like that. You're probably right. Cooler heads would not prevail. I just can' imagine myself ever hitting a women. Like I said before. God put them on this earth for us to care for, love, and protect. If I ever hurt a women I feel I would be going against his will. But I can't honestly say what I would do If I was put in a situation like that. I know what I would like to happen, yet I know it probably wouldnt go that way.

The only way I would ever hit a women if it wasn't provacated is like if we we're playing around. Even then I wouldnt like knock her out. I would barely tap her.

Back on topic. I see things your way, and as much as I would like to say I wouldn't go to extremes. I probably would. I just hope and pray that I, nor anyone else is ever in a situation like that.

While i agree that the whol concept of hitting a woman is wrong, Never in an instance of just hitting a woman for the hell of it, like a wife beater but there are quite a few who deserve it.

I myself would never start hitting a woman, but if one throws the first hit, im hitting back. as the ones that are throwing a punch(not just a slap, cause a slap is nothing and can be shaken off with ease) are only doing it as they feel there not going to be hit back. which is beyond ******ed, if you wish to be treated equal, equal needs to be on all grounds.

Im not going to stand there and get hit with out doing anything back just because its not considered socially acceptable to hit a woman. While i may be a simple pushing of her off, i wont think twice about hitting if the pushing off isn't going to work

I think we all agree that striking a woman first is a definite no no as far as the moral code goes. I worked security in a club for a few years and to be honest there comes a time when you just have to defend your self. At that point in time it no longer matters that the person might be a woman or even smaller than you. What matters is the fact that they are trying to seriously harm you. Try all the pushing, holding and whatever else you want to but nothing changes an attitude than a quick jab to the beak. It sucks to have to resort to that action, but it's better them than me and I can live with that.

Besides that, I'm with Will on this one. I grew up in Braunstone, Leicester. It's a bit like Dodge City used to be. Except with more guns. And we were taught, honest to god, if a women is strong enough to throw a punch she best be tought enough to take yours back. Now, we moved when I was like 11 into a nicer area with nicer schools, and the first day I encounted a girl/bitch who, as Will pointed out, likes the whole "I'll slap you but you can't hit me" theory of life. Cept of course she didn't know where I was from or how I was raised. She slapped me, I headbutted her and knocked her clean out.

2 days of suspension later, and I'm rethinking my moral code here. Now, over the years I now have the part of the brain working that says "hitting girls is bad". If some woman comes and slaps me, I'll grab her wrist and throw her down, and tell her straight she isn't doing that shit again. She comes at me again, I'll take her down again, but that bitch keeps coming at me, I'm sorry I'm hulking up on her ass and she best of said her prayers, took her vitamins and called a goddamn army cause I'll lay her out.

To end, no I don't think hitting women is right, and I would never EVER throw the first shot no matter how angry I was. They get a couple of freebies when it comes to striking me, and there's a warning thrown out there also. After that, she best hope she grew up in Braunstone.

Equality is equality. Men and women are better and worse at different things in general. However, equality is about a level playing field and in all situations. You can't be equal if you complain about not receiving special treatment. For instance, many women out there make more money than their husband/boyfriend, so they have absolutely no reason to "the man should always pay". You can't expect the husband of a marriage to work the most amount of hours AND do all the housework (nor can you expect a woman to do the same thing). You can't apply the special treatment from decades ago if you don't apply the negative consequences.

As this applies to the "men hitting women" issue: If a man hits a man, he expects to receive a hit right back. If a woman hits a woman, she expects reciprocation. If we're going for equality around the world, and if women and men want to be seen on the same level, then no woman should be allowed to hit a man without assuming she'll be hit right back.

HOWEVER. Before everyone jumps on me for saying this, there are exceptions to the rule:

1) As a general rule, nobody (whether its man vs woman, man vs man, or woman vs woman) should ethically hit ANYBODY for any reason unwarranted.

2) As a general rule, nobody (man or woman) should hit a pregnant woman.

3) As a general rule, spousal abuse (whether its a man hitting a woman or vice versa) is wrong.


The type of people that break the rules above typically have deep-rooted emotional/mental issues, and in my viewpoint, blaming harmful and/or illegal actions on things such as "well I was drunk" or "I was beaten as a child" is still no excuse. A serial killer pleading insanity doesn't make it justified just as a domineering wife-beater claiming that he was raised in a broken home doesn't justify abuse.

Bottom line, there are gray areas, and the stigma of "its always 100% wrong to hit a woman if you're a man" makes no sense, though there are ridiculously more cases in which its wrong than when its right, so judgment is the key factor.

Ive had women attack me for like cheating on them and such. Never hit one. Usually just figured, "Well I caused it, let her get out her anger and go away" Not like it ever hurt. (usually was just laughing)

But seeings as the topic is men hitting women, I´ll go with that. It's wrong, plain and simple. Self defence is a different kettle of fish, and if a woman went out and decided to attack a man, it´s perfectly acceptable to kick and punch and do whatever else you want to do to them in order to protect yourself. I don't remember there being a law saying a woman can attack a man and he can't fight back because she's female.

Anyone saying that there is NO reason to ever hit a woman is in the wrong.

However as for abusive relationships, where the man thinks it's perfectly acceptable to beat his wife (Or vice versa), these are the circumstances I dispise. They should be locked up and the key thrown away if you ask me. It´s unacceptable. Whether he came home drunk from the pub, or she´d burnt his dinner, he deserves to be in prison. If you don't like how she cooks, cook yourself something. If you hate her enough to hit her, get a divorce.

Sociologically, men who hit women, and the vise versa of that are typically those in the lower levels of sociological standings. Men who hit women, hit women because of their own failings in life. They are in a dead-end job, they are upset about their lives, so they take it out on the person they typically see the most. That would be their wife, or girl-friend. I would never take it, just like I wouldn't take it either if I was a women, and my boyfriend hit me. I wouldn't take it if my girlfriend hit me either. In a fight, I am pretty sure that a 6'4, 270 pound guy like myself wouldn't fair badly, but why would I try? If i was having a hard day, I think it would make more sense to talk about. Probably makes more sense, we might solve it out this way. I have no respect for any partner who would abuse their loved one. Every time we would move he would find us and continue doing it. This is a prime example of what I meant. Men hitting women for no reason, except to make themselves feel better. I mean, If my dad ever, and I mean EVER touched my mom, I'd bash his skull in. He's about 6'2 or so, 210 maybe. I am 6 foot, 275ish, and my brother is 6'2 275ish, so, he hit our mom, he'd get it back, probably more than 10 fold.
