Meetings & Dealings with Superstars

hArdyPUNKmArk

I'm better than you!
Hey everyone. I've read a few threads/posts about people's meetings with WWE wrestlers/superstars. I was wondering what everyone's experiences have been (good OR bad) with WWE superstars.

How did you meet them, when and how nice or how ******* they were. More of a fun thread to see what sort of wrestlers are great with fans and what ones aren't. I live in Australia so have never had the chance to meet anyone although I will be going to the RAW show in Brisbane this Sunday so maybe I'll get lucky.

Anyways, post away :)

I met the Hardys when they were doing a meet and greet in Winnipeg. This was when Matt was still dating Lita and they were Team Xtreme.

Matt was wearing a long sleeved Punisher T-shirt and was a bit of a dick. He didn't look up at you when you talked to him, just spouted out inane shit, scribbled his sig and sent you on your way. Maybe he had had a bad day, I dunno...

Jeff was much cooler but whacky to talk to. He liked to use the word "vibe" a lot, spoke with his hands and kind of looked past you when he was talking. But he was very nice, answered everyone's questions.

I've never met any of the big stars directly, but I will tell you a fun story from last year. My buddy and I attended what I guess now will be the last Great American Bash at Nassau Coliseum. After the event, which I think was an average PPV with the now infamous Colin Delaney heel turn, we were walking out and we hear some shouting. The first words I fully made out were "I got Shane's number in my phone right now, I'll call him up!" As we looked around, we saw one head taller than the crowd.

That head was Pete Gas of the Mean Street Posse! I warned you that it would be more funny than a huge siting. However, I started talking to Pete's friend who said they had some drinks and he always gets loud and stupid with some alcohol in him. We continued to talk as we walked out of the arena and Pete eventually comes back to talk to his friend and the friend introduced us. We talked for a few minutes and he was a very funny, friendly guy, couldn't have been nicer. At the end we took some pictures, my friend got his autograph, and they told us to meet them at a bar, though we declined. All in all, a very cool cat and I know he doens't have too much celebrity, but I hope all the guys are like that.

I met Bryan "Crush" Adams and Hacksaw Jim Duggan years ago at a family fun day here in Richmond. Both were as nice as could be. They would try to talk but the lady in charge of the signature booth was trying to rush the people through the line.

I met Henry Godwinn outside of a bank near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee years ago. I was driving with my parents to visit dollywood when my dad said "HOG WWF". My 10 year old self jumped up and said "DAD DAD that's Henry Godwinn". So we basically followed him for like 2 miles until he pulled into a bank. His brother was in the car, we talked to him for a few minutes waiting for Henry to leave the bank. He finally did and I nervously approached him. He couldn't have been any nicer. Stopped and talked to me for a good 15 minutes before saying he had somewhere else to be, but not before allowing me to have my picture taken with him.

I've gone to a bunch of UWF/TNA shows that were done all over the Virginia area and done their meet and greet "ultimate experience" package everytime. I won't go into detail on every tna star. Petey Williams was definitely one of the nicest men I've met. He talked to everyone, even talked to me about my severely taped up digital camera. Same with James Mitchell. He stayed out and talked to the fans about anything. One of my first encounters at this show was with christian. I was waiting in line for a team 3D picture when I felt someone put their arm around my shoulder, turned around and saw him. Won't lie, I totally marked out big time. I was really disappointed in Jeff Jarrett. He was supposed to sign autographs for 30 minutes, he stayed out maybe 15 minutes of that before walking to the back. Samoa Joe and Shark Boy were an absolute pleasure to meet. One show did an online charity auction to be a "guest manager" for each of the wrestlers. Most of the wrestlers barely talked to their guy, even eric young who was my wrestler, but Samoa Joe and Shark Boy both talked to their guys and actually wanted their opinions on how to do the ring entrance to better incorporate them.

in one day my friends and i traveled to san antonio to do some meet an greet with wwe superstars early they day before the royal rumble in san antonio and that night we were to watch a local indy show. we started out meeting Kenny Dykstra and the always hotter in person Maria at a h-e-b plus (grocery store here in texas). Maria was sweet, i got a kiss from her on the lips although neither were planning that it was a she turned towards me when i was going to kiss her cheek. Dykstra was a cock just sat there and really took the asshole high school cheerleader gimmic to heart, later that morning we met Mickey James and Mr. Kennedy, it was awesome cause they had those bands given out and we were not going to be able to meet them but he looked right at me and my friend and before they started letting people from the band group up he called for us to come up, what a stand up guy and mickie james god id tear that pu&&y up much hotter than Maria in person. aFter we walked away from them we just happened to have to kill some time before we met the next set of wrestlers so we were walking through the san antonio mall and on the way back after mickie and kennedy left we saw a tall big muthafucka standing there waiting for the crew to pick shit up and we went over and talked with the guy and turned out it was hillbilly jim. he was an awesome guy and gave my friend and i alot of the shit they had left from the days earlier games. loaded us up with wwe board games, cena dog tags, hhh inflatable sledgehammers, hbk bears, dvds, cds, wrist and headbands, t-shirts and more. we had to go into the near by old navy store to get bags to carry all the shit in. so anyways we went to the next stop an car dealership we met paul london, TBK, and Ashley, this was the worst time i had ever met any wrestler and i have met a ton of wrestlers. paul and brian were fucking cool as hell but ashley was a fucking cunt and a half stupid callgirl ****e, anyways i didnt have anything to get ashley to sign so the night before i started looking through all my shit and i found a playboy (cant remember the year or month but it has a blue sky cover with shannon daughertrey on it) that had a picture in it with the name Ashley Massaro who knew? so i took that up there and she totally threw it off the counter saying it wasnt her and that i was a prick so i called her a ****e and left. we went to the indy show that night and met Hotstuff Hernandez and he was fucking awesome and stood outside in shorts and a wifebeater in 40 degree weather and talked to us for a good hour before we left that night

First Wrestler I met was HHH. This was way back in the old days before the whole Game gimmick. He seemed nice.

Kurt Angle. Didnt even know it was him.. He seemed pretty cool.. It wasnt really the right situation. It was at Eddie Guerrero's Funeral here in Scottsdale Az. I was working for a news station back then, and I was covering the funeral. They had us outside the cementary and he came out to talk to some of the fans that were there. He was just hanging out with the people for about half an hour.. not sure many people recognized him... if not he would have got mobbed.

I met Stone Cold at the advance screening of The Condemned. He was really nice. He signed a lot of autographs. Joked around with the people.

Met Ron Simmons and Hillbilly Jim at the fan axxess they did one year.. both were nice... Met Eric Bischoff and Val Venis the following year at the Axxess event. Got to meet them before the bracelet crowd cause my friend was working the event. all four of them were really nice.

Met and interviewed John Cena at a press Conference for Make a Wish. I was covering the event. He was really cool. He said it was funny cause i was the only one to ask him about the surgery he just had.. He even signed some stuff and took pictures with us.

The last wrestler I met was Rey Misterio. He went to the station I used to work for and I took my godson to meet him. He was really cool.. hung out for about an hour. He joked around a lot with my godson who is seven.

All in all. the people I have met were pretty cool.

Back when Eric Bichoff was fighting Eugene at the Cyber Sunday payper view I was at the monday night raw before and got picked to be the butler in that skit. It was amazing backstage talking to superstars and Vince Paid me Himself 100 Dollars.. It was AWESOME

I've said before, I went to an autograph signing for CM Punk and the guy is a jackass. He was over an hour late, wouldnt look at or talk to anyone, and would only sign certain things. The guy was a dick...plain and simple.

However, I have also met John Cena and Chuck Palumbo, both of whom are nice as can be. I met cena at a restaurant where I got a few autographs, said a few words, and went on my way. Chuck Palumbo happened to be riding his bike into the arena parking lot at the same time as me. About 15 others ran over and he posed for pics and talked to eveyone for at least 20 minutes before heading in. He was a great guy to talk to and was very nice to everyone there.

I've met Cody Rhodes before, it was him and Kelly Kelly doing a signing at a video games store. This was before he was in legacy, back when he was teaming with Bob Holly. All the guys wanted to oggle at Kelly, so I actually got to have a chat with him about the Zelda games (because of the triforce on his shoes), ideally I would have liked to have talked to him about his father/brother and things, but meh we're both 23 year old Zelda geeks!

Here are the talent I have met or seen interact with others over the years:

Talent I have personally met

Triple H- quiet, but nice.

Chris Jericho- met the guy twice and surprisingly I didn't think he was all that on either occasion. He posed for a pic, but it seemed more like a chore, on both occasions.

Edge- ironically enough, I bumped into him on an elevator around 2002 or so. It was just him and I in the elevator and I made a quick comment about the dead crowd at the Albany PPV, to which he responded that it was "pitiful". I wished him best of luck with his career and he did the same back to me.

Matt Hardy- best encounter I've ever had. 100% class act.

Jeff Hardy- friendly guy but kind of "out there".

Debra Marshall- very, very friendly

Sensational Sherri- rode with a friend who picked her up at BWI for an Indy show. Another friendly encounter, but was running behind for the show and seemed upset at herself for missing her original flight.

Refs Jack Doan and Chad Patton- both great guys ... especially Doan.

Kelly Kelly and Victoria Crawford (Alicia Fox)- week they debuted at OVW. Victoria was friendly at first, but seemed moody. Kelly was friendly, but quiet.

Michael Cole- was at a table with him and a group of staff members in New Orleans. He was fine this night because he was drunk. Joking with me and everything. The next day I saw him, he was kind of a prick.

Tony Chimel- hysterical guy. For those that don't know, this guy is constantly ribbed backstage and is frequently the butt of jokes. Hard worker though, as he's been with Vince since Mania 2. Very nice guy.

Victoria (Tara)- very, very, very friendly woman. It's a shame they didn't push her more in WWE.

D-Von Dudley- another class act and very friendly guy.

People who I never approached but saw interact with fans in public:

Tazz- absolute dick. One of the biggest assholes I've ever seen interact with fans. I've seen him interact with fans on at least 3 different occasions in different cities, and he was a pure ass to people.

Lita- very moody and bitchy. I've seen fans approach her on two different occasions in two different cities ... once in an arena before a show started and another time at a public place. Both times she was pretty bitchy and acted like it was a chore for her to sign an autograph.

Eric Bischoff- saw him at a bar for Wrestlemania 21, and he was sitting down with casual fans and simply talking with them. 100% class act.

All 4 McMahons with Triple H and Marissa McMahon- they were at a funeral home for a viewing for a long-time WWE employee who I knew that passed away. They only stopped in very briefly to pay their respects. Kind of hard to gauge their personalities since it was a funeral setting, but I at least saw them and they were talking to the family of our friend for a bit. (BTW, Vince is absolutely larger than life. The man is humongous. That was the first and only time I have seen him in public and away from a WWE environment.)

This is my first post, and this is a good topic to post in. I've only had a couple of meetings so far, the first being at my very first ever event, and it happened to be a PPV. It was Unforgiven 2002 and I got to meet Rico. He was really friendly, took pics with anyone who wanted one and signed whatever you wanted signed. He was really a pleasure to meet.

This past year at my local K-Mart I got to meet The Miz and Layla. I waited over an hour and a half and it was totally worth it. Just a shame the dumb security and management did not allow fans to take pics with them, but just talking to them and seeing how much they appreciated us coming out to see them was great to see.

I used to wrestle on the independent scene, so I've met quite a few people...

Road Dogg (B.G. James, whatever you want to call him) is really cool both with the boys in the back and with the fans. Would always stay after the shows and chat it up with whatever fans came up to him, willing to sign anything and take pictures with anyone.

Marty Jannety was cool with the other workers, but kind of a dick to the fans. He was charging $15 for an autograph at first, but no one was willing to pay that, so he lowered the price to $10. Charged $5 just to take a picture with him.

Raven was fun to chat up in the back as he was funny and had a lot of good stories. Signed everything "Raven wuz here" as big as he possibly could. He didn't really interact with the fans at all and went out a back door when the show was over. A little strange at points, as it seemed like he literally would go in and out of character and his mannerisms and voice would just change while talking. To this day I'm not sure if he was just messing with us or what... I have always been a huge Raven mark, so it was awesome working with him.

Shane Douglas was awesome. Spent a lot of time with the fans before and after the show and was cool with all the workers. Offered a lot of little advice.

Not enough good things can be said about Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer). He would come to every single show that I worked in the Gulf Coast area (not for me, but just because his love of wrestling). He would hang in the back before the show, but once it started, he would go out and sit with the fans in attendance and even purchase some people's drinks and food. Always willing to take pictures and sign stuff for people. Percy came to a good bit of our training sessions and worked with us a little. He was trying his damnedest to get a WWE territory in the area, but stopped pushing for it once his wifes health worsened (may she RIP). His cousin Marcel was really nice as well and would work some shows with us.

Scott Armstrong helped with some of my training and even gave me my gimmick and ring name. Always cool with the fans.

Robert Gibson worked just about all of our shows and helped out with some of my training.

Kevin Northcutt was cool. Slept with one of the local guys sister... The guy came with a shirt the following week that said "Northcutt Slept With My Sister" on it.

My head trainer worked developmental with WWE for a little while... name is Bobby Doll. He made it on TV once, back when the APA was getting in bar fights. He was one of the guys they beat up at the bar.

On a side note - I worked a show in New Orleans once and there was a guy coming in to do the Doink the Clown gimmick. He also said he could do the Mr. Wrestling II gimmick. Well, the promoter in New Orleans didn't know a whole lot about wrestling, and advertised Doink the Clown vs. Mr. Wrestling II. Needless to say, the match didn't happen. LOL.

Other workers I have met at signings: Gregg Valentine, Virgil, Honky Tonk Man, Samu, Iron Shiek, RVD, Sabu, 2 Cold Scoprio, Eddie Guerrero, Hugh Morrus, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Rikishi.

I met John Cena when he was promoting The Marine when I was stationed on Parris Island. He was really cool to talk to and met. I got his autograph picture, autograph DVD, and a picture with him.

I met Ric Flair back in January at a local event. He was really neat and you should have seen the line to see him. He is very popular with the fans and you can tell he loves the fans.

I met Buff Bagwell a few time now at local shows. Once he was sort of a prick but I figure that's because there were women in line and he'd rather talk to them. Other times he was cool. I have his autograph picture and signed figure.

I met Rock N' Roll Express quite a few times now. Ricky is really awesome and loves the fans and still entertaining. Robert was cool to. I have there autographs of course.

Barbarian was interesting but really didn't bring up conversation with me. I do however have his autograph.

Bobby Eaton really loves the fans even though he usually plays the heel roll at places. He is easy to carry on a conversation with. I have his autograph.

Patriot was kind of weird and didn't have much to say. I got his autograph but it's no the show poster. He didn't bring any pics or anything to sign. He cam with his son so maybe he was pre occupied but didn't want much to do with the fans.

Rikishi was pretty cool but put himself above others as he charged more for his autographs than everyone else on the show. He was nice to talk to. I had a card for him to sign. He said "ain't seen this in a while".

Maestro - He liked the fans, even though he didn't have many. Instead of pictures to sign he had printed picture on regular paper.

Rosie - He must have thought he was some kind of bigshot he charged the same for an autograph as Kishi but when I gave him a card to sign he wanted to charge me $10 to sign it. I didn't let him I didn't think he was worth double what Rikishi was. He talked to you but I don't understand why he thought he was better than others when his career in WWE didnt' last long.

Chris Hamrick was a nice guy I got his autograph for my collection.

Jay Letal and So Cal Val were giving autographs at the Bound For Glory PPV last year they were really nice and loved the fans.

I met tons of WCW Wrestlers back when I was about 13 or 14 years old when WCW was still filming out of the Disney MGM studio. My family and I just happened to be staying at the same Residence Inn they were staying at. You can imagine my surprise and how lucky I felt. Just to name a few off the top of my head, I met:

•Johnny B. Badd (he was the first one I ran into)
•Ric Flair
•Sensational Sherri
•Booker T.
•Stevie Ray
•Alex Wright (Who I swore up and down as Sting without the face paint until he signed his name “Alex Wright”)
•Col. Robert Parker
•Bunk House Buck
•Terry Funk
•Paul Orndorff
•Jim Duggan
•Buff Bagwell (before he became “Buff”)
•And a whole bunch of others that I forgot about.

Funny story, I asked Flair where Hogan was and he gave me this look and said, “He’s at the Disney Hotel.” I asked him “Why is Hogan there and not with the rest of the guys??”, and he paused and said let’s go look for Sherri. As soon as I saw her, my first reaction was, “Oh Yeah!!, where is the Macho Man??” (Randy was still with the WWF at the time, so to say that was the wrong question to ask would be appropriate).

Later on that day, one of the guys, I’m not sure if he was a wrestler or one of the non-wrestler employees gave me and my brother tickets to see a taping of WCW Saturday Night. That’s when I found out the hard way that Wrestling isn’t 100% real. I was sitting there in the stands like everyone else, just enjoying my time. During a match, (I can’t remember who was in the match) I saw Jim Duggan behind the curtain, just standing there. I got his attention and he gave me a thumbs up. I’m like, “okay, that was weird for him to just be standing there watching the match from behind the curtain.” Then all of a sudden a second Heel comes out and the two Heels in the ring beat up the face pretty bad. Well, wouldn’t you know it, out comes Hacksaw with his 2x4 cleaning house. I must say, I was a bit shocked when I put it together. My first thought was, he knew the Face in the ring was going to get jumped.

To top it all off, I lost my autograph book. Oh well. Best vacation as a wrestling fan.

On a separate occasion, I met Jericho in Philly for his book signing. It was during the “Save Us” campaign before his debut. I was wondering if he was going to show up on Raw that night and I told him I had an extra ticket for him if he wanted to go to Raw. He said, “Awesome, I’ll get the popcorn and the drinks.” I got him to sign a copy of the book as well as my Vengeance 2001 DVD cover. One down, three more, virtually impossible, signatures to go. That’s okay, I got the winner’s autograph. HAHA!!

on a side not i forgot that when i met adamn copeland "edge" i had taken my copy of The Highlander with me, when he signed it he was all like man no one has ever brought this to get signed I was like why it was a fucking good movie and if u were a wrestling fan at the time u'd have know it was edge in the movie, on a side note it was right before he was a bad guy and a few days before he and lita got together and he commented on her being really hot and said she had some nice tits i thought it was funny cause that night i was telling my dad and then when i turned on raw that next night BOOM lita is with edge funny as hell.

Mick Foley came to my college to do a talk onstage. This was also to promote his new book (The Hardcore Diaries). Anyway, he talked onstage for at least an hour and a half and after that there was an autograph signing. He was an absolutely great guy. He was a little rushed because it was so late at night and there was a big crowd, but he did more than just the bare minimum. He took pictures and signed whatever you wanted. I had a knee brace on because I was recovering from surgery (I get injured a lot). We talked about injuries because both of us had had some of the same ones. After that, he wished me a speedy recovery and went on to the next fan. It was all rushed, so I only spent like 2 minutes with him, but he was a really great guy.

Kelly Kelly- I was at a live event back in January and during the first match, she came to my row because my sister was chosen to answer a question to get front row seats...During the match we talked and she is really nice and funny

Gregory Helms- I was in NC on vacation and i went down to a local supermarket and he was in the same isle as me...this was when he was still injured, he is as funny as you see on TV...Great guy

Chris Masters- It was like his 2nd month in the 'E, and in the parking lot he was signing autographs and I got to talk to him, he was really nice and posed for some pictures.

first time for me was in 2005 when they came to Perth.
i met:

John Cena - Rushed but is a really nice guy.
JBL - prick.
Rey Mysterio - This guy is a 100% class act.
Eddie Guerrero - Really nice person had a conversation with him for about 10 mins.
Big Show - Nice but quite
Teddy Long - This guy is the fucking bomb xD.
Torrie Wilson: She is really nice.
Carlito - Guy is literally cool lol.
Booker T - Guy is another class act.
Orlando Jordan - Stoned off his tits.
Charlie Haas - Class act
Rene Dupree - Nice, Asked me if i wanted a pic lol.
Funaki - Best person ever lol
Luther Reigns - Bit of a prick.
Mark Jindrak - Really Nice

Tommy Dreamer - Nice guy
Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat - I marked out in the airport when i saw him lol. Nice guy.

Finlay - dude is soo buff up close but a prick.
Stevie Richards - Soooo Nice.
Michelle McCool - Fuckin so nice
Victoria - A total sweethart lol.
Chavo Guerrero - Dogged every fan.

July 8 im meetin them again =]

Most of the WWE superstars I met were at a house show in Kitchener, Ontario in October of 2003 or at SummerSlam 2004 in Toronto. I'll see if I can separate the two dates. I have pictures with most of the superstars I met at the 2003 show.

2003:

John Cena: This was just as he was going from a heel to face and starting to gain momentum toward a main eventer. He was an absolute class act. He signed anything and everything and talked to anyone for as long as they wanted. I am not in the least bit a fan of Cena in the ring, but as a person, he is awesome.

Rey Mysterio (sans mask): He was enjoyable. Talked for a bit. Obviously, he was pleased that people recognized him without his mask even though we had seen it for a few years in WCW. He is shorter than my friend who is only 5'5.

Orlando Jordan: I met him on a couple occasions. He was always all smiles and pleased to talk to everyone who approached him.

Chuck Polumbo: I did not realize how massive he was until in person. He seemed intimidating as he walked toward the door, but was generous to stop and turn around when I called his name. Very friendly.

Dawn Marie: She was absolutely beautiful in person. A nice lady and even joked around for a little bit.

Shelton Benjamin: He almost hit me with his car and looked quite angry when he stepped out. Still, he joked around with a few people and was laughing for a while before heading inside. A real nice guy.

Doug Basham: Very friendly. You could see that he was thrilled to be with the WWE and really embraced the fans and appreciated his time with the company.

Gail Kim: Very attractive. Was going out with Doug at the time and she was pleased to sign anything as well.

Paul London: All smiles. He was real hilarious and joked around with everyone who talked to him. It's a shame he was fired as he is incredibly talented and a great guy.

...I may be missing a couple.

SummerSlam 2004

Eric Bischoff: We met him at the WWE Brunch at Planet Hollywood. I told him that he was a genius and really appreciated his work. He smirked and made me scream that he was a genius as loud as I could. He kept saying "LOUDER!!" He played it well. I ran into him at the hotel afterward and I told him it again, he repeated "louder!" Great guy. Class act all the way.

Rhyno: Very grateful and generous. He was always smiling even though he wasn't on the card.

Torrie Wilson: Very beautiful. All smiles and seemed to be enjoying the interactions.

Charlie Haas: He was real friendly and talkative. I was surprised as he'd never been given the mic time but seemed to speak quite well.

Jackie Gayda: She was with Charlie. They both interacted well.

Rodney Mack: A very large human being. He was surprisingly nice and took the fans seriously.

Jazz: She was backing the Mack. Not many approached her, but she was happy to talk.

Todd Grisham: A friend of mine kept telling him that he was the "Next Big Thing" in broadcasting because JR had previously said that somewhere. Grisham joked that he couldn't be called that because of Lesnar.

Michael Cole: Complete knob and evaded the fans by quickly jumping into a limo.

Tazz: At least smiled and waved, but jumped in with Cole.

Matt Hardy: He seemed frustrated but signed a bunch of stuff for everyone. He said thanks and talked a bit... Nothing major.

Lita: I messed up her match for the card. She was angry about that. But, she then laughed after I said that she actually had a real storyline going.

Chris Jericho: I was alone when I asked him to sign something. He said he was sorry that he couldn't as he was in a hurry to get to the show. It was 1:30 in the afternoon. Anyway, he stopped to take a picture with a handicapped person on his way to the car. That was classy.

Edge: He was sitting in the hotel lobby by himself. I politely approached him to sign something and he was grateful. He seemed happy to be back in Toronto. I asked him if Christian was around as he was injured at the time... He said no and I asked if he was rehabbing in Tampa and he said that he was. He seemed happy that I was a little bit of mark as we talked about a few things here and there. He knew that I loved E & C. Overall, Edge was all smiles and took a few pictures with us and talked for a good five minutes. Along with Cena and Bischoff, I think he was one of the friendliest people I met.

Again, I think I am missing a couple as there are a few names on my WWF hat that may have faded or I cannot make out the signatures.

More recently, I met Jeff Jarrett in the summer of 2007. He was supposed to return to action at a show here in Ottawa. This was following the death of his wife. Bret Hart was also suppose to appear, but there was a huge storm in Chicago and his flight wasn't able to make it to Ottawa. Bret was to have a promo segment and sign autographs during the intermission. I was totally disheartened when they announced Bret wasn't coming. I idolized him and Owen throughout my childhood was really looking forward to finally meeting him...

Anyway, Jarrett took Bret's place in signing after the show. He was quiet. You could tell that he was still bothered about his wife's passing. There was about 200 people trying to get him to sign stuff in the short period he was out there. Some people were saying some derogatory things toward him, which was quite disrespectful considering the circumstance. He signed my Top 50 Moments in TNA History DVD. I told him that I wished him great success and to keep going because with all he's been through, he is an inspiration to us all. He really didn't make eye contact with anyone when signing, but as soon as I said that, he looked over, smiled and said "thank you." He also shook my hand. I've always been a big fan of Jeff Jarrett, and of course I was a fan of his tag team with Owen, so it was a special moment for me.

I met Bret Hart at a book signing in December 2007. I didn't have a properly coloured bracelet that would allow me a proper photo-op. My time with him was supposed to only be about five seconds, but it was about half a minute. I informed him that it was an absolute honour to meet him and that I have idolized himself and Owen all my life. He looked at me and with a huge smile on his face. He loved the fact that I mentioned Owen as well. He shook my hand and thanked me for coming. He then posed for a picture. It was a perfect moment that I will never forget. It was a great honour to meet a childhood hero of mine.

I have only personally met one wrestler and had a very short but pleasant interaction with him. I went to a TNA house show in 2007 and after the show I ran into Booker T. This was early 2007 when he was feuding with Robert Roode. I told him that he was a great wrestler and that I appreciated all he did for the business. He thanked me and we spoke for a few minutes before he left. I got a picture of me and him on my camera phone. He was a class act.

I actually got to meet Candido/Skip, Sytch/Sunny and the guy who played the Cloudy character. It was in 1996 after the KOTR PPV. They were staying at a Hampton Inn outside of town. I think a few other midcarders were also staying there but I didn't feel right asking.

Anyway, I got an autograph but no photos since they were on their way back from the pool and I actually didn't have a camera. I had driven up from Chicago with a couple friends to go to the now historic KOTR show and was simply shocked to have met Sunny in her prime and Candido. I told him how great the tag match the Bodydonnas had with the New Rockers was, as it actually was pretty good and had some spots that were a little different and fresh for 1996 WWE/F. Sunny asked me what I thought of the Gunns vs. Godwins to which I replied, "You did your part well but the match kind of wasn't too good." The two of them agreed 100% and noted that the Godwins weren't very good without actually saying such.

I also met Oscar, the guy who was the manager of Men on a Mission during their face run. It was at the Rosemont Horizon in 1993 and he was happy to sign stuff for fans for free. Met him again at KOTR in 1996 and he was aprick to all the fans, wanting to charge 50 dollars for a signed photo. Guess post-wrestling life wasn't treating him so well.

Not a wrestler, but I met Vlad (think that was his name) a couple times. He was the guy in the Hogan tshirt who went to all the old school WWF PPV shows. He was also at ONS in 2005 and I think went to a lot of WCW events. He was nice to fans who recognized him.

One negative was meeting Stacy Keibler in 2002. Me and a couple friends saw her in a store after a house show. We were hesitant to go up to her but decided to anyway which was a mistake. She was a complete snob and bitch to us, telling us she didn't have time before strutting away with a po'd look on her face. I thought it might have been her playing a heel, given she acted that way on tv. But I've heard a lot of negative stories about fans meeting her in the past. I've heard some nicer ones in recent years so perhaps that was a bad day for her.

I have met quite a few WWE & TNA stars during my lifetime. Anyways here is the list of superstars that I have met(they aren't in order) & I probably don't remenber all the stories about the interraction so bear with me on this one.

John Cena- Me & my son were at WM25 Fan Axxess as my son is a huge John Cena fan. Cena is a 100% class act as he signed the cover of my son's John Cena DVD & took a picture with him. He also signed my white t-shirt. Just a nice guy overall.

A.J. Styles- I was at the PCW arena in Arilington, Texas where I went to wrestling school there til money problems forced me to not attend that school anymore. Well A.J. was there to compete in a match for PCW(I can't remember who his opponent was) & he stopped by at one of our classes & he was a really nice guy as he talked about alot of things related to wrestling & he asked the entire class on what our opinions were on his matches.

Lance Hoyt- He ran the PCW wrestling school when I was there & when he's not training he is a nice guy as he would gladly answer any questions that you have for him.

CM Punk- I saw him at an airport in Houston as the WWE were flying to some other city & me, my son & my 2 friends were going to fly back home to San Diego. Well he's a really nice guy & he signed my white t-shirt that I had on.

Booker T- A really nice guy. I met him at the charity event he was holding on Wrestlemania weekend. Anyways I asked him how much it costed to get into his wrestling school down in H-Town & he told me the exact price & of course he gave me the number to contact him at if I had enough money to pay for the wrestling school(I still don't have enough money). His wife Sharmell was also a very nice & sweet person & she looks very very hot in person. I also got the both of them to sign my white t-shirt

Taz- He's pretty nice in person actually. I saw him at a restraunt as he was sitting at the table infront of me. He signed my Taz shirt & my DVD cover of the Rise & Fall of ECW & was just generally a nice person.

Matt Hardy- 100% class act when I first saw him in person at an autograph signing for Wrestlemania 17. He interracts with a ton of his fans & he actually liked the opinion that I stated in a blog of his on his myspace.

Jeff Hardy- Nice guy, but a very "out there" type of personality.

Michael Cole- Prick

JBL- Prick, but at least he gave me props on being a Dallas Cowboys fan(I was wearing a Michael Irvin Jersey that day).

Victoria (Tara)- Very nice person & really hot in person.

Batista- Prick

Chris Jericho- He was a really cool guy when I met him.

Edge- Really nice guy

Christian- Same as Edge

Jack Swagger- A really nice guy. He took a picture with me & also signed the same white t-shirt that CM Punk, Booker T, Sharmell & John Cena signed.

This is very interesting. Some people say Taz is a jerk, while others say he's nice. Same with CM Punk. Everyone seems to be agreed on Cole and JBL, though. And Batista.

I really hope I can meet some wrestlers when I finally go to a show.

Wow, awesome stories everyone. Thanks for adding to my thread.

Keep em coming though, it's interesting to hear all of your stories and opinions on the guys. I really hope I get to meet some of the guys at Brisbane's show on Sunday, I'm starting to get excited haha.

Keep the stories coming!
