Mass Effect

Didn't see a thread for this masterpiece, so I made one. Who else truly loved this epic, part one trilogy, game? Bioware really outdid themselves with it, I didn't think anything could put over KotOR on Xbox, but Mass Effect did it. Great, great characters; awesome storyline so far; big, beautiful universe(something I haven't seen since KotOR); and truly badass gameplay.

The only thing that sucked about it, is we had to kill a great villain like Saren in the very first game. Aw well... he showed his true colors in the Boss fight and hopefully Mass Effect 2 will have an EVEN BETTER villain; who, along with the vessel Sovereign, probably won't be taken down until the last installment. That would make the game truly godly.

The sidequests were terrible. It was the same thing over and over again.

I loved the game at first, but I honestly would stop playing the game for a month before going back to it like 3 different times because of the sidequests. They were just a chore. Rocky mountain planet with the same objectives, really ruined this game for me.

I loved just about everything else, but to really level up your character you needed to do those sidequests and I can't explain enough how much of a chore they became. They were boring.

thats just really nitpicking. the game itself was very well done in my opinion. you had to do the side quests even if they were boring as some of it were fun like the one where you had to get the biotech officer from his hideout. I haven't had the chance to play the new DLC yet.

i liked just doing the side quests for the sake of it, like to get items and guns and do up my stats

i really liked the game and how you could influence others to do good or evil
its driving was a bit bad and there should have been a variety of vehicles but for a first in the series a good starting point

it has great facial features and voicing for nearly everything

The DLC was worth my money IMO... but that's something you'd have to decide for yourself. Bring Down the Sky added a nice side mission/story to the game not to mention introduced a race they left out of the original game. Also it's not bad, beating Bring Down the Sky will get you an item of your choice... those I will not tell you but they are entirely new to the game.
